This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Finally broke my drought and found a good deal in my book.. Found a copy of Lost Odyssey and it wouldn't scan a total so they gave it to me for $4.98... "SOLD!"

Picked up a Storm Rocker. Not bad if you just want a seat. Don't count on the audio feature too much.

The wireless audio has tons of static thanks to the 900mhz radio wireless being used. For wire, it's OK, but I originally wanted to cut the cord. Also the chair has no "output jack" for headphone option; only input jack on the chair.

Mine sounds fine. Maybe you should try one of the other channels and see if it clears up.

has anyone seen the PS3 versions of Terminator or Wolverine go clearance yet? My targets all have the 360 and PC versions on clearance for both games, but noone has the PS3 copies.

Was in Asheville,NC today and made it into one target.... maybe more there but just checked one... had pretty much garbage for game markdowns... but they did have a very large quantity of markdown Trojans, kinda odd seeing those marked down... but then again target marks down just about anything...

Picked up a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse for 15.98, model s510. I bought it a few months ago from CC when they were closing for like $25. Also found some PNY 1 gig sticks for 4.98, there were a ton so I'm hoping they drop again.

Terminator was $24 for XBox, SF4 was $20 for xbox and there were a ton of them. Picked up Bionic commando for PS3 for $12.98.

Ive seen many XBOX360 copies the TARGETS Ive been too for $24.98 but no PS3 ones, I finally cracked last night and got a PS3 one on eBay New for $20.00 and change.

I saw 4 or 5 copies of Sonic Chronicle: The Dark Brotherhood for $10 at the Target in Georgetown Tx.

Sadly, I just can't stand the static. On all bands, the sound comes through fine, but there's ALWAYS hissing in the back. Drives me up the wall.

I'm so used to high end headphones that is dead silent when it's suppose to be even cranked up high.(amplified DT770 headphone for example)

EDIT: The boxes for these storm rockers are fairly thick(sorta cubic), so most likely they're on end caps. I found mine at an end cap in the furniture section; on the opposite shelf of the display unit. Also, they're greenish in box design.

On a positive note, I saw that my local Target got in Boomchairs again in place of the Shark rockers... Including the Commander chairs that are on the pedestal with armrests, etc. It seems that I picked up my 2 Shark Boomchairs at 75% off last year when they were clearing out the toys in the after Christmas toy clearance...

terminator was terrible, ridiculous amount of bugs where enemies would get stuck in walls so you couldnt kill them, game freezing etc. (PS3).. rented it despite the reviews with a free coupon... if it didnt have easy trophies i probably would have quit not too far into it

rent it for the $2.50 for a night at BB when you have a few hours and go through hard for the trophies

At my Target they usually don't use red stickers, they just toss them in an end cap.

You will probably never find red tags behind glass displays. They're usually at an end cap around the area. Likely caps being the end of the glass displays, 2-3 isles down from video game(toward the electronics section) or off to the other section of the store near the Music/PC games section.

The Target I go to always has them with red clearance stickers behind the glass cases. I have yet to see them actually do an end cap with clearance items, but that would make it so much easier for me.

Most notable were:
Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts $7.48
Sins of a Solar Empire $4.98

On Fifth St. there were numerous PSP EndWars and Need for Speed Undercover for $7.48.

Off topic, saw plenty of printer/scanner/copiers for 50% off. I've been needing new ink and it was actually about $10 cheaper to buy a new printer. Yeah for glutonous consumerism.

Also, digital photo frames were 75% off and plenty of other electronics were marked down compared with last week.
