This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

At this point, fewer and fewer stores will have it. If it is any consolation, I'm in Nashville, TN, checked about 7 Targets, and ended up having to trade for it, so it isn't like every Target in TX and TN has it.

I'm torn because I'm certain that we're not going to see that here. The other day when it was still at $41.98 the Target near me was down to one copy (that hadn't been stashed somewhere by a hoarder, at least). If they even still have any left at $29.98, it's bound to disappear at that. Not sure if it's really worth that much or not.

Yeah, same here. There were 4+ copies at 2 stores last week and now it is down to 2+ copies. All stores still have them behind the glass. I think on Monday they may be down to $3x.xx and they will be gone.

Seems like $29.99 sr2 is YMMV. Although that $29.98 is still weird. That means it has dropped from $59.99 to $41.98 to $29.98 without anyone reporting it.

I'll third this..or is it forth? Afro hit $29.98 here for 360 this week and both copies are gone, though one was from me. The PS3 version hit $14.98 before being picked up, but there were more copies of it when the cuts started. If you're really interested, you probably shouldn't wait for the next drop.

It did at my Target. In fact most of the remaining PS2 games were $4.98, saw TM:HD, Hulk & Speed Racer for sure at that price.

only thing for retail stores on major holidays tho, a lot of their coporate offices arent open, so there may or may not be changes on the prices because of that. i remember when i worked at Best Buy there was no way to reach coporate offices or even best buy customer service on those days because they were closed for the holiday. so it may or may not happen on monday even tho target is open. hopefully though since ill be able to make it out there since im off

I got it two weeks ago in chesterfield, MO and I've had a post in the Target Clearance Trade Thread ever since.

Other copy of Halo Wars LE from last week is gone, so I don't know if it took another drop or not.

Glad for you guys who are finding Mirror's Edge in other Target's. I think that we are bone dry in Mass & New Hampshire. $20 is my price point and I've seen some at that price with shipping included on ebay. 9.98 still would have been nice. Happy hunting CAG!

My Target had Prince of Persia behind the glass with a clearance sticker that said $41.xx and under that a temporary price drop sign that said $30 lol.

Saints Row 2 - $39.98 (i think?)

Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law - $3.74 (LOVED the show so i picked up a copy)

Wheelman - $41.98
Rock Band 2 - $41.98 (i think?)

Saints Row 2 - $9.98

There were a WHOLE lot more that I just don't remember right now. I couldn't pass on Saints Row 2 for PC. $10 is probably the lowest it'll get. I might wait just a week or two more on the BOS!. It seems like a great game to have on hand for a party. I just hope there are still copies in Duluth when I get back.
