This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Oh yeah I also saw about 4 POP PS3 for $9.xx at the Fort Walton Beach target and WWE Legends of Wrestlemania for $41.xx on the 360. I hope I can get a copy of it once it drops more
 
Target in St. Pete, FL has nothing new, in fact, all the Socom, Motorstorm, HAWk and NCAA 09 games were missing so I'm guessing they went down on price and people bought everything.

The only good games left (imo) that I saw were MadWorld for 20 and Dead Space PS3 for 20 (only one copy left)
 
bel air, MD store is worthless. tons of GH:WT, and literally 5 other items- 2 copies of DS shovelware and one Ben 10 for PSP. I'll try to check a couple other stores tomorrow
 
Here is what I snagged today @ the Target in Elk Grove, CA

Might go back tomorrow and Pick up Ghost Recon 2 for $20.

Pretty decent haul.
 
Nothing new in the markdowns in my area. Lots of Resistance Greatest Hits and Dead Space at $20.98. Wanted and Reddick $34, No Motorstorm :(
 
I ended up returning the 3 games I bought at a local Target to one a bit further away today. Then, I rebought the copy of Fear 2 that I just returned 20 minutes earlier because it was $12.48 at that Target versus $24.98 at my local one.

I also bought a copy of LOTR: Conquest for the PS3 for $20.98, which my local Targets didn't have ANY copies of.

All in all, combined with the two games I got from Sears(Folklore for $4.97 and Haze for $2.97), I'm happy with my haul from yesterday.

Weird thing is though, Riddick came up $39.99 at the scanner, but they had a copy for $27.98 on clearance on the shelf.

It's not really a new shift in policy. My one target store always drops prices on Friday, while the other ones do so on Monday. Seems to depend on the store.

Got me a Pacific Rift for 15 and Fear 2 for 12.50 last night, and I will probably never have time to play either of them... maybe someday!
 
Was looking for the lone Motorstorm:pR that was at my local target yesterday, but it was M.I.A. - probably stashed. :bomb:

I checked another Target on my way into work today despite the stock checker saying there were none. Sure enough, I found a single copy in the case tagged at $29.xx. I whipped out my UPC sheet and saw it was actually $14.xx and snagged it!
 
This sucks, everyone is finding Final Fantasy for $10 while the stores near me still has it for $28:cry: along with a stack of Dynasty Warriors PSP for the same price
 
Just got back from Target (who needs lunch when you have the chance to get some good deals) I wasn't too successful, seems I never am there.

My Target actually had a bunch of games marked down that I don't want, Final Fantasy, Warhawk and a couple others I don't remember the names of. But they didn't have Prince of Persia or Motorstorm in stock and they didn't mark any of the NPC games down. Motorstorm rang up today at $7.48 on my barcode and said they had some instock, but none in the store room, went to check but couldn't find it, last time this happened they didn't have any in stock. Since I was short on time and couldn't find any employees, I decided not to pursue it. Where Motorstorm went they had the gray sticker which I was told meant they won't get any more in. Prince of Persia was also gone, but I don't know what it is scanning at because I don't have the barcode for it yet. The NPC control games were in stock, but still pricing at $29.99.

Other than that the couple games I waiting to drop were still at high prices, Monsters Vs. Aliens :ps3: and several Wii games. I decided to grab M&M's Adventure for $13.98 and Space Camp for $9.98. I don't know if I'm keeping either one, but M&M's looks interesting and Space Camp I've been interested in a while. I'm going to look up reviews and if they are no good will probably just return them.

So once again, another disappointing trip to Target for me. I can never seem to find any really good deals at Target because they either don't have the price lowered, or they have it lowered and they are all gone. They still didn't have Toy Story Mania pre-order cards at this Target either, so I'm glad I got it over the weekend. I couldn't even get the Mountain Dew Ultra Violet I went to get :( So in reality I went to Target, didn't get anything I wanted and instead managed to get two games on impulse :D

Went to my local Tarjay yesterday to check out the clearance games also...they actually had a good PS3 selection, but not too many 360 titles I wanted; with the exception of Wanted, but it was $34.98...i might wait for another dorp on this one.

Did manage to get a 12 pack of Ultra Violet for $2.75 :D ....mighty tasty! also looks vaugely familiar with Nuka Quantum from Fallout 3

Did you have them check the price? The store I found mine at had it in the case for $39.99. Probably the only reason I was able to find one.
 
I went looking for FEAR 2 and Motorstorm: PR with a small interest in Socom for the mic. Just found Socom and, after some debating, decided it wasn't worth the trouble for a mic. None of my friends have a PS3 (with a mic), so I'd just talk to random people. Doesn't seem worth it. I really wanted M:pR though :(

I'm hoping to pick up HH for $4.98 but I would be ok with keeping it for $9.98. There's plenty of copies in my area so I'm not that worried.

FFCC: EoT dropped from $27.98 to $9.98 at all the Targets that I found them in. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania is still at $41.98. Finally found FFCC: EoT :wii: clearanced at $27.98. I wouldn't mind picking it up at $9.98.

I didn't see any new drops.

I got four 12 packs for $11. I think it tastes like Halo Gamefuel.
 
If anybody would be willing to pick me up a copy of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time for the DS for $15 shipped, I'd be incredibly grateful!
 
Target on 71st in Tulsa had one copy of FEAR 2 for $12.48, and though I don't have the game after playing the rental for an hour or so I could not muster the desire even at that price to buy it. Also saw 22 copies of Dead Space for $14.98. Other than that, they had about a million Sonic Hedgehogs of which they could not pay me to take.

I have yet to see Patapon 2 drop below $13.98 in my area, eventhough, everything else drops at a reasonable rate.

The day that each Target does it's clearance drops is YMMV. The day may even change (as happened at the Target nearest to me). They usually did their drop first thing Monday morning but I went yesterday around 10 am and no drop. I went back today at around 11 am and the drop was done.


The only 2 copies of the Socom bundle in my area were bought at $41.98. :whistle2:|

Dang, wanna trade, I can get any other case of Pepsi or Coke products! :lol: I just got one of the little bottles the other day because I found it when I was getting ready to leave and didn't know what it tasted like, so I didn't want to wast the money, since a lot of people don't like the flavored Mountain Dews (I love Code Red, but hate Baja Blast) and they had the cases the other night. Now, when I'm addicted to the stuff and want to buy a card load, they don't have any :roll: I just grabbed three more bottles (they work better anyway so I can put them on the floor when I'm gaming and not have to worry about my dog knocking it over) and will check next time, but man is that stuff good!

My Target had them for the same price (all the Pepsi products that is) too, but I just grabbed a couple bottles to tie me over, hopefully they will get some more in, I think they only had a couple of cases the other day too.

I've never tried any of the other Mountain Dews (other than Code Red and Baja Blast) such as the Halo and World of Warcraft, but I always wanted to. I usually don't drink regular drinks for some reason, so I've never picked any of those up in the past.

At first, I didn't like the taste of it, but after two or three sips I was hooked, it is darn good! I actually have always liked Code Red a little better than Mountain Dew, so now I need to do a taste test and figure out where Ultra Violet Ranks :bouncy:


Anyhow, I'll stop talking about Mountain Dew now since it is off topic (though Mountain Dew is my drink of choice when gaming and when I'm gaming I'm usually playing my CA games ;) )

I got POP for PS3 for 9.95, FEAR2 for PS3 for 12.48 and then got freaking Madworld Saturday night for 20, only to find out last night it was 15. Does Target to price adjustments for clearance games?

One target I know had 15 copies of FFCCEOT and today, none. They have been picked clean. Damn hoarders!! They can't even make much profit on ebay so why bother.

They had 14 copies of SOCOM for $28.89. If anyone wants 1, let me know.

14? wow. i never seen that many at one store even brand new. you must be at high volume place. ill take one at $15... lol.

at target today, i saw final fantasy eot wii for 28. i assume thats different from the ds version you guys are talking about.
