This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

It's considered fraud. You can do it, but WM tracks your returns and limits the number you can do.

The Coralville, Ia target also keeps half behind the glass and the rest on an endcap. I snagged FEAR 2 for $30. They have 2 more FEAR's, 2 Raw vs Smackdown 2009's for $12, 10-15 GH3 for $7, LOTR:C for $10, and 8 Ninja Blade's for $23. All for the 360.

I picked up the last RB2 for today for $14.xx; I also snagged NFS: Pro Street for $13.xx

I did see some Saints Row 2 for $12.48 360, GH:WT for $30.xx? ps3, Tomb Raider Underworld for $27.xx ps3 -- I'm hoping that one sticks for a few more drops.

I saw some random PSP games, I believe one Scrabble for $7.48, some basketball and baseball games for similar prices.

dude a fellow CAG near where I live lol thought everyone was in LA.

I'll tell you right now that Montclair is just a horrible store. Most times the clearance has shovelware or just one or two pieces of good stuff left by the time it hits clearance. That is IF you can find it. Tried getting Ace Combat 6 there and they SAID that they had 6 but they were nowhere to be found. It's almost impossible to find someone who can help you to boot. Did Chino have anymore L4D left? and yeah La Verne still had a couple of copies left last I checked but I passed on them...I picked up the last copy in SB.

No. I got the last copy of Left 4 Dead. Let me know if need something else and I'll look for it during my rounds. I've pretty much swept through my area, if I go out any further the cost of gas would make the games more than it's worth.

Last week at my nearest Target, they didn't have the GOTY edition and instead it was just the regular L4D they had behind the case with the GOTY "sale" price.

Just picked up PS3 Burnout Paradise for $13.98 at the Balboa Ave. Target in San Diego. They had about 10-15 more copies.

My local Target store didn't have any more copies of L4D, but I see in the clearance racks several copies of Fear 2 ($34.98) and Riddick ($41.98).

According to the online stock tracker, MK vs DC is out of stock everywhere, along with Halo Wars LE. However, Monsters vs Aliens has limited availability Left 4 Dead won't work with the stock checker though, it always says to check back later, so fingers crossed when I go tomorrow.

man. We must have a heavy power trader in CT, near the westfarms mall. He/she must swipe every game. I can never seem to grab ANY clearance games. Only thing I have seem was PoP 360. Which I have no interest for because I had it (am going to get it again) for the PS3.
