This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Have not seen GTA5:p in any clearance piles yet. I'll bet many are getting bought at 30%. Just like Singstar Pop Vol.2.
 
Found The Last Remnant at the South County Target in St. Louis, MO, for $14.98.

Rare surprise that it was A) a clearance game in-stock AND B) a clearance game that I actually wanted.

Hrm, there's a few games on that list I'd love to pick up cheap...methinks the likleyhood of me finding Soul Calibur 4 or Ace Combat 6 at that price at my local shop is scant.

The three Target stores near to me are usually a severe disappointment to me for clearance games, though I'm not going there with the usual Monday visiting that some others I'm sure do.
 
Picked up Sing Star Abba (PS3) for $20 and Guitar Hero Aerosmith (360) for $10 yesterday. Was hoping for a lower price on Abba, but didn't think there'd be another copy left by the time the next drop came. They had tons of copies of Brothers in Arms, though. Seems to be fairly common judging by this thread.

Probably, I didn't look at the price he listed at first, just that it was released "2 weeks ago" which would fit SUGC better than Sonic Unleashed.Then again Sonic and the Black Knight was released two weeks ago on Wii...
 
I picked up The Last Remnant at Meriden, CT.

It was the *LAST* copy and was labeled at $29.98. But once I asked them to check the price it rang up at $14.98.

Despite a PC version due out very soon I took the plunge since I heard it was a lot better with the HD Install. I'll probably give it a whirl this weekend.
 
The HDD install definitely helps, but you will still experience slowdowns and texture issues. Hasn't ruined the game for me, though. I still think it's a solid title.

I've been waiting to make that joke all week. I can't believe stores are starting to clearance out X-Blades. Isn't that only 2-3 months old? If it's at $41.98, I'll wait 3 weeks before I start making the rounds, judging from the reviews it's a $15 game.
 
The Last Remnant is going to hit PS3 eventually, so I'm holding out (I hate my xbox360, everytime i play it i swear its about to RRoD on me based on the weird ass noises it makes and constant freezing :( ) Hopefully in the PS3 version they fix all the texture issues :(
 
Well, GameSpot had a small preview of the PC version, and they said they did not experience any slowdowns. So, hopefully they worked out the kinks, and any improvements will also be seen on the PS3.
 
Hopefully I can snag Abba :ps3: Monday for $9.98, and call it a month with Tar-jay. Haven't seen much lately I'm too interested in, and anything being clearanced now will basically take a month to drop to the sweet spot anyways.
 
Does anyone know if that $15 End War (and I'm guessing not, but worth a shot) includes the headset bundle, or even how much that's ringing up for? I saw a couple behind the glass but didn't think anything of it.

nope, I tried and it was scanning for around $80-90.. this store had the game without the headset for $15 so i figured it'd be worth a shot scanning the headset bundle.

Do you need Xbox Live to do the HDD install? I like the game but the animation issues are distracting without the install.

Also, I found Brothers in Arms for $14.98 last night.
 
Any One from SoCal? the valley i know theres a few targets around any finds? the target in Granada hills had tons of soul caliber 4 for the ps3, but thats pretty much it.

There are quite a few Valley CAGs on the boards. I actually live in Granada Hills. It's all slim pickings right now, though I did manage to find Tomb Raider Underworld for $15 at that Target two weeks ago.

You need NXE to do HDD installs, no Gold Membership required. Although knowing Microsoft it might be an upcoming "feature" for Gold Members :roll:

Have them for $30 at Target in my area. If it drops again, I'll grab it just for the extra headset (already have the game). Would provide a location but there are only a couple left.
 
Fracture for $9.98 and Tomb Raider Underworld for $14.98. There was one of each left. Otherwise, just a bunch of GH Aerosmith and PS2 and DS crap.

Oh, has anyone seen Web of Shadows for less than $14.98? The Target has this one copy sitting for weeks. Thinking of grabbing it if it drops another fin.

I've rarely seen games at my Targets go below $14.98 if their MSRP was $59.99. If it was $39.99 I sometimes see $9.98 but I think I can only recall one time I saw a game go for less than 75% off.

Went to Target this morning to see if they had anything good but it was a bust. Only a lone copy of Guitar Hero Aerosmith. Was surprised to find 30+ people waiting outside before the store opened. Once they went through the doors they all flocked to the checkout endcap where Twilight was displayed. C'mon, seriously? Do they even know the Wal-Mart down the street opened an hour earlier and had it for cheaper?
 
I think 75% is the most games go on clearance for now. Either that or people buy the games at that price and thats why I never see 90% off anymore. I just grab the games at 50-75% off now and dont chance it.

From the PM's I received, most CAG's would be all over that Spiderman @ 75% off (360). I'm surprised it is still there.

The copy I got was $12.48 because they used $50 as the starting price. You're likely not going to see video games drop past 75% off at Target, though.
 
Most things drop out of the system after 75% now. I haven't seen one hit 90% since Bourne for PS3 like 6 months ago.

It's been out about 4 months. It wasn't a major flop sales imho, but Square-Enix and/or Amazon must have thought it was considering it was on sale for $30 around Black Friday and then dropped to a universal $39.99 MRSP pretty much everywhere by January.

Lost Odyssey .91 Million
Blue Dragon .62 million

Infinite Undiscovery .47 Million

Tales of V .29 million

Looks to be on track to outsell Blue Dragon but will most likely never reach Lost Odyssey.

Anyways, for $15 I figured what the hell.

Unless your Target is selling it as an "as is", that's not the headset bundle. Target just started carrying the headset PS3 bundle with Endwar and that's why the game-only version is being clearanced.
 
I saw Brothers In Arms: HH yesterday for $14.98 but I couldn't pull the trigger. With such a big backlog and no money now, I figured I'd pass for now. I did move 1 copy to behind the paintball games, lol. Hope people don't actually buy those and it'll drop a bit more.
