This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Anyone who is in New Hampshirwe or Mass, stop by the Amheart St. Target. I saw Facebreaker :360: and Unreal Tournament 3 :360: for 9.98. Everything else really wasn't a good deal.

I purchased SC IV 360 and TR:U 360 at one Target for 29.98 and did a return/rebuy at another Target where I knew the prices were $14.98 and it worked like a charm.

This was suggested a few pages back - thanks for the great idea.

Haha, I had been wondering who picked up that RB SE, noticed it was gone. I had been eyeing it, but it got stuck at the $69.XX price point forever. I ended up scoring a $34.XX set at the Falls Church Target about a week and a half ago.
 
Well, got Lego Batman for 12.48, had like 6 copies left. Thought about getting Fracture for 9.98, also had 6 or so left, but passed. Maybe I'll get it next week.
 
Palatine, IL. store on Dundee road had a ton of Remnants & Tomb Raiders, a few Silent Hills all for 15.48.

They had one Too Human for $19.99 which I had in my hand, but ultimately decided to put it back seeing how others are finding it for $9.98 at other Target stores.
 
I traveled a bunch of Targets last two days to see if I could find Silent Hill/Tomb Raider for $15... FAILED!

I guess I will just stick with $30, still a Good price!

You guys are lucky still finding them at such Low price!
 
Passed on TR:U and Silent Hill for $29.99 but did find a Virtua Fighter 5 PS3 for $4.98 (marked $19.99). Gives me something to try out with my Hori FS3 stick.

I'm glad I picked up Too Human for $9.98 last week even though there were several..Not one copy remained tonight. The Fracture 360 copy last week for $19.98 was $9.98 and I picked it up for my stepson.

Buddy of mine bought Facebreaker for $10 at BB a month or so ago. We played it for 5 minutes and wished he hadn't wasted his $10.

Next drop would be $7.48 but any game dropping to that price point (%) would be super YMMV. It's more likely that Target will take the game out of their system and send it to Goodwill.

That's where they're going to end up if people keep stashing them. I come across stashed clearance games all the time and point it out to management so they can keep an eye (and a camera) out. And NO, I don't work at Target. I'm just a friendly shopper who believes in equal opportunity shopping for everyone. :)
 
Picked up a copy of Far Cry 2 for PS3 for $14 for my friend, first good deal I've seen on a clearance game in a while at this Target.

I'm not weighing in on the hiding issue since it seems to be a sensitive topic but you should realize that some people actually have full time jobs so they can't just show up early on Mondays to try to buy games.

which is weird since I checked the price on the copy of Last Remnant I hid and it was still $30 so I don't think anything price dropped
 
That's not too surprising. People who don't visit CAG will buy stuff even when it's got a moderate discount. I know I've lost a few games that way.
 
finally found bourne for 15. now i can return it with my 30 receipt.

i have already finished the game and got 1000 achievements. i am a big fan of the movies and really liked the game. is it worth 60, no. i am very happy with my 15 purchase.

i am also waiting for a drop. unfortunately my targets have very few left. i am hoping monday tr and sc4 will drop to 15.
 
This isn't a clearance item, but I picked up American Dad seasons 1&2 for $20. This was part of a DVD isle with two-packs, and the price paid seems to be the regular price. Really good deal to me.

Yeah, some people in this thread seem to come across $7.48 games, but I have NEVER seen one drop that far at any of the three Targets I frequent. I have a bit of a test case going at one of them, as there are over a dozen BiA:HH that have been at the $14.98 price point going on three weeks now. I am half expecting them to just disappear on Monday.
 
Just picked up Tomb Raider: Underworld (360) for $14.98. As some of the other posters mentioned, the $14.98 price point is probably the lowest that it will go (so I decided to grab it). Hopefully, if the price drops even lower, I can scoop it up for $7.48 and then return the $14.98 copy.

Also, on another note, many of you have mentioned that you are finding games in your stores on clearance that weren't there previously. Well I thought about it and here's my theory:

People (like me) buy games for many reasons (to play, to flip, to trade, for gifts, etc.) and sometimes things don't pan out and the game is returned to the same Target that it was purchased from (or to another Target). Targets return policy allows for 90 days to return many items (video games included). So a game could have been purchased on clearance a couple of months ago and returned within the 90 day return period; thus the game "appearing from no where".

Perfect example, I purchased Civilization Revolution for $14.98 and two copies of Medal of Honor: Airborne for $13.98. After playing the demos of both games, I decided that I didn't want either of them anymore so I returned them to a different Target about 75 days later. So someone was able to purchase the Civ' for the $14.98 clearance price (or lower) and the copies of MOH: Airborne for $13.98 (or lower).

Just thought that I'd share this with you to help take some of the "mystery" out of these games that just "pop-up" in your Target stores.
 
Most of the time if you return clearance stuff that is really old they will put a special ticket on it and it will not return to floor since it will be out of their system already.
 
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but I noticed that target is starting to sell "AS IS" Ipods (nanos, touch, classics), 50 dollars off MSRP!!! These units have no manual no cables no cd, no box..NOTHING. They had the zune 120 gb as well for 50 off as is. The ipods were all in plastic sleeves.

Also noticed a few BR movies (bond movies) in yellow sleeves for like 5 dollars off store price, with no box.


What's that about?!?!? CLEARANCE maybe!??! :O This was at the fairlakes, va target today.
 
Ive had absolutely no luck with Target lately. Big stacks and stacks and stacks of Brothers in Arms for 29.99.
 
Thought I would stop by Target to pick up Fracture this morning and someone bought all of them, along with almost all the Lego Batman's. They had like 6 left yesterday and none today. fucking asshole!
 
I feel lucky to find TR Underworld (360) and Farcry 2 (PS3) for $14.98. I know Rock Revolution sucks but I couldn't resist at $4.98.

Tomb Raider:UW and Far Cry have already dropped in my store

MAYBE... Soul Caliber IV for PS3

Clearence is YMMV as usual but most stores on the East coast are pretty up to date.
What do u guys think?
 
My Target in Memphis to finally drop Too Human to $9.99. Still $20 here :(

Enci has a bunch of Tomb Raiders (360) for $14.98.
Unreal 3 has been at the $19.99 mark for 2 months now .

And to who-ever is hiding games at my Target , if i catch you im going to stash my fist in your face .
 
I am SOOOOO glad that i hide games at ALL my local targets (please no flaming, it's a person choice)!!! Was running an errand near one of my targets so i thought i'd stop in and check the clearance section. Almost all the good ones were gone that were priced 29.xx a week ago. So i went to my stash spot (the woman's panty section, don't tell anyone) and pulled my stack of 8 games. Took them to the price checker and sure enough Batman Legos, Tomb Raider UW, Last Remenant, and Silent Hill HC rang up 14.xx and Blitz 2 rang up 9.xx. Now the interesting thing is Spiderman Web of Shadows and Brothers in Arms still rang up 29.xx so what i'm thinking is they went to drop the price of items in the clearance section and someone must have already bought up all of the two that did not go down in price so they didn't waste their time clearancing them. Anyways great haul today and sorry but i'm not a hoarder i only hide one of each game i want so i only walked away with one copy of each. The two that didn't drop in price i placed back in the clearance section so maybe next week they'll go down! Time to hit the other two stores in my area tomorrow!
