This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

the sign up in front of the normal games does say b1g1 50% on REGULAR PRICED games 14.99 and over..

but the register did automatically take off the discount.. i also checked out at the electronics register and not the main registers up front but i would expect they work the same.
 
There was a huge sign in mine that read: B 1 Get 1 50% off on all games 14.99 - 149.99 so I don't know why other Targets would be any different.

The Target I went to last night had the same sign.
 
Just got back from the Target in Lionville, PA. I can confirm that the 50% off works on 360 clearance games. I got:

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand 360 (Last one) - $14.98
Riddick 360 (2 left) - $14.98 (Rang up $7.49 after 50%)
Ninja Blade 360 (Last one) - $9.98
Guitar Hero: WT (1 left) - $14.98

As you can see, not only does it mark off 50%, but it marked off 50% from the more expensive game ($14.98, not the $9.98 game as I was expecting).

Also, it was only for 360 games.

Picked up Blood on the Sand for $14.98, but Riddick is *still* $29.98. I think it's because there's only 1 copy left, and usually hidden behind 30 copies of 50 Cent.

Endwar bundle still at $22.48.

Don't forget 1600 Microsoft Points gets you a $5.00 Target gift card this week. (essentially making the points ($15) Stock up for All Fronts and Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Ahh, no luck with papermill and 5th st. Endwar is still $45. Maybe they didn't mark anything down yet.

That's how Target works-- if something rings up for the wrong price or you get double-charged and they've totaled the transaction, they just send you over to Customer Service. Had that happen a few years ago; I guess they want to keep their checkout lines moving.

And FWIW, if you used the "credit" option when paying, Target technically doesn't have your funds until the transaction clears (usually 1-2 days later). Until that takes place, the bank puts a hold on your account for the transaction amount. If it's significant and you need the money, your bank may remove all or part of the hold if you call them.

If you used your PIN, I would think the refund would be able to hit your account pretty much immediately.

360 Clearance games are going to be wiped out this week. I picked up 2 50 Cent, FEAR 2, and a Ninja Blade. Promo worked on all.
 
Bought the endwar bundle for 22.48, Dead Rising Chop til u drop for 9.98, House of the Dead Overkill for 12.48, and NHL 09 for $15. Goddamn 50 Cent was still $30. Probably because last week I bought 1 for $30 so it didn't drop with the rest.
 
Grabbed the EndWar bundle for $22.48 in Chantilly, VA. They still had a good number of copies, but I doubt they'll be around for another drop. No other notable drops -- most of the worthwhile clearance games have been cleaned out at this point.
 
I just went to the Target next to my house that has shit clearance prices. Amazing I bought 2 copies of 50 Cent BOTS, 1 was $14.98 and the 2nd was $7.49, so I can also confirm that the B1G1 50% off works on clearance games. This was the 1st time i bought a clearance game at this target in a year or two. NHL 09 and HAWX were $42. At the store I was at earlier today they were both 14.98. I wish I would have remembered about the B1G1 back then.

I knew of the B1G1 50% off deal but wasn't sure until I got to the register. Once I saw it giving me the discount, I was even happier. I was just glad to see all 3 games *finally* dropped to 75%.
 
Wow, I'm surprised the B1G1 50 off is working when buying 2 $14.98 games. I figured it would work for clearance games, but didn't think it would work for 2 games that are both below the $14.99 floor. Guess I might have to head back out to Target after work!
 
Target sure is stingy with Tomb Raider PS3 by me... Still 20.98 for 5 weeks or so now. Anyone see it drop somewhere? I thought I saw at least one mention it...

It disappeared from around here several weeks ago before I could grab it. I assume that it dropped on that day, as it had been sitting untouched at $20.98 for weeks before that. I was pretty unhappy that I missed it. :cry:
 
Saw some copies of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift for $29.98 and I almost grabbed one (I've wanted the game for a long time and feel like it won't last for another drop in my area)...and I also saw quite a few copies of 50 Cent for $14.98, but I already own the game and don't need another.

...Ninja Blade is still sitting at $27.98 and it's really starting to annoy me. I want to pick up the game but it doesn't seem to want to drop at all.

For what it's worth, I picked up Ninja Blade last week when it dropped to $9.98 here, and after playing it, I don't think it's very good. Ok for that price, I guess, but I'd have been unhappy if I'd paid any more for it. It's a little too reliant on quick time events, and it honestly gets kind of repetitive after a bit. It might be an ok game if it weren't competing against things like the Ninja Gaiden series, but if you're looking for a ninja game, you're better off picking up one of those.
 
5th street Target did their drops. End War is finally 22.xx. Not all were tagged correctly. There's still about 8 left. No other drops that I noticed.

I picked up this router to use as a wired switch for all equipment in my living room (Dish Network, PS3, 360 and WII)

I almost didnt get it cause my cashier was trying to cheat me out of it. there was a clearance sticker on it for 11.24 but i was even suspicious if that was right price. He told me the price rang up 56.xx.. so i just bought my games that i had. i asked to see the dpci number so i can punch it into a scanner and when i punched it into the scanner it came up 11.24... so i come back to the electronics cashier and He says, oh it just rang up 11.24.. so i think he was about to buy for himself right at that moment.. and then we had a brief awkard pause cause he knew he just got caught..

Saw it yesterday at my local store for $14.98. Might stop on the way home and see if it went any further.
 
Just got back from the American Fork, UT store. First time in over a month that I've seen a 360 game under $20. Picked up the last :360: 50 Cent: BotS for $14.98. Everything else is still holding at the prices they've been for the last 1-2 months. Getting kind of ridiculous. Hopefully they just skip one of the drops since it's been so long. I'm pretty sure that's what happened with BotS. I was there on Friday and it was still $41.98.

Picked up a copy of NCAA 09 so there's now only 7 left. Those top two were the only ones worth mentioning, the rest were at.. undesirable prices.:bouncy:

Thanks for the help, finally located the elusive section although there was really nothing of note. Allfor the PS3: About 8 Endwar bundles still marked at $44, about 5 PoP for $28, Fear 2 for $34 (1 copy left), and about 6 Motorstorm's for $44.

= 43.37 TOTAL

There were about 5 more on the riddick, ninja blade and 50 cent; and 1 more marble game. be aware the endcap is completely unorganized. With some digging you will find what you need.

I was really looking for house of the dead overkill or dead rising: ctyd....but i guess you can't win them all. Today was a good haul.

edit: Motorstorn 2 was also ~$30, but I'm going to wait on it to drop more. There were plenty of copies.

Finally got HotD: Overkill for 12.48 and a lone Fear 2 popped out of nowhere (probably someone's stash) for the same price.

Picked up 50 Cent too for 7 since the B1G1 half off.
