This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I also got the last 2 copies of The Bigs 2 using the $10 off 2 coupon for a total of $19.xx.

Then I flipped them to EB for MW2 and GoW Collection.
 
So you guys are having luck trading in duplicate copies? First it was no duplicate copies, then no shrink wrapped games. I think my EB hates me.

yeah, I couldn't do two copies of the same game at any of the GS's I went to, I called all first, and when I got there, even said, "What if I have the same game in my car, but really want to keep this other one."

Now, a good question would be, can you trade in the same game, but as long as it's on a different system? (Bigs 2 PS3 = $13.98, Bigs 2 X360 = $9.98) With coupon action that's $14, granted you have to pick up one more PSP/PS3 and X360 game, but still would make it worth it...
 
gamecrazy lets u trade in mutiple copies (YMMV), i traded in 5 or so copies of the bigs 2 ps3 the other day (kept one for myself)

(i hit 3 different targets, i didnt want to b called a "hoarder")

The FO3 expansion discs ring up as a regular 360 game. I just picked up Broken Steel/Point Lookout on Monday.
 
I need to make a trip out to Target, I've been wanting GH Metallica for the 360 since it came out but I refuse to pay 60 bucks for it and all the stores around me have it only for that price.

@lolwut / DefeatUForever - I'm heading out in a minute to ravage Target clearances - if I see a pair of GH Metallicas @ $15 I'll pick em up using the delicious coupon and send them to you for $15 shipped if you like. If not I'll just return or absorb them in to my now anemic trade list. Let me know via PM.

If anyone else has something they're hunting for (other than Wolverine as it's been completely wiped at all of the Targets its dropped at around here) let me know asap, I'll check on my phone while I'm out.

anyone who has done the NSMB trade at GS: Edge doesn't stack on top of it does it? As in the games are bumped up to $22 each instead of $20 each.

You basically just get NSMB for $10?
 
Wish I could find Wolverine Origins and Streetfigher IV for the $9.98 clearance price around here ... I would be all over those myself.
 
Actually they do stack the edge on the 19.99/9.99 deal it basically will cover the tax for you in most cases meaning you will actually get the game for $20/$10 which was surprisingly nice for me. Yesterday I turned the Target Clearance into half price Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassin's Creed 2. Spent about $30 at target traded games in for $43 each toward each game and paid $20 and change after that so I got both games for like $70 best part of it all is there is a Target literally in the same shopping complex as the Gamestop I don't know how i'm the only one who ends up doing this stuff.

this is exactly the deal! make sure they scan your edge card (the number) b/c you will get an additional 25% added to the two trade-ins. I think it was $8.08 out the door for me!! :)

Damn, shouldn't have posted this. Went to the same Target today. Hoping to pick-up G.I. Joe because the other Targets around me didn't have it. Anyways, got there. The clearance section was almost picked clean of 360 games. There were more than a dozen copies of Endwar on Monday. Complete BS.

So I left empty-handed. On my way back home. Got pulled over by the man for riding dirty. He slapped me with a $130 ticket. Expired inspection sticker. Sigh, guess I should start working doubles.

shit...when I think of riding dirty, it usually means with what I have on me, I could be taken straight to jail! $130 and expired inspection sucks and is a hassle, but at least you didn't get locked up!! I got pulled over yesterday for speeding, luckily they were just filling quota's or I might not be here today ;)
 
The problem I have is finding something to pair up with the Bigs 2 PS3. There are no more Bigs 2 360s near me and the other games are not worth the expense.

It's a cat & mouse game with the cops in my area . They only got me today because I was passing through a construction zone and there was a crapload of cops swarming the area.

Also have the DPCI for Ghostbusters on 360 for the OP: 207-22-0342

I also noticed they had empty retail space on the shelf in the Wii section for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. This game doesn't even come out till December 8th. Waste of retail space if you ask me.

I went again to Target and bought 2 last copies of Bigs 2 for $360. Paid $10 for both. Will flip at Gamestop tomorrow for Left for Dead 2.

So far I have used the coupon 3 times!

1) 2 copies of Bigs 2 360- $10 total

2) Bigs 2 and Gi Joe- $12 total

3) Hannah Montana and Spongebob Yellow Avenger PSP- $10

Unless you have Bigs 2 for PS3 and 360, you're probably not going to get the L4D2 promo. GS doesn't usually accept trades of 2 of the same game on the same console. So your chances of trading 2 x Bigs 2 for 360 is probably really slim.

Ive gotten those before when I bought a few copies of Beowolf (dont ask). I bought $10 in snacks and didnt need to buy a ticket for a movie. I had to get the manager to approve the coupons but it worked.

Edge stacks with everything, but the bump is 10% of the base price of the trade-in, not 10% of the $20.
