This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I just picked up Dead Space for PS3 for $20.90 on clearance at Target.

It wasn't in the typical clearance section that's usually behind the video game area. I found the PS3 clearance games on an aisle end cap by the DVDs.

I'm in the Chicago suburbs.

Gah, I envy you guys finding great deals at your Target. My local Target has almost no clearance items for PS3. They have only FEAR 2 for $24.xx.

First motorstorm is good. For $7.50 can you really go wrong? Even if you only play it for an hour or two you would have gotten your money out of it.

yeah I just grabbed it on my lunch break... i figure its just like a cheap map pack, heh.. maybe not quite as good graphics or some other minor stuff
 
i think it'll be hard to go back to the first motorstorm if you played the 2nd one already. first one only has 1 environment (desert) and the races have pretty much no variety....actually all you do is just standard races i believe. and they're long, long races.

Probably not gonna happen. Confrontation started at $60 so the drop points are $42, $30, and $15. I would suspect that most stores that still have it in stock today are at $30.
 
Or they might stop with the price drops now that Sony has commissioned SOCOM as a Greatest Hits title. They might let it sit at the GH price for a bit before resuming price dropping.
 
Hit up a few more stores today...got a couple copies of FF: Echoes ($10) on the DS for me and the misses, along with the last freakin Battlestations Pacific ($15). The title poofed fast, apparently everyone was eyeing it. Madworld sadly hasn't dropped yet. :\
 
Picked up Madword for 14.98 and Riddick PS3 for 19.98, would've liked to have waited for one more drop on Riddick, but out of 3 Targets I went to, only one had it, and there were only 2 copies. Also saw..

I picked up the last copy of FF: EoC. I might trade that. There was a couple of copies of Dead Space. Madworld was still $20. They had a lot in the clearance areas and scattered around. I hadn't been to that store in a while and didn't know that they had put new racks in for the games. I hadn't seen any like those before.
 
Went to South Setauket, NY picked up what seemed to be the last copy of Prince of Persia PS3 for 9.98 (planning on getting a PS3 when the drop is announced). There was a single copy of FF:Echoes of Time DS there for 9.98 if anyone wants it.

This is the second mention of hiding games in this thread today. I really wish mods would crack down on those who talk about hiding games. If you hide games, fine, but keep it to yourself. What purpose does it serve telling everyone else that you hide games? Answer: none.
 
Looks my Target (American Fork, UT) is getting the hang of weekly price drops. Unfortunately, there's nothing there that really interests me. For some reason they had a lone copy of Frontlines: Fuel of War last week for $14.98 and it hit $9.98 today, so I grabbed that. They also have quite a few PS3 games (Dead Space, Rainbow Six, Riddick) but nothing too low in price yet.

Also, they finally put Patapon 2 on clearance for $9.98. If I remember correctly, people were picking that up quite some time back. Apparently they're a little slow around here. :)
 
Grabbed a copy of Henry Hatsworth for the DS today for 9.98

Found a Henry Hatsworth for $9.98 as well, bought it from all the excitement here. Not sure what to expect.

A few drops, notably Motorstorm:pR officially dropped to $14.98 (after the accidental mis-tagging last week when I got it at that price anyway). Pretty much cleared out at the stores, though. Got there later than normal, not sure if they sold at $29.98 or lots of people beat me to check it out. One store by me still has a good 20 copies of Dead Space at $20.

Folks, some Targets are now reducing prices on Friday or Saturday now. I was at the Lennox location in Columbus, OH just browsing on Saturday not expecting anything and picked up the following:
FF:EoT 9.98
Dead Space 14.98
Madworld 14.98
Motorstorm: PR 14.98

These prices were one notch higher on Wednesday at that location. So yea most Targets drop prices on Mondays but keep an eye out over the wknd as well. I still haven't figured out if its Friday or Saturday that the price drop happened. This is the 2nd week in a row now at the same Target

Good to know. I wouldn't put it past your Target anyway because this whole clearance games thing is very YMMV. Very.
 
hit panama city beach, destin and fort walton beach today. came back with

Went to 2 Target's on the way home and managed to snag a copy of FF: EoT.

If anyone out there finds an extra FF: EoT let me know. I'd like to snag an extra one so my daughter and I can do multiplayer.

Have you played this yet? I have always contemplated getting another bowling game for Wii, but I've always wondered if it would be worth it with Wii Sports, and now that I have Wii Sports Resort I'm really not sure, but for $4, it might be a great time to give it a try.

I've got a brand new copy of Dead Space for PS3 that I picked up today - if anyone wants to trade for a new copy of FEAR 2 PS3, please let me know!

Got lucky for a change - picked up copies of:

Motor Storm: PR for 14.xx
Prince of Persia: 9.xx
F.E.A.R. 2: 12.xx

All PS3 - first finds in AGES for me

Target in Burlington Center NJ had 1 Motor Storm: PR left - if you're in the area its actually in the case in a pile of games on the bottom
 
Hit up 6 Targets in a circle (while I did other stuff) and didn't manage to find one copy of FF.

I did find Patapon 2 for $10, and Fear 2 for $12, so it wasn't a waste.

For anyone in the St. Pete / Clearwater / Dale Mabry area of Tampa, there are no Fear 2's (PS3) or FF: EoT's to be found, sorry.

I grabbed two copies of FEAR 2 that I wouldn't mind trading out. I already have Dead Space and don't really want Ninja Blade though. I'm out looking for Henry Hatsworth, FFCC Echoes of Time, and 360 versions of PoP and Riddick if anyone has extras of those they'd be willing to deal.
 
Its really odd how some Targets do the markdowns...One Target I hit had Riddick 360 for 7.48 and had FEAR 2 ps3 at 24.98...another Target I went to in the "same area" had Riddick ps3 and 360 for 24.99 and FEAR 2 ps3 for 19.98
