This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Heads up for anyone in columbus ohio. I've been looking for GHWT bundle for awhile.. There are at least 9 ps3 versions left at the sawmill road target for 22.xx, and 1 copy of Riddick for 10 bucks, it stickers at 27, but rings up at 10, trust me. I got one of the last 2 copies

My store had one of these the other day, I'm not sure if it is a regular drop, but I know it was under $15. I also found this at Toy's R Us for $10 last Tuesday, so if you haven't opened it you may want to keep an eye out as they seem to be dropping at a lot of places right now, at least from what I've seen.

Just got back from my Target. Just stopped in to get some milk, but noticed there was video games in the refrigerator marked at 10% off as is. Turned out to be a GH5 bundle. Got that, and now I can return the MSRP one that I bought.

I was surprised to see Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader for $9.98 because I just scanned it late Friday and it was $13.xx and I've never seen price updates over the weekend.
I don't know where the copy of Heavenly Guardian came from because that was the first time I saw it.

Haven't played it, but the reviews were absolutely terrible. I've been seeing it everywhere here too (before it was in clearance in Target, it was on clearance in Best Buy, etc.), and the box makes it look almost interesting enough to grab, but after reading those reviews, I just can't bring myself to do it.

Did pick up a few phenomenal golf deals last week though... titlist balls for $6 and a 16pc golf set for 39.99. So I bought a copy of NCAA Football '09 a few weeks ago for $14.98, which I've been playing. I found a few copies today at another Target for $7.49.I asked Guest Services if I do some sort of adjustment with the receipt to get the lower clearance price, which they told me they couldn't do.

Can I buy a second copy of the game, and then return it with my receipt from 8/21 for $14.98? Or, will they not allow that if the sticker on the box says $7.49? I couldn't tell if there was another sticker underneath to peel off so that it says $14.98.

Just peel the stickers off and return it using the $14.98 receipt. It should be as simple as that.

Lots of good price drops at my Target, I had thought they had already done the drops as I saw the clearance team scouring the area. Thankfully I noticed when they went back over to the games.

Managed to get Dead Space (PS3) for $7.48 (now to find the receipt for the one I bought at $14.98) and 50 Cent (PS3) for $12.48 (dropped straight from $34.98).

She came back and told me the game was going off clearance and "going to a normal price of $14.98" (which happens to be the next clearance price drop) which was really odd. They acted like I screwed up, even though it dropped. (still decided not to get it)

They also had Kingston 2GB SD cards for $8, I asked them to scan and she said it wouldn't drop to 75% as "no electronics drop to 75%"-- is this a YMMV or does Target really not go to 75% on electronics anymore? (and no, it didn't drop, and she warned me the next "drop" would be to salvage)

Well, the games you picked up or scanned, Xblades at 15, is the 75% price, unless your Target is excluding games from their "rule"
