This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Man, another week and no new drops for me.

I've been waiting close to a month for :ps3: Singstar ABBA to drop below $19.98 and :ps3: Soul Calibur to drop below $24.98.
 
Saw Singstar ABBA (PS3) for $9.98, Bolt (PS3) 7.98, UTIII (PC) $9.98, Saints Row 2 (PC) $9.98, and that's about it. I passed on all of them because I was looking for Naruto on the PS3 but it was long gone. I'll try another Target tomorrow.
 
Stopped by while going to work as I needed to pick up some essentials.

Still saw SingStar ABBA (PS3) at $19.98 and Rock Revolution (PS3) at $9.98. I don't think its any surprise why multiple copies are still there. No SCIV or BioShock though. I'm still glad I got BioShock at $20.98 the first day they tagged them.

New to their shelf is FarCry 2 (360) for $41.98.

I noticed it wasn't in the master list, but I saw Popstar Guitar on the PS2 for $4.98 (75%). For $5, I'm actually pretty tempted to try it out... At the very least, it'll make Rock Revolution seem better when I get that.

Same here, and tons of them (Farcry2). Which is odd, because they didn't even have it new to my recollection.

Exton, PA

X-Blades (360) and Naruto dropped to 29.xx and Afro-Samurai (PS3) remained at $41.xx.

Nicktoons (PS2) was $9.xx.

Tons of 'B' List PC games as well were marked down to 50% (Nancy Drew games and the like).

Guild Wars:GotY edition was $14.xx

Massive quantities of drops at the Wilsonville, OR store today. I picked up Singstar ABBA ($9.98, none left), Blitz II: The League ($9.98, 3 left), and Soul Calibur IV ($12.48, none left).

There were new drops on older generation stuff, like PS2 games and PSP games. I saw titles like Resident Evil 4 :ps2:, Kingdom Hearts II :ps2:, Family Guy :ps2: at around 33% off, as well as PSP games like Mega Man Maverick Hunter X.

With Sing It!, I got 8.75 base and 4.XX for the mic. I think if you can convince game crazy that its a rock band mic (which it certainly can be), they give like 10 for it.

I *think* I seem to recall the Schaumburg? one on barrington and Schaumburg rd having them. I've been to about 10 diff targets in the area in the past week or so looking for SCIV/Last remnant so they kind of blur.
 
Wow, no Mirror's Edge? I know supply is different everywhere but one of my local stores had 30+ copies as of last Mon. I'd be really surpised if there is less than 25 still. I saw the same. The usual stuff already mentioned was in the clearance endcap, but the "greatest hits" aisle had a bunch of clearance stuff. Some GBA and DS stuff, too.

Most was 33%, but I did get Jak 3 for $3.74 (DCPI 207 12 0906). Also got PopStar Guitar for $4.98 (207 12 1901)
 
If anyone is interested the Brandywine, DE Target has a copy of KOF:Circle of Doom (360) that has appeared from nowhere. Rings up out of system but the last price should have been $9.98
 
The Target I stop at on the way home from school finally started to clearance Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, though it's $41.98. I'll probably bite once it hits below $30.

And I finally spotted those Blu-Ray remote bundles. They were all covered in dust they'd been there so long. Hopefully I can snag those fuckers for around $10 :cool:

Yep, same here. Lots of garbage, but notably I saw :ps2:Kingdom Hearts II, :ps2:Bully, and :ps2:Ratchet and Clank: Deadlocked.

At about three locations, when it was $27.88 or around that. I believe there were not that many in-stock at these places before they red tagged them so that can explain why. The only time I saw $20 is when I bought that only copy after the pricing guy told me he just tagged the goods.

I did try another Target that is not on my favorites list. Still 50% on ABBA and 30% on the newer stuff like Sonic and Afro. Also saw the new 30% off on a lot of the PS2 and PSP value games as mentioned here. But this store sure has a truckload of red tagged clearance and they always takes their sweet time to get to 75% if it ever gets there. Only changes I really saw are 75% off the loads A/V cables and on those Hannah Montana MP3 players (finally).

I paid $9.98 for it 3 weeks ago. IGN bashed it because of the songlist. The gameplay is ok, if you like the type of music in the game, it isn't a bad game at all for PS2 since it works with GH guitars. The only bad thing is 15 or so of the 30 songs are covers, 20 more are songs that are not really known (50 songs in the game total).
 
Can anyone who bought the Rockband bundle for PS3 PLEASE post or PM me a copy of the receipt ?
The one I found today was open and had no microphone in it .

I called the EA number to get a replacement, and I'm good to go when I fax a copy of the reciept .
Problem is I lost it . It was really windy today and I obviiously didn't get a bag with with my purchase .

Again , I know it would be a pain , but if you could please do this I'd really appreciate it .

At 10 bucks Rock revolution is a 1:2 Target ->BBV--> GS (via GTA4) flip, + $5 at BBV.

EDIT: This all assumes you have a time machine and 5 other games to trade in :)

Did you use a credit card? Maybe Target can reprint a receipt for you?
 
I just swung by my nearby Target but didn't find anything that made me want to BIN.

Farcry 2 was still at $27 (even when price scanned). I got excited when I saw Saint's Row 2 sticking out from under the bottom of the pile but found that it was the PC version. Sam & Max Ep 1x01-1x03 was there for $4.98, but I figure that it'd be better for the complete season to go on sale again on Steam.

Pretty blah. Maybe next week will be better.

You might run into a problem with EA when they see the receipt only says "NCF PS3" instead of "Rock Band".

Richlough, they can still print you a receipt. Go back to the exact store where you purchased it. Go to Guest Service and explain your situation. You'll have to know the exact date and approximate time of purchase (register would help also), but they can reprint you a receipt. If need be, ask for a manager. It can be done and it's not a hassle if you know the date and time.
