This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Havent had time to search through the whole thread, but does Target usually have any good PC games on clearance? Any good deals out now?
 
don't know if its been posted, but went by target at irvine spectrum and saw:

Spider-man web of shadows (ps3) clearanced at 29.xx
Tom Clancy's End War (ps3) clearanced at 29.xx
Farcry 2 (ps3) clearanced at 29.xx
Viva Pinata (ds) clearanced at 14.xx

didn't really pick any of them up, although spider-man did peak my interest...it'll probably go down to 20 bucks a pop soon enough thou...end war just doesn't look fun, and i already owned farcry2 (but sold it before playing it).

I was thinking about picking one of those up too for $12.48, but I wasn't sure how the database with all the questions is doing. Have you tried downloading questions from the database yet? How is that?
 
Picked up Mercenaries 2 for 360 $14.98. There were 6 more in the case. Even the guy who rang it up asked me how many were left. Makes me wonder if the hoarders here are actual emplyees.

Looks like they may be ridding themselves of a ton of GBA stuff. There were no prices on the games, but there were about 10 titles on the end cap. Nothing stood out though.

Mine only had it for $41, I even checked the number in the scanner and still the same price.

lol, unless that guy has some kind of employee discount, he probably makes like an average of $5 an hour profit on a good day. What a waste of clearance games. And anyone buying Mercs 2 for 59.99 still is even more of an idiot, lol.

went to 3 targets, picked up the only copy left of Mercs 2 for 360 for $14.98, and a copy of Virtua Fighter 5 for PS3 for $4.98.
 
Whew... finally updated the list. Sorry to abandon you guys. Thank you very much for the DPCI you guys have been putting in.

But a few things:

-If you are reporting a game and price which has already been reported (Say, Too Human, 19.98), please do not post again unless you're posting a location or the price of the item is lower. This would help me so much to be able to update the list faster.
- If we're going to have moral debates, can we switch it to abortion or gun control? Just something different from hiding games.

I completely agree with Friend Of Sonic. Reading every page I see the same prices getting posted over and over again (and with no locations mentioned it's unnecessary repetition)

Friend of Sonic I think you should put this in BOLD size 6 font. People seem to miss/avoid putting their location a lot. It only clutters the thread.

I was ready to download questions to the console but stopped after finding that there was no way to purchase additional questions after your initial allotment of 1800 downloadable questions was used up. The help section of the TPDC transfer program said you could buy some codes online, which could be redeemed for more questions. hasbrotoyshop.com had no details about buying codes.

Getting the questions to the stage of transferring wasn't difficult at all. It appears that the question device should hold around 5000 questions, give or take a few hundred.

A toy endcap at my local store. It appears that that's where the remains of the holiday clearance toys have gone.
 
If anyone would like to assist me in aquiring one of those $15 copies of Mercs 2 I'd be grateful. I'd also like to get my hands on a cheap copy of Fable 2 CE. My local Target only has 300 copies of GH Aerosmith.

WTH ... it's still $27.98 at my Target! Picked it up at that price anyway. There were only 2 left and they just took them out of the cabinet. They weren't going to last long now.

Ventura Blvd Target in Woodland Hills, CA

There were plenty of Fracture, Too Human, Disney Sing It, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, Mercenaries, Web of Shadows and more, but they're all above $20 still (I think $27.98 on the first 4 and $41.98 on the other two, but I was in a hurry).
 
I noticed that the Target I went to had a shelf tag for Pirates of the Carribean (Xbox 360) for $4.95. I don't think it's on clearance but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Sorry if it has been mentioned before...
 
Mercs still $19.xx at mine...

did see 3 x Rock Band (360) Special Edition clearanced for $90... will wait further though I won't need it. will be good for resale... I think?
 
Picked up Mercenaries 2 (360) for $15 and Lock's Quest (DS) for $13. I'm eagerly awaiting for a drop on a few of the other games at the store near me.

I haven't seen them drop the price of Gran Turismo Prologue yet but I'm definitely waiting for a cheaper version of that demo. ;)
 
picked up mercs 2 for 15 at the sawmill target in columbus OH they had 2 left in the case right behind the pole just in case anyone is still looking

They probably had the LE at one point. The regular edition isn't getting clearanced anytime soon. Maybe if they release a GOTY edition with the DLC (which they haven't announced, so even that would be months away if it happened).

Mercs 2 360 still at $20 but I told myself $15 max for this one, preferably $10. Also space heaters on clearance, most at 30%, the cheapest being $9.98. The oil filled radiator type was $27. Might be worth checking back next week.
 
I saw Mercs 2 at one of my locals yesterday for 14.98. I didnt get it as I have had it before.

These are all 360. I saw very little PS3 wise aside from Rock Band Track Packs.

Thats about all I can remember. They all werent in the same store, but spread over 3 locations. Most all of them had at least 4 of these titles so the titles were pretty consistent in every store. However, only one had Nascar.
