This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Definitely worth $15. I paid $40 for Last Remnant when Amazon had it up for pre-order and don't regret it in the least bit. It's my second favorite JRPG this generation, behind Lost Odyssey.

Last 2 games I saw go past 75% were Jericho for the 360 for $6.54 ($12.48 was the 75% price) 2 months ago and DMC 4 for the 360 for $7.54 (75% was $14.98), about 6 weeks ago. It is strange how some games go past 75% and others don't especially because they have done that for 6+ years where only a few make it past 75%.

Does it vary by location? I have multiple Targets near me. I guess that's how I could spend my Sunday afternoon.
 
Yup They All very by location and if they do have the game there not all the price you see here. Sometimes there Cheaper, Sometimes there more, but there always around that price. my target only has soul caliber so yeah :)

I think games get marked down Mondays, so you may want to wait a day :bouncy:

I noticed the store closest to me had the Phillips 3 port HDMI switch on clearance for $39.99. If you're like me and your HDTV only has one HDMI port it might be worth grabbing if it lasts long enough to drop.

Stopped by Target today, and Soulcalibur IV, Bourne, and Silent Hill Homecoming that were 29.98 finally dropped to 14.98 (it took over a month.) There were stacks of them before the price drop, but there was only 1 Soulcalibur IV left, and 2 each of Bourne and Silent Hill. I grabbed one copy of all three. There were a few random PS3 games on clearance, but I didn't look at them.

Cape Girardeau didn't have any 360 games on clearance. Soul Calibur on PS3 for $24.xx and most of the other stuff was kinda junky. Hope they get good stuff on the next round! Or maybe if someone hid stuff... they'll find it.

They are usually 10-15% off the mark (over or short) on average and include Canada and Mexico sales. I'd like to see you make up numbers that are that close :p

Local one was mostly cleaned out. The only good deal was Bioshock for the PS3 for $20.98. They only had 4 copies though, and I checked on Saturday.

Ah, I just stopped by there this weekend. Not much left. I did grab a copy of Tomb Raider. I was really hoping for Fable 2 LE. But alas, it is not meant to be.
 
I picked up BIA: Hell's Highway (360) for $14.98 this past weekend in Fitchburg, WI. The also had Bioshock (PS3) for $20.98...but I have the 360 version, so I wasn't interested.
 
I dropped by the Maplecrest target here in Fort Wayne and didn't see to much. Clearance stuff doesn't usually last too long here and there are usually too many copies. One new clearance game I saw was X-blades.

haha, that was fast....been out for about 2 weeks now, I think? that game looked and sounded absolutely pathetic. I remember when the devs were trying to virally market it at neogaf.
 
The Target clearance sections in my neck of the woods (Sac, CA) are bone dry these days. Not much left from the recent round of clearances. Picked up an EndWar DS for $7.48 (hope it's at least worth that.) But that was really the only thing worth noting in 3 Targets I hit up this weekend.
 
checked out a couple targets in Austin, TX. Nothing new, only saw a copy of bourne and tr:u for 15. saw one rock band special edition for ps3 but was still marked at 99.
 
I was all excited because I got to my Target and they had like 5 employees out doing the clearance stuff today, figured there'd be lots of good drops. Nope, didn't see much at all. I may try to swing back by later or tomorrow just in case they waited til after the crazy guy who's always in on Monday morning stalking clearance to put the good deals out. ;)

Got a DCPI for X-Blades... (may have to get that if it holds to $14.98)

Anyway, little to no drops at the White Plains, NY Target. The Ghost Rider and Step Brothers UMD's finally dropped to $4.98 though.

Thanks! If anyone else can help with the new drops-- Target.com is being a jerk and using fake DPCIs for some of these games (which I haven't seen in a long time) and plus I don't know when I'll be able to head out to a Target.

A Spongebob PS2 game for ??

Can confirm seeing the Afro Samurai and Nauruto games clearanced as well.

Damn...I stopped by a few Targets I don't usually go to or have never been to over the weekend, hoping to score an Optimus Prime 25th Anniversary, of course no luck. Anyone seen any of these or the GI Joe clearance items at any Targets in SoCal?
