This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Just came back from Target and picked up Ninja Blade for $9.98, they still have 1 copy left. They had one copy of Riddick on Friday, but it was sold out today.

I also noticed Wheelman for $27.xx for Xbox 360.

The last copy of Ninja Blade at the nearest Target to me was still $19.98. Riddick was still at $29.98. I think I may have gone too early as the endcap was still a mess.

I've yet to see NHL 09 drop below $41.98 in my area. I'm not interested in buying it since I picked it up on day one but it's interesting to see that a sports game is taking so long to drop (atleast, in my area).

Hopefully it dropped for you too, theres only 3 left at my target and it was still 27.98 when I checked friday. I may check myself today but since it's been at that price for a couple months and other people have said it dropped a long time ago. I have little hope. PLus I gotta see if that whole shelf of madden 09's for PS2 has moved any yet.
 
I just picked up a copy of NHL09 (360) for $14.98 at the Super Target in Fitchburg WI.

Motorstorm PR didn't drop again here. Bugger.

Well thats the thing, I was there just yesterday and I scanned it myself and it was at the $27.98-29 price range.
Anyone know if there's a specific day markdowns are usually or are they just random?

If you still have the receipt from your first purchase, you can buy the lower-priced copies and return them with the old receipt. Well, if you think it's worth your time. It would basically be a B1G1. I know I would do it in a heartbeat but that's just me.

Your lucky that your Target goes above 75% off.
 
Do these targets have clearance racks or something? The games in my targets are locked up behind a glass window. And anyone know of deals of the Queens Center Target NYC

From all the Targets I've visited, the clearance rack is usually separated from the game section. It's typically as an endcap and the games aren't behind glass. You should typically be able to find it a 2-3 aisles away.

clearance games are usually on an endcap near the electronics section, ..there's usually a wall where they display the tv's... it tends to be near there.. it probably won't have JUST games on it... some of them group a few dept's onto 1 clearance rack.

the games are loose on the shelf with the red clearance stickers on them
 
My target has them in two places. They have an Electronic Clearance section on the back of one of the endcaps that is between Electronics and the next section. They also keep some in the case.

freaking Tomb Raider Underworld is still $20.98 in Glen Burnie, MD. I'll check again tomorrow in case they're slow or something, but I've been waiting too long for this to drop
 
i saw a target in watsonville, ca that had endwar ps3 for $22, but someone stole the bluetooth headset in it. apparently it's okay to sell it just with the game only since the price tag clearance was on the box itself without the plastic wrapping

The Target near me still has Fear 2 (PS3) at 24.98, but they are dumping a bunch of copies of Dead Space, Resistance, and Ghost Recon 2 at 20.98.
 
Saw about 5 copies of HAWX 360 for $14.98 at the Denton, TX store. Also, two copies each of Riddick PC and Wolverine PC for $9.98 each.

Huh, they must have put that out after I checked it at lunch time. When I was there, all that was on the clearance shelf was a few random PC and PS2 games, and a pile of the Wii Cheerleading game.

Riddick 360 FINALLY dropped to 14.98 today at Clackamas Target in OR. I grabbed 2 copies and there's about 3 left for any fellow CAGS. Also Some Tom Clancy Hawx game PS3 and Velvet Assassin PC.
 
Only 2 copies of it, so I don't expect to see them again unless it gets stashed and brought back out. Pretty typical at this location. LOL

Finally was able to get Riddick and NHL 09 at $14.98 each! Took long enough. Motorstorm:pR stays stubbornly at $29.98

Also found some copies of PS3 NCAA Football 09 for $7.48 (original price was marked at $29.99) which surprised me, I picked it up a couple weeks ago for $14.98 (from $59.99) but had seen a few people mention the $7.48 price, but I wasn't sure how they got it. I guess maybe the Targets that delayed putting it on clearance started from the $29.99 price. Now to dig up my receipt and return the $14.98 copy. (I had the receipt in my hand this morning and was debating tossing it since I hadn't seen another copy and didn't expect to see it cheaper, glad I didn't!!)

Ha, those Riddick's were $42 Sunday morning and the mall had about 8 copies of Riddick at $30 Sunday also.
 
Took a trip this weekend. I knew that my store would finally drop prices while I was gone and I was right. Looks like they are in-fact skipping drops with a longer wait in between.
Picked up the last :360: Ninja Blade for $9.98 (there were about six copies at $27.xx last week) and the last :360: HAWX for $14.98 (four or five at $41.xx last week). The last :360: Riddick was gone, though. Oh well, can't complain. This plus my :360: SFIV from Gamestop showing up makes for a pretty good day. :)
Not much left to speak of at my store for 360. Quite a few PS3 additions, though.
 
I just bought the last Endwar PS3 headset bundle for $22.xx at the Blue Diamond Target in Las Vegas.

I also picked up Patapon 2 (voucher) for $13.98. New drop?
