This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

All the in demand games were on the clearance rack for 29+ and most of them were 41.XX here in Charlotte, NC. Not cheap enough for me. On a plus note, i got some desktop speakers for $5. No more swapping wires between computers for me lol.

Sounds like repackaged deals, which are very YMMV. Shame, I'd LOVE cheap MotionPluses.

Speaking of YMMV, Target has been selling blu-rays of The Omega Man (usually $15-20) for $10. I found one that, for some reason, had a clearance sticker marking it as $4.98. It still rang up as $9.99 in the price scanner, but I took it to the clerk and asked what the deal was. He just shrugged and said it was a pricing error (the sticker had obviously been applied with a gun) and adjusted it for me. Woohoo, cheap cheesy Charlton Heston movie in HD!

A couple of my locals have Fire Emblem for $15. I'm on the fence, not sure if I want to wait for $7.50 or just get the damn thing now. I've also noticed the abundance of Wolverines at $41.98. I'm going to ride that one all the way to $14.94, shouldn't be hard to find copies at that price point and I hear it's actually a good game.

I picked up Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and a lone copy of Terminator Salvation that someone had stashed in the game case all the way at the top of the case with only the spine showing. Still had the 34.xx sticker on it... Rang at 12.48. Not sure whether to play them or not... With Forza and COD:MW2 coming out, my scant gaming time will be loaded for a loooooong time...

Not sure if this is a good deal or not, but I was able to score Fable 2 for 19.98. I had a $10 gift card so I got it for 10.98. However, does anybody know if Fable 2 GOTY edition is making it's way over to the states and if so when? I'll keep my seal for now until I know for sure.

Today I picked up PC games Jewel quest solitaire $2.48, Sins of a solarempire $4.98, Grand Ages Rome $4.98 and a media rack to store my games $12.48 was original $49.99 I think. Oh yeah I found alone bluray copy of Igor movie for $7.46 it had an as is tag on it.

Managed to find a Guitar Hero World Tour duel guitar pack for 22.48 , and there were two more there as well. Only one had a red sticker stating it was 70 some dollars, and the other two were unmarked.

where's this? i wouldn't mind picking that up (for the 360). i'd like another guitar and i could honestly do without my les paul- the star power and orange button are spotty.

Got the Guitar Hero double pack bundle for $21.48. Can't decide if I'll keep it or return it. Gonna read some reviews and see what they say. I couldn't resist a $85 item for $22 though. They did have several on the shelf in Orlando, FL.

Target has looked many things up for me to return from a credit card... I have a baby and sometimes he outgrows/stops using something before we ever unpackage it... If so, back to the store and return it...

Target will do a receipt look up on credit card purchases. I was witness to this policy when I was returning a game and the receipt-less lady in front of me kept having card after card swiped trying to find the one she used. |

Amazon says the Platinum version will be released on January 12, 2010. I actually bought Fable 2 at that price this past Monday, but after I learned about the Platinum version from another user, I decided to return it and wait a few months.
