This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Wolverine 360 was and still is stuck at $30 at all the Targets I went to, but I did spot a PS3 version for $15. I just bought the 360 copy for $30, but with my luck they'll drop the remaining copies down to $20 or less tomorrow.
 
30.00 for ghostbusters and wolfenstein!!!! damn i wanted these, just 2 much to pull the trigger, if any body gets these on the cheap let me know, i got an extra wolverine, gh metallica, red faction , gi joe and more! to even trade
 
I ended up getting:

$14.XX after coupon! Skate 2 was marked as $9.98. I saw Ghostbusters($30), Wolverine($30), and Wolfenstein($42) but they were still expensive. This was in Menomonee Falls, WI. Anybody know how much Resident Evil 5 is for the PS3? I saw it for $28ish a couple weeks ago. Thanks.

Like the others have said, I've never had any problems with calling. In fact, I actually programmed the Gamestop number into my contacts list so I can call and check trade in values when I'm checking out the clearances at Target.
 
i picked up all for 360 at 2 different stores
wolverine $15 + GI joe $12.50 and red faction $20 + bigs 2 $10

total = $37.50 b4 tax so i think i did pretty sweet

but i was thinking of returning gi joe and bigs 2 and trying to rebuy wolverine + red faction

are gi joe and bigs 2 any good? worth keeping? i figured those 2 came out to about 6$ each so wasn't so bad scooping them up at the 2 stores paired with the games i actually wanted.. if any1 played them and has any thoughts

was rough buying red faction at 50% off and not 75% haha but there were only 2 copies n i didnt think it would last past blackfriday ... w the coupon $25 for wolv and red faction i think its still an awesome deal

edit - gi joe got like a 42 on metacritic so im not so sure about this one
 
Went to Spokane Valley, WA today, picked up Wolverine 360 $15, AC 360 dropped to $15, Ghostbusters still at $41, 1 copy of Wolfenstein 360 for $41, RE5 for pc at I think $31, a bunch of Section 8, Demigods and GTA for pc, Red Faction 360 still at $27, RE5 ps3 at $27, that's about all there was. I hated to miss out on the coupon deal, but I couldn't find another 360 game I had to have, so I just got Wolverine by itself. Oh, also a Fallout 3 add-on 2 pack, I don't remember which one it was, I didn't check it cuz I already have them all, but there was no price sticker on it. It's really lame, none of my Targets have gotten the Fallout 3 GOTY edition. They just have the regular, and marked it down to $40. Lame.

I also saw $29.98 for Ghostbusters. That's a ridiculous clearance price because Gamestop's regular new price is $29.99. With any luck, the game will hit $15 and still be in stock at Target, but not before the coupon expires I'm sure.

I'm really hoping my Target will drop Metallica to $15 before coupon expiration. It was still stuck at $30 today.
 
Oddly enough at one Target store I went to, Wolverine scanned at $29.98 at one price scanner, but $14.98 at the other price scanners. Very weird. It rang up for $14.98.

I saw some PS3 Singstar Country Bundle w/ Mics for $24.98, is that a good deal at least for the mics? I'm not a fan of country..there were a ton of copies, but what would the price point be after another drop more than likely?
 
It is doubtful you will find it at this point but it is $5 at TRU for the Singstar Country Bundle.

The next drop would bring it down to $12.48.
 
Today At one Target I picked up Wolverine for $14.98 used the coupon on this purchase cause I got my Dad Call of Duty 3 for Xmas. At another Target I got Fable II for $7.48.

I went ahead and bit on Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP) for $14.98 at the Garner store in the Kroger Shopping Center. There were 2 more copies there after I grabbed mine. 50% is better than not getting it at all once Friday rolls around...

I finished gi joe on the hardest setting, and well ... I'm a big Joe nerd, but it's video game based on a movie based on a toy line, so as long as you don't have high expectations. :) The voice acting will have you scrambling for the "options" menu, and the game itself is pretty mindless (circle strafe your way to victory).

Still, for the price, if you don't like it you can trade it in to the GS and get your money back plus some (depending on promo).
 
Pick up Tiger Woods 10 Ps2 for $7.48 and Singstar Country with microphone $12.48 in Target South Gathe (Los Angeles area). The Cashier told me ..."WoW..........."

Does somebody lives in Orange Country? I'm looking for NHL 09 Ps3 to drop $7.48?
 
What was the original price of Bigs 2 for the PS3? I found a copy at $13.98 with no sticker and I'm trying to figure what the original price was.

The Bigs 2 I have seen at local Targets on Clearance have had red stickers that say $13.98 / Was $19.99
 
just get it already mis0! no more coupon in two days...next drop will bring it down a little or it could sell out, but unless you pick it up solo, ur probably better off using the coupon...
 
The Big 2 was 39.99. Go to any other site and you will see it still runs that price for the most part. Bigs 2 is only 19.99 for PS2.
On another note, I couldn't go to my target until late last night. Apparently wolfenstein and red faction were marked down here too. There was about 5 copies of each yesterday. Gone last night...Along with every coupon book in the building says CS.

It was a 360 game called "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. Very good hiding spot, but a savvy CAG looks everywhere in the game section for stashes. :p

Still not venturing into the panties section though.
 
My store seems to have stopped marking things down (Lanesboro, MA), is anyone else finding this happening in their area near the holiday season? Madden 09 for Wii has been $20.98 for about 5 weeks now.
 
A lone copy of RE5 PC went on clearance today at the Streetsboro, OH Target for $34.xx

Unfortunately someone will probably pick it up before it hits even $25. :(

Yeah, I'm still holding my breath for the PC version at an agreeable price. My Target has the same 4 copies still collecting dust.

Same here at my location....Wolverine has been $30 for 4 weeks, Ghostbusters for $41 for 3 weeks, same with NHL 2k for $35.
 
I finally bit on Wolverine for $29.98 since it never will drop here and Black Friday is approaching. I saw Skate 2 dropped to $9.98 so I picked up the last one and paid $30 total for both which is about $15 a game not bad.
 
got the last two copies of The Bigs 2 and Skate 2 on X360 probably to be found in all of Houston. All $9.98, 4 games, $5 each after coupon. Love it! I'm actually giving these as gifts this time.

I'm officially done!!! I've spent roughly $150 w/ this badass coupon, picked up 25 or so games..
 
Resident Evil 5 PC has also clearanced at the Niles, OH Target @$34.xx

Still no further drops on Section 8 PC.(past $34/30%)
 
@joker: the one on San Felipe and 610. Like I said, I grabbed the last of the games I mentioned, all they have now is a ton of GTA 4 @ $14.98, 1 Wolverine @ $14.98, 2 Cloudy... @ $13.98, 1 Section 8 @29.98 (same as Ghostbusters) some NHL 10 still at $29.98, 1 Mini Ninjas but didn't see the price, that's about it...
 
Scored 2 copies of GTA IV for under $10 each after coupon yesterday. Remembered that they both came with 1 month Live cards as well so that made the deal even better.

Just a reminder for those who might be new here. All the clearance games will be wiped out this weekend by soccer moms who think they are getting great black Friday deals. You have 2 days left to use the $10 off coupon and with no clearance drops coming until next week I advise you pick up anything you had your eye on before it expires. It will not be there next Monday.
 
Caved on Red Faction (enjoying it so far for $19.XX it's a steal) and Guitar Hero Metallica (worth the price of $29.XX to play Master of Puppets). Used the $10 coupon with no issues what so ever. Also saw an employee using the Wii coupon to get Wii Fit and New Mario.

I already hate myself for missing RB2 at another Target for $12.XX (bought a lot of games that week already so I passed on it and when I went back the next day it was gone). The target I hit yesterday has it for $24.XX with many copies so hopefully a few last past the drop and BF.

Decide how much you want them and be aware of the fact there's a very good chance they won't be there next week due to BF.

It really depends though. I can see a lot of games, like Wolfenstein or Section 8, having some pretty serious price drops across the board in the next few months. I'm just not willing to blow $25 a piece (after coupon) on those two games.

i think ull be able to find these cheaper soon at those prices... even with $10 off it still comes out to $25 each... wasnt red faction already on sale for $20 at gamecrazy a few weeks back? so im sure 20 for these will be easy to find soon enough

so if ur not gonna play them right away anyway i would hold off

if u really want to crack em open asap then its still not a terrible deal

and for comparison i scooped those up for $25 total (20 + 15 - 10) and i even felt guilty that red faction was only 50% off and not 75.... i guess thats why i go on this site haha
 
I found Dirt 2 for PS3 on clearance today at local target for 40.99$. Not sure if anyone wants this or if it was mentioned, but I saw it, red clearance sticker and all.
 
picked up red faction and cabela's outdoor adventures for $10.58 after the coupon. also picked up gh:metallica and graw2 for $20.15. i had purchased gh:metallica about 2 weeks ago with the coupon when it was $30. took the old receipt and returned the new copy. got refunded $25.61. so basically got $5.46 back and graw2 for free.

Being a movie-based game, Wolverine is sure to drop to $20 at other stores pretty soon.
