This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

OK, n00b. I'll try to give you a straight answer if you're still interested. But you're still going to take crap.

Target is a nation-wide retailer. When a game hits clearance, you can expect that the game will be on clearance nation-wide, at least within the next week or two. The prices and availability will vary, making it a large easter egg hunt. Which is why CAG's report their findings. Helps other local CAG's with the hunt.
 
lol, well I guess I'll be nice since my name is Anthony as well.

The point is that, although all Targets don't clearance games the same %, they do all clearance the same games. So I see that a game I want is marked down, and maybe at 50% off. Then I go to my Target and see it's actually 75% off! So I buy said game, and then report it here so other people can go look for the same (or maybe even better ... but probably alot worse) deal.

guys I haven't tried going to target to buy video games so I got a question. Are the clearance game on a different rack? are they separated or what?

Bought ABBA for $15 on Amazon in like November but I haven't managed to play it yet for this exact reason. I need some cheap-o mics! CAG, halp me! I was under the impression that I could use my USB Rockband2 mics since the PS3 can recognize them no problem, not my luck unfortunately. =(

I got to several Targets and they all do things just a liitle bit differently. Enough that there's no one definite answer.

Gernerally the clearance stuff is separated to an "endcap" facing a wall (rather than a main aisle), but sometimes there can be clearance games still in the case or in the budget aisle. Also, the clearance section can migrate several rows away from electronics. I've found stuff in the automotive section at one store.

And then there's always the games some people hide in the women's panties. But that's a whole nother story.
 
Checked the local Target in Clovis CA, which had 5 copies of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm for $29.98. Needless to say, they now have four. I also found someone's secret stash looking around and put the games back on the clearance rack.

There was a few other new games clearanced, like Guild Wars Factions for $27.98 & a couple copies of Rock Revolution for $9.98 (Not worth flipping to GR IMHO after Cali state tax), along with a shit ton of Spiderman: Web Of Shadows for the PSP (20 copies at least!)

Used mics at GS are only $10, other than that try Sears clearance for ps2 SingStar bundles.

I don't 100% agree with that. Not every Target is going to clearance every game that hits clearance somewhere else. Are you forgetting the phantom :ds:Chrono Trigger clearance a few weeks back at a handful of Targets?
 
Saw a big PS2 clearance also last night.. Bully, Kingdom Hearts 2, Mortal Kombat Deception and a bunch of other random games for $13.xx, had about 30 ps2 games

This thread is great because about 90% of the titles that are listed here from someone elses post are usually at one of our 3 Targets in our city. So when someone else posts Afro Samurai is $41.xx now, I know to be watching for that and when I goto one of our Targets it's usually there too, even though I'm in Florida and whoever posted it is in whatever state.

Finally picked yp the Rock Band 1 Kit after watching it for three fuckin weeks!! also picked up singstar ABBA for 9.xx (don't think I'll ever play it though, maybe i'll return it)


On a side note some Bastard sliced (7) 360 games, three of which I would have bought and there was no more....BASTARD!!!!

Lucky you ... I have been waiting a month for both Rock Band and ABBA to drop. No luck.

No, and short term, I probably have little use for it, but it is currently cheaper than other USB hubs. If I ever have to get a new PS3 that does not have 4 ports, then it would be useful.

It is fully functional as a PC USB2.0 hub too.

I was going to pick this up for that reason, but when I read the back and it said it has its own AC adapter, I put it back.

Picked up an Elements 750 GB external HDD for 99.98. A friend of mine found this for 74.98 in Illinois. This is a pretty sweet deal, and my target (Mishawaka, IN) had a ton of them. Didn't see this in the OP, so I thought I would add it.

It should also be noted that there is no package for the second half of the season. If you want to play the rest, you'll have to purchase them digitally or buy the full Season 1 retail box.
 
Scored Rock Band PS3 last week for $34.98 then today managed to snag Last Human 360 for $5.04 at the Target in Kissimmee FL on 192. There was one copy left when I was there....

Saw a bunch of new clearance items today. A lot of those bargain games originally $9.99 to $14.99 were put on the clearance schedule. The highlights today were:

Buzz Master Quiz (PSP) - $13.98
Bomberman Land (PSP) - $6.98

It's not a Super Target. It's the small one near downtown Kissimmee. I believe its about a half mile or so West of Thacker.

Saw a few PSP games on clearance. Lets see, there was Bomberman, Megaman X, and the Capcom Classics collection, each at 30% off. Already got Megaman when it was on sale for $10, but I'll most likely grab Bomberman and Capcom Classics if I can find them at $2.48 and $3.74 respectivly when they hit 75% off.

nothing at all at the target in kokomo indiana. They had mlb office manager (360) for 9 bucks and one copy of rock revolution.
