This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I went to the Target on Pines Blvd. in South FL. around 7:30 today. Saw a lady pulling out the 'on sale' tags and walking around with the gun thing. Didn't see any good discounts though. Same ol' same ol' - Turok for $30, as well as Incredible Hulk, R6 Vegas, etc.

Thanks for the advice , i was at one target in the orlando area (wife needed some stuff) and I know what you mean.... no good clearance prices at all. So I'll be back home (Lakeland , FL) on monday and I'll be checking my two local targets out... still hoping for that RB SE Bundle for 30something (I suck at the guitar but I'm sure I can handle the drums , daugther on the guitar and the wife will do the singing ... rock out!!!).

I was looking for some clearance games this past week, and I came upon Last Remnant. I picked it up and while the game was in a plastic security box, I realized the plastic wrap on the game is gone. The Microsoft seal is still on, but it's hard to tell whether it was open beforehand. The DVD casing also had some marks on it too. And of course, the game was still on clearance for $41.

Needless to say, I did not buy it.
 
Anybody in South Florida see Spiderman Web of Shadows for 18 bucks here?

I'm looking for it and wanted it since it came out.

Sucks having only one Target in town. They're so slow to knock stuff down in price. Mine still has Silent Hill and Soulcalibur IV for 29.98. Waiting for them to discount them to $14.98 is like geting your teeth pulled.

If some one has an extra Fable LE, I will gladly purchase it.

Exact same pricing scheme at just about all Las Vegas Target stores I went to, about 5 of them. The only game I want is Last Remnant still.

Just do the disc test like I do lol tap you finger on the front of the case and the disc will make a sound you will get used to hearing... After reports of people saying they got cases with games that were sealed and the disc had been missing thats my only fail safe now if its one of those clever ones that put another disc in there and resealed well then your SOL but at least a disc was in there lol

the one good thing about my target was all the 30 dollar games were 20...other than that no clearance games.

Second, $10.75 game with tax, plus $.50 mailer, plus $2.20 to ship FC with DC plus PP fees ($.30 plus 2.9%)....do the math...$15 may cover the costs without insurance...what happens if USPS loses the game?
 
I forgot to mention that a couple targets I went to had 3 wii games on sale for $10 each. This may be over now. The only title I can specifically remember is Balls of Fury.

Yes it is, even more so since there are actually 8 Targets in a 5 mile radius from my house. I didn't hit the other two since I needed to take my dogs for a walk.

I don't know how long all eight can last if the economy keeps slipping. Target's presence might be a bit oversaturated when you could hit all eight on an afternoon bike ride. I've done six on a ride myself in four to five hours...though security tends to follow the sweaty guy with the backpack.
 
Picked up Mercenaries 2 PS3 for $9.98 at San Jose Marketplace. About ten left if anyone is looking for one.
 
picked up the last ps3 Rock Band track pack vol 2 at the Canton Target for $14.98. I would have liked $7.48 but didn't want to chance waiting and figured it was still a good deal as I needed some new songs.

There were about 3 Spider-man Web of Shadows for $29, a few GHIII for $12, and Far Cry 2. There were also some FFIV for DS for $28 or something.
 
Not the greatest catch, but if someone was looking for a cheap game for the kiddies, the Leominster, MA Target had Bolt on the 360 for $7.98 in the clearence section. They also had some Tomb Raiders for the 360 as well, $15.
 
Picked up Fracture PS3 for $9.98. It was the last copy at the Denton, TX store. My mom randonly gave me a $5 gift card yesterday, so I figured what the hell? Gotta be worth $5.

Mercenaries 2 14.98
Bourne 29.98

I also saw 2 copies on Tiger Woods 09 on PS3 for 14.98

Looks like their prices are a little behind most of the other Target stores

Picked up SCIV and Silent Hill Homecoming for 15$ each. They also had Halo Wars in the display case, but it was only the regular version, so I didn't bother trying to purchase it.
 
I've been scoping out a few items at my local Targets, waiting for them to drop today. And I'm freaking snowed in with my two kids. Argh!
 
Got Tomb Raider Underworld and The Last Remnant for $14.98 each. Hooray. Please note that my target almost never drops below 29.98 and NEVER drops below 14.98.
 
I think I am giving up on Target Clearance in my Lexington SC area, either workers or someone else is hording...1 copy of SC4 I saw never any of the newer Mercs 2 etc stuff, and they had been wiped out from the multiple copies of SC4 and Fractures for 360 they had on a few weeks back...
 
I'm gonna wait a little while due to the snow here but later today I'll check the price on the copy of Last Remnant I stashed away

hopefully it's down to $14.98 now

They're on the same Price Schedule as the Pittsburgh Stores. However, the one that is about 15 minutes up 30 East usually has the prices a week ahead of the NH store.

I saw people walking around with the price scanners in the game aisle this morning, and didn't think to have them scan anything. I checked Tomb Raider and Silent Hill in one of the scanners around the store, but both are still at $29.98. I always thought the drop was automatic in the system (by means of a magical price drop button), because in years past I would often get the game for much cheaper than the marked clearance price (although lately it seems to match). Maybe I'll check back later today and see if the price was updated.
 
My Target is so damn fucking bizarre these days. SC IV and Tomb Raider are still $29.98. But all of a sudden I am starting to see random games show up on the clearance rack that were not there last week. I just picked up...

EndWar (DS) - $7.98
Facebreaker (360) - $4.98
Lego Batman (360) - $12.98

All of them were the last copy but Lego Batman was definitely not on clearance last week. Facebreaker was like $7.98 last week and EndWar was $14.98 last week as well. I have seen 2 Gamecube games (Bratz and Army Men) pop up and random DS games here one week, gone the next. Rock Revolution (game only) is still there and I didn't even bother to check the price. All I want is Tomb Raider and SC IV for $14, is that so hard to ask Target? :D

Edit: I just played EndWar for the DS and I got to say that I'm very disappointed. Even at $8, it wasn't one of my best pick ups. Imagine, if you will, Battleship on the DS. Now, remove all the fun of Battleship and add a script written by a 12 year old tween hopped up on Cherry coke, sunshine, and positive energy, and you have EndWar for the DS...yikes. Hopefully Lego Batman will be worth it at $12....

Same problem here as well. I even asked the guy in electronics. He said he already did the markdowns for the week and it was only a few select games. Some games fly through to 75% in three weeks and Silent Hill Homecoming has been on clearance here now for 5 weeks and its still 29.98. Then on occasion some games randomly appear in the bin at 75% off.

Yea my Target had 1 copy of Silent Hill at $41 one week and then it was gone the next. That was another one I was looking forward too but whatever. I usually check another Target near me, but with my classes being right after work, I have no time to look. I'll try tomorrow but I'm going to guess it will be picked over by then. The sad part was I told my self I wouldn't pay $10 for Facebreaker when it was at $15. Then I see it today at $5 and I'm like "Damn the CAG in me..." and picked it up. I have Halo Wars coming out tomorrow and Killzone 2 at home....when will it end? :lol:
 
I stopped by the Steelyard Commons Target in Cleveland today. Not a lot on the clearance racks at all and most items were still overpriced. I saw :360: Last Remnant for $29.98 and :pS3: Far Cry 2 for that same amount. I did take my trusty-rusty UPC sheet to the store and even though they weren't in stock, saw that the price of Lego Batman :360: and Mercenaries 2 :360: both dropped to $12.48 and $7.48 respectively.
 
PS3: Ghost Recon 2 for $19.99 and Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga for $19.99. Didn't buy them because I'm not really even sure thats a good deal. They also had Street Fighter Alpha (something something) for PSP at around $9.99

Everything is still at 50% at my Targets. I was hoping the few copies of Pokemon Ranger they had had taken the drop to $9.98 or lower, but they're still sitting at $14.98. Still waiting on the $14.98 Tomb Raider drop as well.

That star wars game is $9.99 at meijer if you have one close to you.I bought it there a few weeks ago when they had the buy 2 get 1 free deal.It was marked as $19.99 but rang up $9.99

Lego Star Wars is not on clearance, that is the new MSRP for that title. I expect Lego Batman and IJ to also hit $20 soon.

I got mine (Lego SW) a few weeks ago for $10 when Fred Meyer did their great games, great prices 50% off deal.
