This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Ditto, I checked out two Targets recently and one had plenty of Wii, DS, some PC, and several 360 games but no PS3 games. The other had the same but a few PS3 games (Terminator and some other game).
 
My store is kind of dry with all clearance games right now, with there being 20 to 30 games tops. The majority is PC, followed by 360, then DS, Wii and PS3. I think there may be 3 games total for PS3 right now. They actually haven't marked any PS3 games down in the case either, the only exception being Midnight Club.

After the last drop, to 70% or more, my store was pretty much wiped out.
 
Oh yeah. Went to Target because I needed food. Found NOTHING, just like 20-30 copies of some Petz DS game at 75% off and a shit load of Bratz games at 75% of for the PS2 (what's up with the z's?).

Best deal I found was.. 12 Target brand toaster pastries for $1.74. I ate two for lunch because the girlfriend was at work. LOL.

I'm not sure I'd believe it's for good; it's possible, but Target does sell software. Maybe not in the quantities that they do console games, but the PC games and programs do appear to sell at least decently in the stores around me.

About a year ago, the entire video game stock of my K-Mart store vanished - the cases, the accessories, everything was just gone. Two or three weeks later, it appeared on the other side of the electronics store, with everything intact. Wait and see - you never know what's going to happen. :)

I don't think I've ever seen a game drop in price by more than 80% in one go at Target - it's always a gradual process. I think the guy's lying (especially since nobody else has reported it), but what do I know?

I'm guessing that this is probably just coincidence, or timing of the clearance cycle. They stock more PC and Wii games in general, so it'd make sense that they'd have more of those on clearance.
 
Spotted a copy of R&C: Size Matters (PS2) at clearance for $7.48.

Heard bad press about the title as a port of the PSP version.

Do most ports of handheld games turn out bad?

Picked up one of the 1TB Western Digital external HDDs for $59.xx. They were around $89 last week. =O

I also saw X-Blades on PS3 for $14.98, but passed on it.
 
I picked up Wolverine (PC) today for $19.98 from Clinton Twp, MI, marked down from $39.98, but come here and see it listed in the OP for that price and $9.98. What gives?

Saw HAWX (PC) for $14.98, but someone a few posts up is claiming $8? Huh?

I went to a local Target today and they had an Xbox Live Vision Gold Pack that comes with the 12month subscription for 69.98. Thinking I scored, I went to get the price checked and it rang up as 69.98. The weird thing is, the system is scanning it in as the Xbox Live Messenger Pack, I'm assuming the 12 month pack with the chatpad. The subscription on the side says it expires 6/28/08, but we know thats not true. It even has the original UPC not a sticker over it placed by Target. So I guess Target just programmed it into the system as a Messenger pack. What do you guys think of this situation?
 
My store usually has a decent amount of stuff but almost dry this week. Was able to find dead space for xbox for $7.98 in the VHS aisle randomly placed.

The asshole is the guy lying about seeing Gears of War 2 for such a low price. Nobody else has seen anything like that, and with the odd price it was clearly just spam.

This newest update must be YMMV because only half of the 360 games listed here were clearanced at the 2 Targets near me. Mass Effect was "regular" price at $19.99 along with the 60GB hdd being it's normal $99.99. Scanned them at scanner and had employee scan them. Even tried saying "My friend bought these here and said he got clearance price on them, can you check to see if they should be clearanced"...Oh well didnt really need the hdd just thought it would be nice for my kids to have on thier 360 while i used the headset and Live card.
 
picked up Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters PS2 for $7.48 in Towson, MD today. There are no more left, unless they've been hidden somewhere
 
Has anybody noticed, have they dropped the Zune accesories another 50% yet? I'd love to grab an extra dock. Perhaps even an FM modulator/charger.
People can laugh all they want, The small 8GB zunes are VERY nice devices. Especially if you have the zune pass.

I will be checking my local stores today/this week. My brother bought the AV pack last week even though I told him to hold off for another price drop.

I've been happy with every Zune device I've owned, from the maligned brown 30gb Zune to the Zune HD :)

Just too bad they pulled an Apple & gimped a lot of the Zune HD's compatibility with some of the v1 & v2 accessories.

Nothing drop this monday at Target at Independence, MO and Super Target at Lees Summit, MO. If u insterest they still have 1 copy Prince of Persia (360) $14.98 (independence, MO) on the end cap where all the regular game $19.99 - $29.99 section.

XBOX360 Street Fighter IV was down to $19.9x.
They had at least 6 or 8 copies out.
 
Would be nice to get a Target deal once in awhile, everywhere around me is cleaned out or prices are not scanning anywhere near some of the listed prices. ;)

No, it's true! I saw Gears of War 2 for $9.99 at my Target. It was right next to Madden 12, Grand Theft Auto 5, Modern Warfare 3, Guitar Hero: Jonas Brothers, Guitar Hero: Poison, Guitar Hero: Winger and Guitar Hero: Kelly Clarkson which they were selling for $30 each. It looks like they're also dropping the price of the PS4 and Xbox 720. ;)

The clearance section here is shit. The bin is full of Boom Blox and Heavenly Guardian at 50% each. Nothing else. Quite literally at least 10 copies of each, the rest is all PC titles of which I had never heard.

We also have like 6 different keyboard/mouse sets on clearance, but they haven't had a drop in two weeks now. Waiting for the $200 Dinovo keyboard to hit 75% so I can keep that around as a media keyboard for a HTPC.

Don't be too jealous, our clearance sucks too. The only thing worthwhile is the copy of FO3 I mentioned and GH: Metallica, both of which there is only one of. Otherwise, we have like 3-5 copies of Kung Foo Panda and Harry Potter.

All Target clearance and clearance pricing is YMMV. I reported the 60GB hard drive clearance, but so far this was only at one store out of about 8 I've visited within the last month. This same store still hasn't clearanced SF IV yet. The OP just gives you a guideline of what you can expect...sometimes you'll find better, sometimes you'll find worse, and sometimes you won't find squat.

No game drops today, but alot of the PC accessories dropped. Webcams, harddrives, and laptop accessories. Picked up a laptop bag that came with a mouse and Targus cooling pad for $10...the cooling pad cost $25 by itself.

^I haven't seen any stores with Fallout 3 on clearance. My guess is that whoever posted that might have seen one of the expansion packs.

I checked both of my Targets and didn't see world of goo. That would have been nice to find for that price.

Man, those :pc: prices would make Gogamer green with envy. Although I would still probably take a pass in favor of the console versions.
