This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

A lot of the games I search for are listed as "Limited Availability" IMO that isn't clear enough. Usually when it says that there are 1 or 2 left it means they are probably hidden.
 
Snagged the only copy of Tomb Raider Underworld (PS3) for $15 today at Target in Farmington Hills, MI.

They also had mulitple copies of:

Prince of Persia (360) - $15
FEAR 2 (360) - $13
Rock Band 2 (PS3) - $15
Burnout Paradise (PS3) - $14

I know we're a little behind in Alabama anyways, but went to the Montgomery target after class yesterday. 1st off there was nothing left except some shovelware wii games for 20.xx and GH went down to 13.xx. How old is guitar hero for ps2 anyways?? Finally at 13.xx? Please! Scanned some games since there was nothing, the 19.xx copy of dead rising I returned/rebought was still 27.xx and 50 cent was still at $59.99. Price drops there were non existant. Everything scanned at the right price for the most part but nothing was there.... I didn't think there were that many CAG's in my area....

I dont think i've seen the ps3 one on clearance but i got afro samurai for 360 last week. For Mk vs DC i think i saw it last week behind the glass at South Plainfield for 30$.

At Broadway Mall I know they had Loco Roco 2($5), FEAR 2(360-$25), and NFS: Undercover(360), they also ahad a few other games but I don't think anything that good.

Finally landed a copy of :360: Left 4 Dead that was in the glass case behind the GOTY edition. The electronics clerk looked at me and said he would humor me an check the price, when I saw him scan the price three times I knew I found my $12.98 copy
 
wow, a sole copy of naruto ps3 magically appeared past weekend at my target (miami, fl) haven't seen a copy since the initial price drop)... still marked at $41.99!

went to scan it... out of system. removed the clearance price and had an employee scan it...walked out with it for $14.99.
 
I'm sure there are resellers and people using the gamestop deal for fight night. such a shame! all the targets near my are cleaned out too. I would not be surprised with lurkers too

I do feel bad for people like you. I am sure a lot of people would enjoy playing these games but sadly you know most of them are being resold.

L4D is sold out at every Target in a 10-15 mile radius of me. Even the GOTY versions are sold out in some of them. I actually wanted to play it, not resell it.

I didn't check for those games, as I was only looking for L4D, but the selection at the Farmingdale Target looked pretty good. I used the stock lookup on the mobile website and the Farmingdale Target was the only store by my area that had "Limited Availability" of L4D. Maybe try that for those other games?

If anyone comes across an extra copy of Left 4 Dead at the clearance price. I can do $23 shipped. Much respect to CAG's who have tried to look out, rdogg and ajh2299. Thanks again guys.

Yeah there were 4 copies left when I left the store last night and they were either gone this morning by 10:30 am or were still in the back getting resticked to the $12.48 price. I asked the kid working in the electronics department but he didnt have a clue and was no help at all.
 
Score and a half for me. Decided to try and look behind the GoTY editions of L4D in the glass and guess what? A decent sized stack of regular editions that rang up at $12.48. I bought 5 copies (for my co-workers). I would have bought all of them but I didn't know what my bank account looked like at the time. I'll hit it up again after work and post back here with the results. These copies will be strictly for hooking up CAGs. Wish me luck!

yeah I posted earlier about the MK vs. DC's .. they were there Sunday when I checked and when a friend of mine checked Monday, I went in a few hours later and they were all gone.

Oh, and I picked up the last 3 copies of L4D. :)

:ps3: Tomb Raider Underworld scanned at $20.98 here. Bah. Hopefully it'll still be around for the next drop, but there were only a few copies, so I'm not going to count on it.

Oh well, after the scores of this past week, I guess I shouldn't complain (or spend any more money anyway, for that matter).
 
Anyone in the Tampa, FL area knows if there are any more Rock Band 2s for the PS3. I have a couple of stores that lists that they have them in stock on the website, but when I go to the store or call, everyone says there are no more.

Oh I understand that comletely. I usually grab it when it hits 30% or possibly 50% then hang on to the receipt. Then do a return/rebuy if I can time it right. Either way, 30 and 50 percent off are better than retail... and you still get it before it clears out.

I'm going to make one final attempt for MK vs DC at another target tomorrow. If I can't find it, would anyone be willing to ship it to me? You can tell me what you want too, so when I go I'll look for that as well just incase we can trade.

I think you should check out the game play it looks pretty good and for 15 bucks that's a steal. Used is almost retail practically.:cold:
 
The first Target I went to was a bust, but at the second I scored NFS and Monsters vs Aliens for $12.48 each. I promptly traded MvA in at the Game Crazy within a few feet of Target for $20.83 of credit that I used for their 2 for $25 deal going on. At my second Target, there was all a good amount of FEAR 2 on the clearance shelf, for $24.98, so I will just be waiting for that to drop. Oh, and a thing that pissed me off though was that the cashier like inspected my NFS game, as it was marked at the $35 clearance point, and tried scratching off the sticker to like see if anything was under it, so I finally just made him give it up by telling him that my friend bought it for the same price.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to do that next time a situation like this comes up. :) Hopefully there will be a price drop in the next 2 months before I leave for school.

I don't think it matters because they usually go by what is scanned, yes, :bouncy:no?
 
There is one copy of L4D left at the New Garden Target in Greensboro, NC, behind the GOTY editions in the case. There may be 2 left, but I couldn't get a good look-- the clerk seemed a little annoyed that there were cheaper versions of the game available, and especially annoyed that I wanted two copies.
 
So I stopped by 3 other targets in the Lake Forest, CA area on my way back from the office and wasn't able to find anymore copies of L4D or NFS:Undercover and I ended up passing on a BOS w/ Controllers ($10). Saw plenty of Fear 2 ($25), GHWT ($30), Ninja Blade ($28), 50 Cent ($42) for 360 and NFS: Pro Street ($13) for PS3. Also saw a couple of Clank ($10) for PSP, SvR ($13), and Pokemon Emerald & Sapphire ($25) for GBA.

I've kept track of what each store had from the 10 or so stores I've stopped by in Orange County, CA in the past few days, so if anyone in the area is looking for something let me know. Unforunately, there aren't any more copies of L4D, NFS: Undercover, MK vs. DC, or Wheelman at any of those stores.

Looked at the burlington, NC store today - tons of POP, but no l4d.

I picked up the last Monsters vs. Aliens for my kid, but it's not working - looks to be scratched (it was new).

Since it was the last one, I assume they'll give store credit if I return w/ receipt?

Stopped by my Target today in Orange, CA. It sucks for deals. There isn't even a clearance section anymore. It was full of Wii Punch Out and other Wii crap...
 
I finally found a clearance game besides PoP 360. I got Afro Samurai for myself. It may not be the best, but whatever, its got a cool slipcover and it was only 15 dollars.

I had monsters vs aliens in my hand (for the second time), but opted out since money is sparse and I would much rather hold onto this 15 dollars for the rumored B1G1 at BBV
