This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Federal way target in washington

Prince of persia last week for $15 friend and i bought the last 2 remaining.Today say the western digital my book 1tb external hardrives for $59.XX.Dynasty warriors 6 empires for $20 and not much else.
 
It's strange it looks like my Target added another bump to the discounts and started a $19.9x. Grabbed DW6 for that price and will wait for the $14 or under for the return/rebuy

The Mt. Laurel store has several copies of Street Fighter IV (360) at $19.98, which would be a pretty good deal if it wasn't for the imminent announcement of you-know-what. :p

Also there's one WD 1TB external drive sitting in the back at $59.98.

This is my first time posting anything on here so hopefully it hasnt been posted yet...

My younger cousin went into the Target here in Tomball Texas and they happened to have two of those Resident Evil Xbox 360s still in the back.....both were on clearance..for $205
 
if anyone can get me one of those WD 1TB hard drives I'll gladly pay you for them plus alittle extra or can look for anything you need by me.

Get this...I picked up Wolverine y'day for $20 and then saw here people were getting it for $10. Went to two stores today and neither had it, though I found F.E.A.R. 2 (PC) for $10 at one.

On a hunch, I took the copy I had and my receipt to a store near my g/f's and after seeing no copies, I pulled the copy out of my jacket pocket and scanned it and it came up $9.98. Took it and the receipt to customer service and asked for a price adjustment and was told they can't adjust clearance items, only sale items. I asked if I could return and rebuy it and the lady said yes, no problem.

ORLY?

After returning it, she THEN informed me that it would have to go back on the floor before I could rebuy it and since it was within a half-hour of closing, it wouldn't be available until tomorrow morning. WHAT THE fuckING fuck?!?!?!? She said I could call up tomorrow morning at 7:30 am when she would be there and she'd hold it for me.

Yeah, right, like it's not gonna get ganked by some stock drone. Dammit!
 
I swung by 2 Targets tonight. I saw shelf tags for PS3 Uncharted for $14.98.

Did I miss out on this deal? :( Did anyone pick up Uncharted for cheap recently?

Yeah a lot of patches came out and it also has trophies now, but to be honest if you really want to get Fallout 3 for the PS3 just get the GOTY edition which comes out in 2 weeks that has all 5 DLC packs ($50 virtual value) for $60.
 
I got Lips on 360 for $12.48 at the Manchester, MO Target.

As many others have had happen on here before with other clearance items, I saw Lips sitting with the Rock Band/Guitar Hero stuff with no tag on it and no price tag on the shelf so I took it to one of the customer-accessible scanners and it read zero. Had the lady working electronics scan it on her price gun and the last known price for it was $12.48.

Now if only Guitar Hero WT (which I got with 2 wireless Les Paul guitars for $22.48 last week at a different Target) supported the Lips mic! I mean come on Activision, Rock Band 2 supports it, your logo is on the ones sold seperately at retail (I'm assuming for GH 5;) why not patch WT to support it?!

Some stores will price match if they still have copies available, but only in that store, YMMV.

As far as not being able to buy it back, that's some bad karma dude. U step on a bug or run over a cat this morning? I wish you luck in picking it up -- at least she said she would try, which is more than many people would do.

Most people have been saying this across the board, but many of those same people keep mentioning that Broken Steel and Point Lookout were really the only ones they felt where the money was well spent.

I have about 4 Targets to visit tomorrow, most of which have been long since scrubbed clean. :headache:
 
Picked up FEAR 2 (PC) for $10, as well as Wolverine Uncaged (PC) for $10. Be sure to scan these in if they are marked higher. FEAR 2 was marked at $20.

Thanks, I think that the $15 main storyline will be more than enough for me. I have a habit of not getting too far into longer RPGs. Or should I wait to find it for the 360 cheap?

As long as it doesn't crash, and have framerate issues I'll be happy.

Well if you want to buy them seperate you can then. Broken Steel released last week on the PSN, and the other 4 come out over the next two weeks.

But then you're paying $35 plus the tax on the clearance copy plus two expansions. It's up to you if that's good enough for you or if you want all 5 packs.

I am by no means an expert on the PS3 version of Fallout 3, so you may want to visit its thread in the PS3 forum to make sure everything runs properly on there now. I just assume everything is OK now as I no longer see posts on the big 3 blogs about issues with the game anymore.

I don't believe anyone has reported getting Uncharted within the last few weeks at Target despite several people (myself included) reporting the $14.98 price marker inside the glass case.

I reminded her who I was and I heard her go and rummage thru the cart - it obviously never got restocked - and she told me she had it. Went and picked it up and wasn't too late for work, either. PITA, but got it done.
 
Nothing new in Stafford, VA. Wolverine dropped to $9.xx for PC but I had already grabbed it at another Target like a month ago for that price.

Keeping an eye out for the second Fallout 3 pack.

That's a bunch of BS. I hate it when the customer service does that Shiiit. I think it's some power trip they have. I've returned and repurchased something there on the spot. Once you return it, it's back in their inventory. And someone can purchase it there. That bitch just wasted your time for self pleasure. Shame what people have to do to make them self feel good.
 
Just checked the Target in Greensburg, PA. They had a bunch of copies of :360: Street Fighter 4 for $27.xx a couple copies of :360: Dynasty Warriors for $19.xx and some crappy Wii games.. Oh well.
 
Street Fighter 4 for $28 over 3 weeks now. Possible it'll drop down $14 next monday. Also, Super Street Fighter 4 (Updates version coming soon in Spring 2010).
