This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Well after five full weeks at 50% off, my Target sold out of Soul Calibur, Silent Hill, and Tomb Raider all for 360. Like usual the bin only has PS3 and last gen titles in it. I have yet to score a 360 game at 75% locally.

That was the PS3 version, though. The 360 version got clearanced at the end of January and as far as I can tell, not that many people are interested. My stores normally get wiped out, but I saw a copy of SH still sitting on the shelf for $14.98 on Sunday.

Actually I saw 360 versions in my area get clearanced the same time PS3 did so...

Do targets ever move stock around between the stores? I have checked 3-4 around me multiple times over the last month and it always seems to be the same games in the clearance aisle (mass effect, orange box, dead rising). I haven't even seen SCIV, Last remnant, or Fable II LE at non clearance prices.

I picked up copies of SCIV, UT3, and Last Remnant 360. There was at least one left of UT and LR, but SCIV 360 was the last copy. They had at least 2 PS3 ones though.
 
I stopped by the north Irving (635/mcarthur) target today and saw a Last Remnant for $15 if anyone in the area is looking for one. The clearance endcap is kind of hidden in the front corner opposite the service desk from the counters.

They didn't have much else to speak of, though.
 
Rock Band PS3 was marked down to $69.98 today (down $30 since Sunday). There are three left at the Mt. Prospect, IL store.

Target in Iowa City, IA and Davenport, IA had nothing really of interest. Iowa City was bare probably due to the university, and Davenport had Bourne for 360 for $14.98. I was so hoping for SC IV and Lost Remnant for 360 on the cheapness....but you snooze you lose

My Target finally marked down Silent Hill to $14.98 so I picked that up. they also had a bunch of The Bourne Conspiracy for $14.98 as well. Wish I could of found Soul Calibur IV but the only one they had was for the PS3 and it was ringing up at $34.98

Aside from what's noted above, the store still has a couple of :360: Bourne Conspiracy, several :360: Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, both titles at $15, two or three Unreal Tournament III :360: at $10, just one Guitar Hero Aerosmith :360: and just one Blitz II :360: for $10, and two copies of Sing It w/mic :360: for $10. Sing It looks like a good deal, but I'm 33 and Hannah Montana's top hits just don't do anything for me, go figure... :D

Was someone looking for :360: Rock Revolution? $5 is a good deal, even for a dozen Ramones songs! I can do $10 shipped via PayPal, or $5.25 if someone local to Boston wants to come to Cambridge and grab my extra copy. PM me if you want it.

Bad news: local Targets pretty much cleared out of clearance games since last week, except for a few GH SE PS3 bundles.

Good news: those "Ghost Rider" UMDs disappeared with the rest of the stuff. Thank you, Lord.
 
I saw Rock Band Special Edition PS3 at one of my Targets in Houston yesterday reduced to $69.98. They had like 4 or 5 still. Don't know how many more are out there/how long they'll last.
 
Oh yeah. "Step Brothers" and "Walk Hard" were down to 4.98. Nabbed the last "Walk Hard" at this store, but I've seen a few others in this area.
 
Score! Got fairly lucky on finding what I did today, just because my local haunt is getting wiped clean. Now if I can just find a copy of Ace Combat or FF 4 DS, I'd be all set. :D

Just picked up Soul Calibur IV (PS3) for $24.98 at the Winchester, VA Target. May have been marked down again since Monday. Last time I was there (last week) it was still marked $34.98.

You guys are killing me that all got in on Soul Calibur IV for $14.98. OMG that is soooo wrong, lol. *pity party begins*

(My Target managed to offload all of their copies when it was at $34.98 about a month ago....)
