This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

hoping to get mirror's edge when it drops below 20. I've been wanting to play that game for a long time but held off simply because I heard it was so short (under 6 hrs).

To avoid future confusion, $10 GH3 isn't a clearance price.

It is a weekly sales price that ends on Saturday, 4/4.

Well, I'll put it this way, $41.98 would represent a 30% discount from the $59.99 price (let's ignore the EA cut to $49.99, as I'm sure Target started the clearance from the higher price point), but $14.98 would be the 75% point. So unless the game literally jumped from full price to 75% right off the bat...you know? I'm not trying to doubt you, but it seems like an honest mistake, especially after seeing Glock bust out the $41.98 price.
 
I got Blitz II : The League (PS3) yesterday for $9.98 from the Target in Willoughby, Ohio. It's actually a pretty good game for $10. They also had the Abba game for $9.98.. as well as the PS3 Memory Card Adapter (so you can plug in PS1/PS2 memory cards to the PS3) for $3.74 (I picked up one of these too).

Rock Revolution for $5, but instead I decided to commit suicide, since I thought it would be less painful for me.

So I am writing this post from heaven; the internet connection is awesome here. And the PS7 has already been released. And the XBOX 360 red ring problem has not been solved yet. :)
 
This thread seems F'ed. I'll make a new in a day or so if the problem doesn't fix itself.

You are able to change your settings for how many threads you want to view on one page. I have mine set to the max so it's only on page -4 or something -- you should see the deals there!

On topic, sort of -- did anyone confirm FIFA for $14.98? I would jump on that in a second.

A few months ago, I saw the Ps3 Tiger Woods 2009 drop directly to 14.98, so it's not out of the question.

Interesting...and rare. I've never seen it happen at the Targets here.

BTW, I'm jealous of your Radiant Silvergun...I wish I'd have never sold mine YEARS ago. I used to work at EB in the late 90's and bought all of the imports we had. Brings a tear to my eye. Still have Vampire Savior with the cart though!

Do you live near a Blockbuster / GameRush that takes trades? They give $19 store credit for it.

MAYBE under the old TIV's. They recently overhauled and nerfed all (most) of the TIV's. But if that's still true, the Blockbuster thread could become slightly more relevant.
 
I stopped by my other Target today to find 30+ copies of Mirror's Edge at $27.xx. lol, hopefully that means there will be a few left when it drops. And my stashed copy of Brothers in Arms still scanned at $14.98. It's no longer hidden very well now that people actually bought a couple of the paintball games (really?), but I don't really mind.

And I'd love confirmation on that Rock Revolution TIV at BBV. I think one of my local Targets still has a few of these.

Thank you for the info! I went back and bought it. Then traded it in at Blockbuster in the same parking lot for $19 credit.

I think if it doesn't sell at 75% off they just donate it. And if you don't pick it up it will just go OOS anyway.

Dang I wish I could find Rock Band for $35. Went to a couple Targets in the LA area and the only decent finds were

PS3 Soul Calibur 4 $25 (1 or 2 copies)

360 Mirror's Edge $28 (10+ copies)
 
Are Target clearance items only for specific stores? I found Soul Calibur IV for PS3 but it rang up as $34 and Rock Band Special Edition for PS3 rang up at $69 =P
 
I don't know if this is worthwhile to anyone, but I saw a bunch of Disney Duel Screen Mobile DVD Players marked down 50% at $89.98. Down from their original $190. Not a bad deal in a week or 2 to pick up at $45(75% off), regardless of the Disney Cars characters on the screens. Oh yeah, 057150250.

How is Guitar Hero III out of the system when there is currently a sale involving it?

Mine has something similar a Twinex dual screen 7", I think. It could have been 8". It was orignall something around $220. 75% off would be a good price. I already have a 9" dual magnavox, but could use a second system.

Maybe OOS means out of stock?

I got my copy of Guitar Hero 3 today. They had plenty of copies sitting in the cases. Nothing interesting for clearance though.
 
Eh, both Targets I went to had nothing worth mentioning in clearance. I don't even remember what I saw there, thats how bad it was.

Did pick up GH3 for its sale price (which should be its universal price by now)

Correct price 41.98.
Spirderman Web of Shadows sold out.
