This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

My Target completely moved their electronics section of the store so it took me awhile to find the clearance end cap, which to my delight is in a well hidden corner.

They had nothing of interest to me though, just a noteworthy:
PoP (360) - $14.98 literally 30+ copies
 
Took the bait on the last copy of Peggle: Dual Shot for 13.98 and Fear 2 for 24.98. Starting to see Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for 41.98 at stores in the surrounding area of Milwaukee, WI. You people and your ten dollar Far Cry 2s mock me. A local Target restocked it for 30.

I picked up R&C and GT5 Prologue as well for the reported prices and had to do a double take. It appears that stores are getting these restocked as GH titles but they are being priced at their last clearance prices (from a LONG time ago). It's worth noting there is nothing GH about these titles - there is merely a red sticker in the front of the shrinkwrap and that peels off very easily, so at the end of the day you have black label copies for very cheap.
 
Also confirming the $14.98 Ratchet & Clank Future and $9.98 GT5: Prologue. It's funny because that's their clearance prices!! They're up on the TL if anyone wants to trade.
 
Snagged a few copies of Smackdown vs Raw for 14.98 (finally went down from 29.98) and a few copies of Banjo and Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts for 9.98, and one copy of PoP for 14.98. If anyone is interested in these titles just PM me, always willing to help out a fellow CAG

MY Targets did this a while ago. I believe they are putting them their to help sell them to PS3 (Blu-ray) Owners or to try and entice people to get a PS3 since it can play games (for the kids) and play movies (for the adults). They also have a few solid titles for $14.99 if my memory serves me correctly.
 
Picked up the last RB2 for $30. I wanted to wait till the next price drop but seeing as it's the only one available in the 4 Targets I'm around, I didn't want to chance it. Considering that I got RB SE for $35 I can't really complain about getting RB1 and RB2 and instruments for under $70. Also picked up a PoP for $15 (they had about 8 on the shelf if anyone wants one for trade or cost + shipping) and the last Afro Samurai.

The Target I normally frequent still has 1 copy of PoP and 4 copies of Afro but have been sitting at the $30 price for 3 weeks now.... Going to check it again next week to get an Afro for a fellow CAG at $15.

No one seemed interested in the extra FarCry 2 I picked up for $9.99 so I returned it. Sucks for the people who are getting restocks at $30.

It was clearanced, restocked as GH with red sticker and still in system as old price, then mistake was fixed shortly thereafter and it was back up to $30 as a budget game.

It's been hanging around the clearance rack unmarked (but scanned at full $59.99 retail) for about 2-3 weeks but finally stickered at $41.98 this week.

Finally my Elizabethtown, KY Target marked WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2009 (360) to $12.48, they have about 30 copies left from yesterday so I was glad.

Also I too can confirm Far Cry 2 (360) was put on there cheap games rack rather then clearance for $29.99.....Bizzare

Also no mark down on Rock Band 2 (PS3) still showing on their red scanners in the aisle as $29.98, they only had one copy so I hid it inside the store somewhere hoping it would drop. Will their computers automatically drop the price like Best Buy does, or do they have to personally mark it down, or is there any way to get them to mark it down as low as it is at another Target store?

Lastly I saw Ninja Blade (360) for $34.98 and Guitar Hero III (360) marked down to $7.48, nothing else notable

they won't price match other stores, and the prices are manually adjusted to an extent. They don't have to scan every copy, but they have to clear the price drop on each item, so you may have to wait a few hours into the shopping day to see drops
 
I can also confirm that Far Cry 2 is no longer a clearance item. I bought mine for $14.99 a month or so back and now it is on the $30 rack ringing up at that price.

Also, looking for a place to get Prince of Persia for $15 in Arizona. Either that or a CAG that can hook me up somewhere in the states.
 
Kinda bummed my local Target only goes down to 30% off. They just stick it on an end shelf. I've even rang up different games numerous times just to see if it dropped more than 30% and it never makes it, so I envy all who get great deals!
 
Saw a boompod at one of my local targets today at 50% off ($10). I got 2 of the boomchair sharks a while back at 75% off, so I am not really jazzed by it (although, at $5 it would be a steal)... Check your targets to see if they have any left.

Yeah, it's been posted. That game is the only way I can tell that the Targets in my area did their weekly clearance drops since nothing, and I mean nothing else, dropped. Only 1 Target had put 50 Cent:BotS on clearance last week. Still waiting for NFS:UC, Afro Samurai and SI:BOS to drop.
 
only thing I saw worth noting was a copy of Scene It for $20

stupid Rock Band 2 is still $30 :whistle2:/

$9.99 behind the glass case with a pre-printed price card at one of my Targets. $29.99 at the others.
 
I nabbed the last copy of Afro Samurai (360) for $15 at the Shorewood, IL Target, as well as a copy of WWE SvR 09 (360) for $12.50...They still had 10+ copies of WWE and quite a few copies of GH3 for $7.50

...I also couldn't pass on GT5: Prologue for $10 and would recommend anyone who owns a PS3 and doesn't own R&C...go pick up that game right now! $15 is an absolute steal for R&C.

Did they have a lot left in shorewood? of R&C ?
 
God my Target sucks. Mk v DC still at $41. PoP $29. LotR: C $27. And BK-N&B $19. Couldn't find a copy of WWE anywhere. Maybe Mirror's Edge is going to be the only game I ever bought at Target.

On a semi-related note, my local Best Buy has a few CE copies of Saints Row 2 for $20.
 
My nearest one Afro finally dropped to $14, and LOTR:dropped to $19 so I decided to picj those up. Still waiting and hoping for NFS:UC to drop as well.
 
'Ratchet & Clank: TOD' for $14.99 behind the glass case in the Target at Pembroke Pines, FL. About 8 copies left.

They also had some copies of 'Gran Turismo 5: Prologue' right next to it for $9.99. Don't know if that's a clearance price or not though.
 
well finally found afro in socal....for $29.XX.

Did find a few Fear 2 for 24.xx at the north fontana target though if anyone is looking for that. there were about 4 or 5 copies left.

lol...I don't live anywhere near Shorewood. I drove an hour just to go there because I read (thanks to this lovely thread) that they still had plenty of Afro for $15 and WWE09 for $12.50 ...I also found out that your sales tax is 7% which makes me extremely jealous. ...fuck Chicago and its 10.25% sales tax!!!

...and on a side note: To anyone who has picked up LOTR: Conquest for $19.xx ...is it worth that price? I'm sort of interested in the game, but I heard so many bad things about it...and I wasn't a fan of the demo.
 
Found two copies of Halo Wars Limited Edition for $19.98, still marked at $55.98. I have a feeling someone's panty stash was discovered.

(And I bought both, neither of which to resell or trade, sorry. :whistle2:?)
