This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Hate my Targets, everyone buys everything as soon as it goes to half off. Figured I would try to stash a copy of The Last Remnant and Silent Hill. Hopefully they make it to 14.98 before they are found (doubt it though)

On the up side, did get Galactic Civilizations for 2.48 (all 3 had it and wanted to pick up something)

I don't know how relevant or obvious this is, but I was told locally that a ton of games were pulled into the stockroom in the last week or so to make way for the big month of releases coming up. Hopefully we will start to see some of the X360 versions of these games go on clearance.
 
My Nascar 09 rang up $7.48 today at Knoxville, TN. I didn't even know it was in my stash. Pure rang up $0.00, not sure if it was worth it though.

Are Sing It (PS3/360) and Rock Revolution (360) worth $9.98 and $4.98 respectively? Rock Revolution seems to be pretty bad in IGN/gamespot reviews.

I'd only get Sing It if you have kids or younger siblings. The game only has Disney Channel artists. I mean, if you like Hannah Montana then you could enjoy it.

As for Rock Revolution, as Cheapy puts it, I'd give anything a shot at $5.
 
I kind of struck out at Target last night, one Target I went to had dropped the price of TR:UW and Last Remnant to $14.98 but the one copy they had of each had gone. I did manage to get NCAA 08 on 360 for $14.98 though, for the easy cheesemints.

The next Target still had TR:UW at $29.98, and Rock Revolution was still $13.98, ah well, maybe next week.

I'd get Rock Revolution at $5 if only for the master recording of Paralyzer.

I mean RB2 songs cost $2 each, so for $3 extra you get a whole(crappy) game.

I got fracture and mercs 2 for 9.95 each at Miami target yesterday. They also had endwar for 14.95. Plenty of tomb raider 360 for 29.98. And plenty of the sing it bundles. Joy!

On Monday 3/2 I saw Soul Calibur 4 (PS3) for $34.98, Singstar ABBA (PS3) for $27.98, and Bolt (PS3) for 30% off as well (though I didn't look at the price because there's no way I'm buying it). This was in Norman, OK. On Tuesday (yesterday), both copies of Soul Cal were gone but the other games remained (multiple copies of each).

Rock Revolution (game only) was also 30% off.
 
fable 2 le?? fear?? madden 09 a.e.? can`t find them at my target in victor, ny. they have a ton of fracture and rock revolution. how come my target never has the good deals??

You'd think that, but it's not true unless that is your favorite song in the entire world. Playing RR is like listening to a low-quality bootleg of a live RB version of a song with people talking over it.

Pure was worth it for me when I picked up 2 copies at 50% off (1 was an xmas gift back then).
The 1000 GS was fun to get for it too. Although, I like any kind of off-road race game :D



As for my local SoCal Target's, they seem to be going downhill quickly :(

One of them I was in last night had split the games between 2 different end caps, and ALL of the 360/DS games have gone missing :hot:
They still had 2 RB Bundle's (for the PoS3 though) at $98 though
 
In Arnold, Mo, they finally marked down tomb raider to 15. I grabbed an extra hoping to trade someone for Soul Calibur 4. They had a few Soul Calibers at 30, but as soon as they went down they magically disappeared. . .
Too Human, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, and Fracture are still $20.
 
Does anybody know if the PS2 version of Rock Band 1 SE the instruments work on Rock Band 1 or 2 for the PS3. Meaning, I want to score a RB1SE for the PS3, but if that doesn't come through I saw RB1SE for PS2 at Best Buy. First time in a year I found something worth getting (PS3-wise). My Target is never up-to-date with the markdowns, has a limited selection of titles, and just blows overall. I blame it on one of the employees snatching everything up. Maybe I'll start stashing?!? Anyways picked up...

Yes, they do. One of my friends is using that as their RB2 instruments on their PS3. Not sure if it works on RB1 on PS3. Only drawback is they are wired.

Checked in at St. Peters Target... basically the same stuff that I've reported already without price drops. They did add some more peripherals (3rd party stuff for PS3,Xbox360, and a Wii Fit Battery Pack). It's kind of full on that shelf.

Also went to O'Fallon Target. They had the main game endcap with some games behind glass (PS3, Wii, and DS) and then 2 other endcaps of peripherals/accessories.

Not clearance but it was a price drop...

Ended up picking up a set of :psp: Skull Candy Icon Clip PSP headphones $13.50 {207-00-0919} going to use them with my ipod while working out. They seem like a tight fit and they sound pretty good. Just didn't feel like spending a lot of money.

I try to look for a cheap Farcry 2 no luck at all.......

For all of you hiders, where do you keep your stash? I'm seriously considering starting this because everyone around here seems to buy up all these crappy games when they're way too expensive.

I swear I looked at the PS3 version of RB2. I thought it has the exact same instruments, hence my question. Both for sure had a sticker that said "hub included". Or an I confused and the RB1 packages are the exact same (excluding the game of course)?


I'm with the rest of the crowd, my local target is the same as the others, the deals disappear at 30%. Only the real bad games hold out for longer, and usually disappear at 50%.

I hardly ever say this but not really for RR.. I bought it for $10 and all of the songs are covers and the worst part is when the colors they're not in rythm with the song like RB or GH.. so it's pretty shitty, there are some really good songs but really bad covers on them

I would have stashed SCIV for when it drops but they still had it behind glass marked down.Once its out of the case and in normal clearance area it will be stashed :)
 
I never see anything on clearance at my local Target's (minus some Bratz GBA game and other junk like that). I'm gonna have to start looking around the store for hidden stuff now.
 
I think I already posted this, but I doubt many people read through all 99 posts. The "Find At Local Target Stores" tool, posted in the OP, works just as well as what they have in stores with the exception of not listing exact stock numbers. For example I bought Fable II LE and refreshed the site on my phone and within the two minutes from buying it to my car it went from "Limited Availability" to "Out of Stock" so the tool is very much a live indicator of what's in stock.

The reason something will show up on the tool as in stock but you can't find it is it's either stashed by an employee/customer or stolen. Stashed by an employee and stolen you can't do anything about, but if it is stashed by a fellow customer there's a chance you can find it.
 
Today I got Haze for $7.48 and TR:U which did not scan at the register but was adjusted to $29.99. I figure it will be a buy and return when it hits 14.98, as they had about 6 remaining.
 
Quick question about hiding games. If that copy you hid is the only copy left, will they still drop it in price. Obviously they probably wouldn't know where it is but would they know if they still had the one in stock based on the computer. Then what happens, when they drop the price in the computer, to that one copy of the game? Say they know there's a copy left but when it comes to marking the price sticker down on the game, they can't find that one copy. I'm just curious as to how this works when people hide games.
