This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I can confirm L4D, NFS, Monster vs Aliens, Mortal Kombat, WWE 2009 all 360 (12.48 / 14.98), and Tiger Woods 2009 and Secret Agent Clank for PSP (7.48, and 10) all available in the OC, Cypress store had some NFS and Seal Beach store had Monsters vs Aliens and WWE.

With the exception of the PSP games, these all get > 15$ before bonus at GS, so the Trade 6 get extra 50% (using Edge) makes an easy minimum of 10$ each per game.

picked up locoroco 2 for $5 and the tom clancy graw2/splinter cell essentials 2-pack for $7.50 for psp at oakley target in cincinnati. last clancy 2-pack, but there was at least one loco roco 2 left.

no 360 clearance games, other than riddick and ninja blade (at $28, not $20), so no dice on that.

i did see rock band 2 for ps3 for $15 and kinda wish i'd picked it up, to sell or flip, but not sure what it's worth in the flipping department.

2 in warwick, 1 smithfield, 1 seekonk, 1 attleboro and only one to have ratchet and clank was warwick mall and it was full price and there are NO GT5s at any of those i bought the only one

Was able to pick up a copy of L4D at a target in philly today for $12.48, they had three copies left as well. They also had NBA Live 09 for 9.98. As well as Wheelman for 14.98 (one copy of each). Tiger Woods all play for wii 24.98, as well as some random shovelware that I did not really check. A few of Clank also,but did not check price.

I picked up the last copy of MK vs DS for $15 at the Target in Wheaton, IL. They had TONS of copies of F.E.A.R. 2 for $25. There isn't much else worth mentioning though. LocoRoco 2 for PSP was $5, 2-3 copies of Star Ocean 2 for PSP for $10, a couple of copies of Wheelman for the PS3 for $15 (I think that's how much they were). They also had some copies of Riddick and 50 Cent, but they were around $40 or so.

I was originally wanting to pick up L4D for $13 like most of you guys are seeing, but they had no copies of it. No Banjo & Kazooie N&B either. But MK vs DC is pretty fun. Not bad for $15.

He got nervous when I came over and started poking through the games so he grabbed all the psp stuff and bolted to the register knocking crap over and onto me as he left. Gah, figures, the week that I'm unable to leave my office during the day to check Target is the week they do all of the big drops. By the time I got there, Star Ocean: Second Evolution, the one that I really wanted, was long gone. As were Left 4 Dead and MK vs DC. Bah.

Did manage to grab:

Tried another store, but they had the same basic stuff. When I was there on Saturday, they'd had a pretty good stack of PSP games, but they'd all been cleared out. With a little digging, I did manage to grab Secret Agent Clank for $9.98 out from underneath a pile of stuff.

If anyone finds Star Ocean: Second Evolution for $9.98 and is willing to grab it for me, I'd happily Paypal $15 to cover the cost of the game and postage for it.

Edit: Managed to find Star Ocean: Second Evolution for $9.98 at another store, along with Left 4 Dead for $12.48, Lord of the Rings: Conquest for $9.98, and Loco Roco 2 for $4.98. At this point, my wallet is screaming in pain and my backlog is bursting at the seams, but it was a pretty good day overall. Thank goodness they don't do these mass price drops every week, though.

Then a friend of mine checked and told me there were 6 MK vs. DC's for $14.98 so I went after work hoping to score one... 3 hours after he tells me this there are NONE on the shelf. WTF.

I ended up picking up the last copies of LOTR: Conquest ($7.48) and WWE: Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 ($12.48) so I didn't leave empty handed.

Might go back tomorrow and pray they were just rearranging the clearance section, 'cause I don't know of any resellers in this area (yet).

My target had a ton of L4D at $12.48, but I passed since I prefer to get Valve games for the PC. I did pick up Star Ocean for $7.48. It rang up $10, but I got the lady to adjust to the marked price. I just would like to find the other star ocean game for the psp. I did see Loco Roco 2 for around $5, but I passed. Is it that game or Patapon 2 that is download only?

Went to 3 different stores in the OC and picked up the last copy of L4D for $12.98 and a copy of MK vs DC for $14.98. Also saw a couple of copies of RB2 and Wheelman for 14.98, a bunch of copies of NFS:Undercover and Smackdown 09 for $12.98. Also saw a few copies of LocoRoco 2 for $4.98 and a bunch of GH3 for $7.98.

Well, my Target either moved or did away with the clearance section -- I went to the spot it was in last week to find that not only were all 360 games gone, but so was the shelving. All that was left were some awful Wii games and Web of Shadow for PS2. I did, however, find my stashed MK vs DC, so it wasn't all bad.

Any kind soul want to grab me a copy of L4D?

One of the Targets I frequent moved the clearance game section. I asked where it went and there it was.....

I don't know what the deal is. They can't be cheaper to produce, they include the EXACT same information.. maybe they're more attention grabbing than the smaller ones and they hope to push the product out quicker.

Went to my local Target in Oceanside, CA today and they had at least 6 copies of 50 Cent (360) and Riddick (360) still 41.98 each. They also had a few Fear 2 for 34.98 and then of course 20+ copies of GH III for 7.48. Unfortunately no sign of Left 4 Dead.

Not to start up this topic again but anyone who stashes games is an ass. And not just because it hurts target. But the people who WORK there have to put the games back in the proper place when they find them simply because some dick decided to stash them away hoping for a price job.

Anyway, I too hit up the Arlington Blvd and the Skyline Targets. Picked up Saints Row 2, Scene it Bundle, GRAW/SC PSP, Tiger PSP, and Locoroco2 all at the mentioned lowest prices. Several ~$10 Secret Agent Clanks @ Skyline along with a couple ~$15 MK v DC.

Just got home from my local Target. Saints Row 2 is finally $12.98 on the clearance shelf.
My local target is in Royersford, PA. If anyone in the area looking for SA2 on clearance they have about 20 copies.

I also saw Guitar Hero III 7.48. Ninja Blades and PoP on the clearance shelf.

Fingers crossed that SA2 is as cool as Cheapy D makes it out to be! Then again for 12.48 it's no big deal.
