This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

my store had about 20 copies of Lego BAtman for PSP for 9.98 a few copies of INDY Jones and his staff something for 9.98, besides that there wasn't much.
 
Few PSP games ... all the computer games were gone which I'm dumfounded on where they went because there was a ton left saturday.

Did get a 12 month sub for xbox live for 35$ in a repackage deal (almost got 2 but when I brought it up there was no card on the inside :( ) came with a free t shirt to boot

Actually, I always called this guy "the Stashasaurus." Picture a waist-high tyrannosaurus rex, DS game clenched in its jaw as it furtively looks around while using its tiny forearms to lift up a display shelf to hide the game under.

...clearly, I think about this stuff too much. I actually ran into someone I mistook for El Hoardo yesterday, but closer inspection revealed that he had only taken two copies of Fire Emblem. I take two copies sometimes too. And he was cool enough to leave the third for me to find, so I got me a :ds: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for $7.48. Didn't see anything else of note, just waiting for :360: Wolverine to drop all the way to the basement before buying. Should be a few more weeks.

I can't imagine the disparity in decent sized metro areas with numerous Targets, I'd frankly either go OCD and not even realize I was altering my schedule to check them all on a timely basis, or more likely just focus on two or three and ignore the other ones for sanity's sake.
 
Picked up a Sansa Clip 2GB MP3 player for $12.48 yesterday. Someone had hid it behind the games.

Perfect for my daughter who will likely break it shortly after getting it for X-mas.

This is true, it can be a little maddening. I counted the other day and I think there's at least 8 Targets within 30 minutes of me (10 or 11 if I really think about it). At this point there's really only 3 or 4 that I go to unless I'm looking for something specific. I almost always end up with a Target soda in my hand by the end of my lunch break.
 
nothing of note at the three i stop into on my way home. :360: EndWar is still $20.98 everywhere, same with :360: GH Metallica at $41.98

it's weird- around here 360 games seem to be the most prevalent on clearance, then it's psp, wii, ps2, ds, and rarely ps3 and pc. oh well, good for me :D
 
i've been stashing games in the woman's panties section and this way i never pay more than $15 for a game and plus i love putting things in and out of woman's panties!!!!

What are the odds that Vizio mentioned is the reduced price in store? I'd be all over it if it is listed at the 225 dollar price. My concern is calling the store to check and then have one of them buy it before I can. Slight case of paranoia perhaps, but its a legit concern.

Is there anyway to check an individual stores price online?

I don't think that's right. The link you provided (thanks for that, btw) brings up a DPCI code of 008-09-1436, but the clearanced one should be 008-09-1433. It's my thinking that the version you've found is the replacement for the clearanced model, hence the clearance.

Just my $.02 -- spend them as you see fit.

This is the correct ASIN and DCPI - I checked my closest target and they found the item in their system, clearanced out at my store at $450, but his scanner said 2 other local stores had it - but he couldn't pull the price 'varies by store.'

Did anyone notice the 5$ off coupon in Guitar Hero 5 that is good on Guitar Hero World Tour. A very nice double dip if you can find the GH:WT for 12.48.
 
Is Boom Blox (the first one) for $21 + tax a good deal? I feel like its going to be cheaper this coming holiday/Black Friday season. Saw one at my Target today, along with a bunch of Rhythm Heavens for $8.xx or $7.xx. Makes me regret getting Rhythm Heaven at the Best Buy B2G1 DS sale, even though it was only $20 or whatever. It's trading in for $12.50 at Amazon right now. That's $3.50 profit a game. Even if I horded all of them, I'd maybe only make maybe $20.

and yeah to the multiple Targets question. I have two that I hit weekly, and two more than I hit every two weeks or so, and there's another two or three stores that I -could- hit if I was really intent on finding something and couldn't get it at the closest ones. The vexing part is that every damn store seems to be on a different timetable with regard to when stuff gets clearanced out. And only one of them has Rhythm Heaven on clearance, and it's still $15. Got fingers crossed for the $7.48 drop on Monday, that's another one that'll make an awesome Christmas gift.

I think of the stasher as more like Jeepers in Freakazoid. Sure he can work in daylight, but that's more because he's a pariah and no one notices him except to actively ignore him.

i think i've seen it (a couple copies) at the stores i visit to be $14.98 or cheaper. if they're not moving them and there's multiple copies, i'd hold off for another drop.

Anybody seen Call of Juarez Bound In Blood (Xbox 360) for less than $41.xx? Played the first one and although lots of people hated it I think it was pretty decent.

Was also wondering if anybody was able to find GTA Trilogy pack for the PS2 for $7.xx? Mine has it for $20 or $30 and it's the last one. Already have San Andreas for Xbox but would love to get the trilogy pack for $7.48.

I picked mine up for $14.xx and my Target is normally pretty slow to get prices updated, for example, mine has never marked down the NPC games and Rhythm Heaven has yet to hit the clearance area. So, if there are enough copies left and you don't mind possibly missing out on it for this clearance, I would say the game will probably drop lower soon.

I've played the game for about 20 minutes or so and it seems like it will be a lot of fun, since there are two games and everyone says the second one is a must, even if you have the first, I was happy to get it at the under $20 point. This way, I can eventually get both games for less than one, hopefully. I think the game is worth $22+ but, I think it will drop lower, if you don't mind waiting and taking a chance.
 
I don't know if anyone else had this, but the Target in Morgantown, WV had 3 32mb ps2 memory cards for $6.48 i believe. I had one in my hand then put it back bc my ps2 is adust collector for the most part.

I didn't find a vizio today at the one target I checked, but when I typed in the DCI or whatever it is, it came up as $450.xx

Same thing for me, kinda a little relieved cause i already got an hdtv a couple of weeks ago for $329.

This was a previous clearance price. The prices stop changing after a store sells out of it. There's a couple in my local area but in far off stores. I'd like to find out what their price is.

lolwut?..I was just at the Target in Hadley, MA they had one of the Vizio 32 inch TV's it was $399.99...the tag said "Temporary Price Drop"

Thanks for posting this. I may just have to watch and see if my Target drops the price on these. I have an 80gb Zune and a 16gb iPod Touch, but I was looking for a flash player that is on the cheaper side to tag along with me. $50 is a decent price, but it would be really nice if it went even lower!
