Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, what the hell. Ima stop by a Target just for shits and giggles and to check up on clearance items, then pick up a pizza.

I wish I was enough of a Target Clearance Guru to know when/if stuff's gonna drop further. I really would love to bite on Metro 2033 PC at $24.98 and Prototype PC at $14.98, but I'm strapped for cash and hoping they drop just a pinch further. Though after tomorrow morning, I may not have another opportunity to check for an entire week :(

Though I did nab Drawn: The Painted Tower at $9.98, Dawn of War II at $14.98, and Sushi Go-Round at $7.48.

I got the xbox live card for $19.99 They called customer service, then a manager. They limited me to one card (tried for 3, one for me, two for friends) which I RELUCTANTLY accepted. They promptly took the instore ad down.
All in all, kudos to them for honoring it. My buddies may get pissed about not getting a card, but hell I can't do ALL their shopping for them!!

They likely won't drop until Monday, if then. Also, in my area at least, PC games are the most likely to stick around to 75% off. Console titles vanish quickly at 50% to 75%, but PC games are much easier to grab ultra cheap.

This.

If you're willing to drive around to a few Targets, you can probably find one at 75% off when they hit either this coming Monday or next Monday.

My store had a sign for $49.99. They've added a shelving system for their clearance items. I was surprised to see so many games. Unfortunately, nothing stood out other than what others have seen.

Went back to my local Target and bought another one for the same price $19.99.

Don't have a 360, otherwise would have picked one up. Great price!

I also find it amusing that the Legendary Edition box is larger than the one for the 360 bundle.

I'll be a son of a bitch... went to a different target tonight just for the hell of it and saw the in store ad. Long story short, 2 years of live for $40. Thank you for posting that!

Target in Bakersfield CA had Borderlands (I picked it up) and Bioshock for PC at $9.98, Bioshock 2 PC for 14.98, Lego Rock Band PS3 for 13.98, and they had some MGS4 but no price was on them. think I may go back tomorrow to see if its $10 and if so I'll nab it.

I don't want to turn this into a trade thread, but if someone wants to sell me a 12 month card for $25 Paypal Gift, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I can't take advantage of the offer as I work for Target. Technically I'm supposed to tell them about it so nobody gets the deal, but........ ;)
Anyone want to donate a card to me for paypal? I couldn't find it at any of my stores. :(
I would if I had the extra cash right now. My local Target had @ least a good 20 or more of these this afternoon.

Borderlands is amazing. I keep raving about it I know...

I'm really looking forward to playing through it. I was waiting to find a good price on the 360 version, but for $10 I didn't think i could go wrong.

I wanted to groove on Borderlands so bad. But this is neither the time nor the place. ;)

Today my Target's clearance shelf consisted of two copies of Dark Void for $13.98 and PES 2010 for $9.99. I don't know what it is with my city and its apparent resolve to never put anything on clearance ever.

There was an NCF 360 Arcade model @ my Target for awhile for $149.99. Looks like they finally sold it.

I also noticed today that Silent Hill :wii: was NCF. I realize this doesn't mean it's going on clearance next week or anything, but could be dropping soon. I heard that the game was pretty good.

Borderlands is surprisingly fun. Glad I got the game and all the DLC during the Steam sale. :D

Checked a couple of Targets today. Looks like they added a game or two to the pile, but no titles that stood out. They didn't drop any of the existing prices. I scanned several just to be sure.

Thanks EvilA... I was in a Target yesterday and wandered back to the Men's Clothing to see that they had marked down polo shirts down quite a bit. There were a few other things I wanted, but I figured I would wait until they hit either 50% or 75% off.

I ended up picking up two nice knit polos and some rechargeable batteries for the 360 controllers for 14.xx after tax.

P.S. FoS... Is there any way you could possible throw that list into the OP just for reference?

I must have a bizarro Target, seems like they lag when it comes to price reductions on certain titles, example when Batman Arkham Asylum got re-released, they kept the price of the first edition at $60 for several months before finally dropping the price to $40.

Another example, Bayonetta is $40 everywhere, yet Target seems to enjoy selling it for $60 :hot: They clearance the PS3 version for $30

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but about how long does it ususally take for an item to go to the next drop in price once the clearance cycle has started (i.e. from 30% to 50% off)? Or does it vary too much by store to be sure?

2 to 3 weeks typically, but it depends upon the pricing team at each store. They could drop it early and you miss out, or you show up 3 weeks in a row and it stays the same. Just get to know your store.

It definitely varies. I haven't done a total analysis, but it seems that the east coast Target go 2-3 weeks per drop and the west coast targets go 3-4 weeks a drop.

Not long, I bet you will find it for at least 75% off in 2 months.

Same here dude. I wonder if complaining on the national website would make the district manager make them get rid of those games? That is place them back on the shelves for MSRP or actually have to clearance them out! :whistle2:k

Just highlighting that bit so people don't ignore it. I was going to add that disclaimer, but I see you already thought of it. I've seen stores vary by as much as two days off this schedule, based on the manager of that location.

If you like to hit a store or two regularly, it's best to observe specific markdowns when they happen. And talk to an employee while they do them. They will tell you how the manager likes it done.

No new games spotted, but I got some killer camping gear for 75% off!

Stores near me have started Alpha Prot.
iconps3.gif
on the clearance cycle @ 41.98, so they're catching up to what others reported.

Found about 8 copies of WH40k Dawn of War II at $7.48. Picked one up as all the other stores that have it only have 1 to 2 copies and they're priced at about $21 over there.

Now the best find today, quite possibly my BestFindEver:bouncy:, has to be...

MAD DOG McCREE for $4.98, though it was the only copy.

Time to bust out the fake guns. What goes well with cheesy FMV and brews. Should I go with the Rabbid plunger, Nerf gun, or regular pistol grip
Not long, I bet you will find it for at least 75% off in 2 months.
Bet you won't. I'm pretty sure MS learned how many copies of their expensive edition to make this time, after Halo 3 Legendary copies were around years later. I thought I would pick up one of the COD2 bundles with the night vision goggles at clearance, but I only ever saw one copy of that, and it was at a Best Buy.

And don't expect to see the Halo Reach bundle around for long. Major Nelson stated that all the Reach console bundles that would be made were made; they won't be making any more. I know the Halo 3 consoles were on clearance at Hot Topic a year or so later.

I'd buy it for that for $5, just to see how bad it is.

And use a Rabbid plunger so you can shove it down the toilet if it is bad as they say.

(Hell, its history and might lend some perspective to remind you how good Dead Space Extraction is)

I wouldnt be so sure at $150 a pop thats pretty expensive.. I was at a Bestbuy yesterday afternoon and they had a pile of 24 of them stacked next to all the rest of the Halo games and consoles they were looking to move. The guy in the games department I talked to said they only sold 6 of them so far.. I wouldnt doubt these hit clearance in some places...

Went back to my local target to return some clearance titles a buddy didnt want.Last time i went there was a huge selection of titles although nothing major.well while i was waiting i saw Your in the Movies w/camera.When he tried to ring it up it was OOS. He just told me to take it to customer service and they would ring it out at the 4.98.They did but the lady was kinda pissed and said something among the lines of "i dont see why he couldnt ring it out back in electronics for you", me-"He was kinda confused" then she went on to say "probably because it wasnt suppose to be on the floor!" Anyhow i grabbed a couple, one for me and my cousin up in WA. Im actually liking the target clearances now. CAG'S ARE THE BUSINESS!

 Good Point! Plunger it is. And I've sincerely wanted to buy it for a while, only at MY price point. I really think it's going to be one of those titles that's so bad, it whips back around & becomes good.

Another DSE fan, right on!:D

Managed to find a target near me with naughty bear clearanced out to 12.48 but it was sold out. Hopefully the one that still selling it at retail clearances it soon.

I saw Dawn of War II for... I could have sworn it was $9.99 or $13.99. I almost picked it up, but I never touched Dawn of War 1, and that's been on my shelf for like 2 years.

Lucky! I said that if I were to find it on a clearance, i'd totally buy it, and at that price? Hell yes.

DoW II is the one I've been watching. MSRP was $29.99, so you probably saw it for $14.98. That's the price its holding at here. Just checked. I'm all over that if it hits $7.48!

Dummy question of the day: Can you return unopened clearance items? I'm pretty sure I've seen some of you speak of it before, but I hope you don't fault me for not wanting to wade through 147 pages to find out more. I'm gonna leave my 14.98 DoW2 untouched just in case it hits 7.48 somewhere. I assume it's a YMMV thing but I'd be interested in the responses here, horror stories, etc.
