This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

if you haven't already, check radioshack.. as it's about $40 there.
 
The only thing new this week is Final Fantasy IV dropping to $20. There's still a ton of copies of Rock Revolution for the PS3 for $20. Still hoping for my Target to drop Web of Shadows to $15.
 
Not cool! Couldn't find SoulCalibur 4 (360) and Lego Batman (360) in any Target in my area. The online inventory says out of stock in Oregon. Hope some CAG has better luck and get a spare copy for me :)
 
Checked the target where I made my score from yesterday. When I left the place Friday, there was a ton of games left. Went there today with the wife (diapers...for the kid not me),and the clearance game section looked like it was gang raped.What a difference a day makes. Just some fractures and a handful of other games were left.

Made some Target runs today. It looks like one of my favorite stores found a stash somewhere:

TR:U Xbox 360 - $15 (3-4 more copies, there were about 10 last time)
Endwar PS3 - $15 (Not interested)
FFIV DS - $20 (If I find it at 75% it will be mine)
Singstar Pop Vol.2 - $20 (If this drops to 50% I'm just going to bite as its already below asking price on the net)
Singstar Abba - $27
Bioshock PS3 - $27
Rock Crapolution - $15

Since I have not found Last Reminent at all anywhere, I just went ahead and bought another TR:U to flip on Goozex to get it. There is a pretty big demand for this game and I ship stuff all the time.

Don't worry I left the other copies for you lurkers.
 
Finally found a good deal.

Got tiger woods 09 PS3 for $14.98 :)

It was still in the case marked $59.99 and there was probly a good 1/2 dozen or more.
 
I took a trip to Target to grab some stuff for my sister and a copy of The Last Remnant, but there were absolutely no copies to be found. I thought about buying Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for $10, but I decided to opt for the last copy of Tomb Raider: Underworld. Of course, that caused me to stop by GS on the way home to grab Tomb Raider: Legend and spend more money than I wanted to because of the B2G1. :p

I was able to pick up a copy each of Tomb Raider: Underworld and Soul Calibur IV for $14.98 each at the Strongsville Target. Nothing else worthwhile was there.

Picked up BiaHH, TLR, Gh:a, and Tomb raider underworld in Richmond Va. Going out tomorrow to try and find SC4. Targets here seem to do markdowns on different days but their clearence deals are awesome, I stopped going to game stop they are too high. Besides buy at target return to wally world make money!

Already been through most of the stores in Richmond, I think they were all sold out of SC4 either before or after the prices went to 75%.. that's the one thing I couldn't get.. I might try to get the PS3 version if it drops low enough. BTW I hope you're joking about walmart..

Got lucky upon hitting one of my old Target haunts, haven't been there in ages. Good timing though, they must have just marked down their games to 75% that day. :D

sometimes ill scan something and it will scan for cheaper than the tagged price. when that happends i usually will take the sticker off to avoid conflict.

uh.. that's a bad idea, and illegal. you should always keep the sticker on, they're always gonna give it to you for the price it scans for anyway, unless the employee is a complete idiot and wants to get fired.
 
Last night, went to my local Target and they had Tomb Raider marked down to $15. There were still 5 copies left @ South Bay, MA.

I'll have to watch this thread in the future for such price drops. Great price.
 
The Target on Miramar Pkwy(South FL) was a bust. Rock Revolution for $13.xx, they had Abba Singstar for a price that I forgot and Soul Calibur 4 was $34.xx. All of these are PS3 - I didn't look at the others, although they had Brothers in Arms: Hell's highway for 360 for $14.xx.

TR:U was behind the glass casing and rang up for $49.99. Ugh!
 
My local Target moved the game clearance to an endcap by the children's DVDs (???), and they had a load of games that scanned below the marked price. Grabbed...

:360:Fracture $9.98
:360:Mercenaries 2 $7.48

Saw but passed...

:360:UT 3 $9.98
:ds:Viva Pinata Pocket Paradise $9.98
:ps3:Haze $7.48

All of which were marked a clearance cycle or two higher. Weird.

Or you could trade it in with five other games and get +50% with edge and not have to deal with returning RE5 if you don't want it. I might do that if I actually take the time to play my copy of Tomb Raider before the promotion is over.

i'm not sure if that promo is still going on but if he bought 2 and traded them in he would still have to pay $19.99 meaning he already put $50 into RE5. No deal there.

Yesterday I picked up a copy of BIA:HH, I figured I could return it if it drops in a couple of weeks.
 
anyone have any idea of what some of the next markdowns will be. or has anyone seen any new markdowns yet? even if they aren't severely marked down yet i.e. 41.xx

Depending on your state taxes...probably not worth it. It would be about 16.25 and unless the GS is right next door, you'll spend the rest on gas IMO. I guess maybe if they give you more if trading toward a specific game you want.

May be worth it to someone if they have 5 games to go with it for the 50% bump.
 
just got back from my nearest target.....still had silent hill homecoming clearanced at $30 as well as tomb raider anniversary.

funny thing, right around the corner in the greatest hits/platinum hits/ cheap games section they had tomb riader anniversary marked $18 non-clearance.

DS End of War $7.48 (1 copy)

there was a bunch of xbox 360 sports games, too.
 
yeah most of the clearance is gone at my stores (except for what i've hide in a super secret part of a few of my local targets) so i'm hoping for some new markdown's as well. I'd say Star Wars FU will be next but seeing how i've seen that drop down to 20 bones used i'd have to be 14.xx or cheaper before i bite and i bought it when it first came out and wasn't worth 60 so i sold it right away to make most of my cash back but wouldn't mind having a copy in my library for cheap! Only other thing that might drop i'd say would be that snowboarding game but i'm not into those types of games so hopefully something else. Any other good predictions?

Doubtful. Target paid big bucks to sponsor Shaun White Snowboarding, so it'll probably rot on Target's shelves for a really long time.

Already done that. ;) The 50% w/Edge really makes the difference. I never trade-in to GS unless there is a deal like that going on.

Aside from what is already on clearance. I do want Singstar Pop Vol.2, SC4 PS3, Singstar Abba PS3, and Bioshock PS3. Hopefully we start to see some 50% off this week
 
glad that Lego Batman finally hit the sweet spot at $12 and change and Target still had a copy. Now if only Tomb Raider would finally get a drop from its $29.98 price

with the 50 percent extra trade in bonus he would get $25.50 for the game at gamestop so it would be about a 10 dollar profit... ive done it twice already
