This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.
Hahah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this guy is crazy.

And before you go on some conspiracy theory rant of how one of those guys is me, than I must sadly inform you that I was between Alexandria and Fredricksburg all day for work...so...
I'd be pissed of some jerk was hiding all the games I wanted to buy. It's like if I am chocking and someone hid all the water...

but I also admit it's a bit over the top. regardless stashing is annoying now. I hope clearance games go back behind the glass.
Well we have someone in the target thread who admits he stashes and it is probably the same clown who posted that information on the other site the other day bragging about it. Still AP should be cracking down on these stashers. Stores shouldn't be used to hide your shit in a safe spot til the price goes down.
Do you know what games he stashed, I'll be in Chantilly on business this week and was going to pop into Target, be interested to know what games I won't be getting.
Wow! Really? Are videogames this serious? I dont know who to feel bad for first, the guys hiding the games or you for taking their picture and posting it on a forum "catching them in the act" LOL...this is silly
Nah, I dont think this is silly, at least we can put some faces to some stashers. I hate stashers so we need more pictures so we can bring these scumbags to the public... I like it!

I'm actually confused at how the hard drives are at $37.xx. At 75%, they should be $49.98, at least the ones over at my Target.

Oh, and SlimGatsby, if you're reading this, I've been keeping my eyes open for a Megaman X Maverick Hunter for a while. Our Targets seem to be out, unless they just happene to find one around.
Picked up a freakin 750 GB Western Digital Elements External HDD for $37.xx
Not that I can make you feel any better about the deal, but "NICE"! I saw them at $70+, but they were gone before the next drop.
Well today I decided to see if I could get a good look at our local clearance stasher in Chantilly.

Today the pricing team was SUPER late... at 4pm they were still doing electronics. I decided to let the clearance team do their job and wait it out, but would swing by after awhile and saw these two sniffing thru the clearance items.

stasher.jpg

The first guy I actually tried to follow him to get a good look at him. When I wasn't around, he grabbed like 3 360 games and took off towards the clothing department. I saw him take the games into the department but didn't follow him just kept an eye on his general location. Then no less than 2 mins later I see him in the cd department (near the photo lab) and none of the games where in his hand. Yep, looks like he stashed them.
I am starting to think that this stasher has an insider working in the clothing department who hides his shit under the counter. Then comes back some time later to pick it up when he reads the price has gotten cheaper on here.

The guy is about 6 feet tall, thin build, brown hair, glasses. Wears those jackets you see mechanics wear around the shop...so he might work at a near by auto shop/gas station.

The other guy on the right , was going thru all the games with his fingers and not picking up anything.

I've seen both of them in that store before around the same time.
This rocks !!! We need to expose these Douche boxes . Anyone defending them are just little turdmen . If your gonna stash , be prepared for your fifteen minutes of Douche-fame .

Someones stash was found at my store and i got a $9.98 Far Cry 2 !
Thank you stash-clown !!!

Or maybe he put them down somewhere because he decided he didn't want them? Several people here admit to doing that. Nowhere in your story did you say you saw him stash anything. Yet you're "exposing" him as a stasher. I hope you're not a cop. Or a journalist.

Jeez. Why didn't you follow him home so you could post his address. Then maybe go through his mail to get his name?

All I'll say is if somebody tried to take my picture to post on here because I was thumbing through the clearance games but didn't pick anything up (which is typical), I'd moon the SOB.
WD Elements 750 GB External hard drive 080-00-0987 $37.48

Thanks for posting the details :)

I'm not embarassed to say that I picked Hulk at $14.xx. Such a fun, destructive, glitchy game.

zomg will be looking for that 750gb external!.. even though I have a 620 external.

Finally got a good enough deal to return & rebuy. Got :360:Far Cry 2 last week for $19.98. Went back today, they still had a few copies & it was $9.98. So, returned my (sealed) copy for a Gift Card & bought a new one.

Missed out on the last copy of Mirror's Edge, though. Saw 1 copy, behind the glass, last week for $27.98. Today it scanned for $19.98. However, it was gone. Have not really seen many copies of ME, at any of the Target's I have been to.

I understand your intent, but seriously, this is a super-super-bad idea.

Just imagine, if you will, how ridiculously violated either of those dudes would feel if they found out some guy on the internet was taking pictures of them while they were shopping.

Why would they feel violated? They are shopping at target not some skeezy porn store. They have no right to privacy in public. Don't want your picture taken? Don't go out in public, Otherwise your free game to be photographed.

That's hilarious. I'll start wearing disguises now. By the way, if you guys are looking for Mirror's Edge for the Xbox 360, there are literally a ton in Houston at the Dunvale location.

I saw the last Dead Space for $30 so I grabbed it even though I don't know if I want it. It's funny how once the price drops to a certain level, they take it out of the case and throw it on an unattended end cap with no security stickers on them.

There is a difference between showing up in the background in someone's vacation pictures and some guy following you around while you shop taking pictures of you.

Wow, I am shocked-- and annoyed my schedule prevented me from getting to Target today-- about the HDs going to $37. Last time the portable HDs dropped at my local stores I picked one up in the morning and decided to get another as a backup for work stuff in the evening and the entire stock (20+) was cleared out.. I don't have much hope the 4-5 HDs over 2 stores survived to the morning at this point. sigh.

WOW, didn't think some of you would go to such extreme measures. Well, whatever I guess to satisfy you. Will check Target tomorrow and I'll post any new findings.

:pc:
Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 $4.98
Unreal Tourney III $4.98
Iron Aces $2.48

Bought too much crap but some of these electronics deals at 75% off are too good to pass up

WD My Book 500 gb usb/firewire HD. $32.48 [080 00 0370]. The 750 GB one others reported is a better deal, 250 GB more for $5 more.
Trutech Ipod alarm clock speaker station and charger $9.98(saw 2 other brands for $10-15)
GE Corded Speakerphone digital answering system w/ caller ID $7.48
Vtech cordless phone w/speakerphone and caller id $9.98
Energizer compact aa/aaa battery charger $2.48
Canon printing calculator $3.74
Sony srs m30 portable compact speakers $7.48
100' rg6 coax cable $5.18
RCA cable couplers $.72
12' s-video cable $3.37
12' rca audio cable $2.07

headphone o-rama:
Philips Bubbles earbuds $3.58
Skullcandy - $4.xx
Sony MDR V150 $5.24
Philips shl9500 $9.62

After test driving all of the headphones above, here's a mini review for those that might be interested: The Philips bubbles sound tinny and have hardly any bottom. Ok for a spare and comes with a splitter. The Skullcandy headphones have a full sound spectrum and sound pretty good but have the lowest volume out of all of them. If you have a device that can push them louder they aren't bad. The Sony's have the most bass but are a little boomy and not very clear on the mids/highs. Still well worth $5. The Philips shl9500 are the loudest and have the best clarity and would be my faves out of the bunch. Rich sound and good bass too. The biggest drawback is they don't contain sound very well and may bother others within earshot. Edit: Upon further listen I'm liking the Sony's more for the fuller sound and comfort. The Philips seem midrange heavy after awhile.

I bought 3 of the ps3 blu ray remote bundles for 12.48. I'm thinking about selling the blu rays and 2 of the remotes at cost to CAGs if anyone is interested. I already have 3:10 to Yuma on Blu ray and I'm going to buy the new T2 Blu ray when it's released. I just needed the HDMI cables and the remote. If anyone is interested in any blu rays (I have 2 copies of 3:10 to Yuma, and 1 Terminator 2) or the remotes, please PM me and I'll get back to you the 1st or 2nd week of May after I'm done with all my finals.

I also bought one of the western digital 750 gb hdds for $75 on friday. Not the greatest deal, but I had a feeling I wouldn't get them for 75% off, and I was right. Today they were all gone

I also bought a Panasonic Standalone DVD burner for 50% off at $90. It was originally $179.99. It upconverts dvds to 1080p. The DCPI is [008 06 0836]. I figured it would be gone before it hit 75% off. I hope this at least helps someone find one for $45.

A victory for stashers so it seems .

I saw X Blades (360) & Mirror's Edge (360) Sunday night, marked at 41.98 and 27.98 at the Redondo Beach CA Target (next to the Galleria mall). Monday they were marked down to 29.98 and 19.98. There was only one copy of X Blades, and 2 left of Mirror's Edge after I bought one myself. I also noticed a couple copies of the Civ IV: Beyond the Sword expansion for PC at $9.98.

We have had hardly any copies of Mirror's Edge here, so count yourself lucky. They disappeared from the case when it was reported on clearance here, then mysteriously turned up in the clearance endcap in a couple of locations a few weeks later. Kinda like Luke in the garbage compactor...

Nothing new at the Target I checked today. OTOH I didn't spend much time looking: they decided to stand out from all the other stores at the mall by turning their air conditioning off (or it broke). It was 93 today. Never seen a Target so empty at 6 pm.
I only see one or two posts that XBLADES 360 dropped to 20.XX.. anyone else confirm?

Im heading tomorrow to see whats going on...
I picked a copy up of X-Blades for 14.98 yesterday.

Already have the rebate offer filled out, so total cost $10!

Is Far Cry 2 worth it at $13.xx? I saw a few copies at my Target last night, but have read that you either love it or hate it.

Basically I don't have time for every game I want to play in the world, but I don't want to miss the games that are those rare gems that comes along. Is Far Cry 2 one of those gems because of the unique sandbox FPS approach or is it just a 'good game' so to speak?

If you're pressed for time, Far Cry 2 may not be for you as it's an open world game. Beyond that I've heard almost nothing but praise for the game (beyond the sickness mechanic).

You need to be able to put time into FC2 as there is a lot of driving around from safehouses to mission points -- sometimes that seems to take longer than the actual mission itself. Beautiful landscape and the story is pretty good, ok controls -- game kind of gets repetitive, typical to Ubi.

Overall, I bought it at $14.XX and I played through about 1/2 of it before I got tired of it. I enjoyed what I played, but I acquired other games that were more exciting to play and just got burnt out.

I say wait for another drop if possible, if not, then I would probably grab it.

The Target in Whitehall, OH de-clearanced Mirror's Edge for Xbox360. Last week it scanned $27.98 or something like that, but yesterday it scanned full price at $39.99.

Far Cry 2 is an amazing game, in my opinion. I bought it for $60 when it launched and I don't regret the purchase. It's one of the most unique FPS games I've ever played.

Are you sure about that? MSRP on the game is $30 now everywhere, including on Target's website.

quantum of solace (PC) - $7.48
Unreal Tournament 3 (PC) - $9.98
Sam and Max: Season 1 (Episodes 1-3) - $6.98

there was a PSP syphon filter game, but didn't catch the price. also a bunch of casual mystery PC games. don't remember anything else...

Thanks for the feedback on Far Cry 2. I was ready to buy at $13.xx, and to my surprise it was only $9.98 at the Target I went to over lunch! That enters "no brainer" zone for me. :)

Oh, and not sure if this was reported already but Super Mario Strikers for the Wii is being clearanced out at $34.xx.

Snagged a Soul Caliber 4 for $14.98 today, thanks!!

I wish Kmart had the same clearance on GOW2 LE... found one locally and it rang up there at $69.99 =(

Finally bit on Dark Sector (360) at $9.98. They've had one copy for the last week and a half, it was fate.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (PC) $4.98 - ONLY ONE LEFT!!!
UT3 (PC) $9.98
All FC2 gone.
MLB FO Manager (360) $19.98 (waiting for a drop to $9.98, hasn't happened yet)
Sonic Unleashed (360) $24.xx
X-Blades had been there for $27.xx (I think) and now they're gone.
One Mirror's Edge @ $27.98 was there Saturday but now it's gone. Saw a few copies for $19.98 at another store about 15 minutes away last weekend, though... might have to go back this weekend.

I stopped by the Gardena, CA Target on my lunch. They have clearance games scattered all over the place. 3 Endcaps in electronics littered with games. Clearance games behind the glass on the video game shelves, and games in the pc section. Here's the notable games I saw and tried to photograph on my iPhone:

X Blades (360) $29.98 1 copy left (Endcap)
Endless Ocean (Wii) $20.98 1 copy (behind glass)
Dawn of War Soulstorm (PC) $20.98 1 copy left (PC Games section)
Unreal Tournament III (PC) $4.98 1 copy left (Endcap)
Civ IV: Beyond the Sword expansion (PC) $13.98 4+ copies (PC Games section)

Other games (iPhone photo quality not great and the prices are too blurry, so the prices are best guess from my memory):
Sonic Unleashed (360) 3 copies (Endcap) $24.98*
Shrek's Carnival Craze Party Games (Wii) 2 copies (behind glass) $14.98*
Far Cry 2 (360) 5+ copies (various Endcaps) $19.98*
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2009 (360) 2 copies (Endcap) $29.98*
*not sure on exact prices

Lots of other games about too, but none really stuck in my mind. Didn't pick anything up myself this trip.
