This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

They only had a PS2 version of the World Tour set at the Target I went to. I wonder if 50% is the last markdown for that before they salvage it.

Sigh, I've gotten spoilt by the $10-off 2 games coupon. I automatically subtract $5-off each clearance game when I was out last week buying. Now, I guess I have to scale back a bit to let my wallet recover.

I was SHOCKED to see that the end caps here were still decent , lots of PS3 and PC games but few Wii and DS games and no new clearence , was totally spoiled by that coupon but was thrilled to get wolfenstein after watching it hover around 41-29 area

That's the first I've heard of any of those games at these prices save Red Faction. Section 8 for $7? There's not much I won't try for $7!

Surprisingly though the clearance endcaps survived BF at my local stores. Scored :360: Mini Ninjas for $12.xx.

Hate how my targets love to put all the 360 games on clearance but not the ps3 ones..

PS2 version of World Tour is 59.99 at the Best Buys in Colorado not sure if it is a national clearance.
 
Picked up Section 8 on 360 for $14.XX

A few games had survived BF, Mini Ninjas on 360 was still $34.XX, unfortunately I don't think it will be around by the time I get back from spending Chrimbo in the UK, ah well.:cry:

Still some copies of Red Faction and Ghostbusters although both are still sitting at 50% off.
 
Usually a reader not a talker but i just came home from target in monaca pa.,got a red god of war psp bundle for 49.98,seen it on the shelf a while ago for 139.98,disappeared and then just showed back up still tagged at 139.98 tho.....needless to say it was the only one

THE COUPON STILL WORKS.

I grabbed 2x Wolfenstein (14.98), Red Faction (9.98) and Cabela whatever (9.98) all for the 360, and took them up to the register. As the lady was ringing them up, I remembered I had some coupons still in my wallet, so I handed the 360 one to her, figuring the worst that can happen is she'll say this is expired. But...she just scanned it, and it took $10 off!

So, YMMV on whether they look at the expiry date or not, but as of Monday p.m., the Xbox 360 coupon is still scanning and taking $10 off. Good luck!
 
Went to Target tonight. Saw one lone copy of Wolverine (360) marked at $29.98 but decided to scan it hoping it was $14.98. Scanned, sure enough it was $14.98 so I was pretty pumped. Then I noticed that the side felt open. Sure enough I check it out, open it a bit, and notice that the game is missing. What kind of a douche steals a clearance game? :roll:
 
Haha, why are you all buying Wolverine at 14.98?

I saw Section 8 for 14.98 as well as Wolfenstein, which finally dropped (and I finally picked up).

Thinking that the Singstar bundle was the PS3 version for some reason, I was really excited until I realized, fuck - it's the PS2 version..oh well. Still a good price. Does anyone know if the mics work on the PS3??

75% is the lowest that most games will go for most of us. Any lower then they are gone fast or been punch "out of system" and send it elsewhere. Although I did saw a copy of Lord of the Ring Online go to 90% once.

PS2 singstars look fine playing on a PS3 anyway, not much difference considering graphics aren't the key point to it. Also, the mics are all the same (until the wireless ones come out). PS2 mics = PS3 mics.

Then the story gets better. Amazon is totally undercutting me. I listed them last night, Ama had them at 59.99 me 39.99 I come home today and Ama is at 38.92 . Freakin jerks. I sell alot on amazon and Ive never been had a penny war with amazon itself. I hope its just a sale price and not the new going rate.

ah yeah, well I haven't really kept up with all the SingStar craze. When I saw this bundle, I just assumed it was for the PS3 b/c I don't feel like we're still in the PS2 age at all! But it's good to know that the mics will still work! and I have BC, so I'll give the disc a spin one day...
