This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Finally got to use the coupons. Bought 2 copies of The Bigs 2 for $10 and 2 for for $14 and Red Faction and another Bigs for $20. GameStop and Assassinin's Creed and Dragon Age here I come!

Hey guys, Do you like the Target Policy to put all video games in clearance in a CASE.

1) I agree, because I saw many shoplifters. I got 2 video games in the past without the CD in the case, I tried to return it.... what the manager told me?.... You can't.... Why? Target Policy... Is not my fall, I said.... The lady told me: I knew it... but I can't do that....

2) The only problem is.... take so long to take it out.... when you pick up 5 or 6 games.... sometimes it bothers me....

I don't know if this is the same in all the country... but in Los Angeles Area, they always do it.

I thought about doing the whole trade in thing (buy 2 titles for 9.98 and use the coupon so get them for $10 total and then trade them towards L4D2 and get it for 19.99 [Longest parenthesis ever BTW] deal )

I had a hard time finding 2 9.98s that were on the trade in list so i got Quantum of Solace 20.98 and L4D2... The way i see it, i got 007 for 10 bucks and ended up paying full price for a game i needed lol.

Seriously...It is becoming a pain to find games worth the trouble. I will try one more time before the coupon expires.

The clearance games where i am (Charlotte, NC) are not in a case. They are out in the open with the other discount titles. Personally, i don't see the point of stealing games that are on sale but i guess people will take what they can get. That store you are speaking of must have a real shoplifting problem.

I think Targets with higher foot traffic are putting more clearance games in the glass displays as opposed to just the end cap. The Targets in my area are trending towards putting more games in their glass display. It's pretty embarrassing for a 6'1 190lb dude asking for the Hannah Montana PSP game..

Picked up Wolverine(360) 14.98 & Bigs2(360) 9.98 = 15.86 after coupon and tax then got Bigs2(PS3) 13.98 & random clearance psp game 10.48 = 15.33 after coupon and tax, returned the psp game got 6.57 back.

Went to gamestop with the copies of Bigs2 and got Assassin's Creed 2 for 23.59

One of the Targets in El Paso, TX just completely did away with the clearance video game end cap. The other Targets in town seem to have an overflow so don't know if they moved that one Target's stock or what.

Rosemead CA Target had one copy of Guitar Hero Metallica (360) for $14.98 and WWE Smackdown VS RAW 2009 (PS3) for $20.98, and some other less notable stuff I don't remember off-hand.

Picked up Red Faction for $20 and Fall Out 3 expansion for $14 and used the $10 coupon so total was $26. I know I over paid but I'm craving something to play this weekend.

Got GH Metallica and Endwar for $14 total today. A few days ago I got Tomb Raider Anniversary and Dead Space for $19 total. 4 games for around $35. Not bad I'd say. I'll probably print a few more coupons just in case I see anything else I want. Only used two coupons so far. Feel kinda dirty as I'm not used to using coupons...

Man, I must be lucky. Usually my store (American Fork, UT) is weeks behind the OP. But this week I picked up:
GTA IV - $14.98
Red Faction - $19.98

They literally had at least 40 copies of GTA IV, so hopefully it lasts until the next drop and I'll grab another one and return this one.

They also had a crap load of other 360 games at this location, but everything else was $27.98 and above.

Monday I thought El Hoardo snagged all the GI Joes and GH: Metallicas from one Target..I went back for shiggles and they apparently took all the cheap clearance games to the back and then set em all up later in the week for an endcap clearance thing.

Snagged GI Joe 360 and Dead Space 360 for 17 an change after coupon.

GTA IV is also going to be on sale at WalMart on BF for $10, just FYI.

the store in warwick RI (at the mall) had an insane amount of wii games on clearance (must have been over 200, it filled up an entire endcap), and they usually have nothing for video games. i'm sure there were some decent games and deals in there, but i didn't bother to look since i was only interested in xbox games. and after seeing the wall of white, i immediately went on my way.

Anywho, just got back from Target, and they are quite behind on their prices. Wolverine was still 41, GH:M was at 29, and some random sports games. I did lucky and get the Fallout 3: DLC pack they were going to trash for 5 bucks. Now I just need to buy Fallout 3...

I also saw Monster Hunter and Mini Ninjas . I wouldn't mind Mini Ninjas at 75% off. I saw plenty of copies of Ghostbusters at $41.98. I'm hoping they don't drop to $29.98 next week so that they have a better chance to make it through BF.

It was an actual clearance endcap? Because often they have endcaps with $20 and less Wii games, but they're not clearanced.
