Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

pc?

Nothing notably different in the Bay Area, CA Targets compared. I did see a copy of Fairytale Fights (360) for 4.98 at the Colma location. Only one left though.
Has any seen the Samsung 32" TV's on clearance at their Targets? It's something I saw someone on FatWallet point out on their forums but I personally have never seen. Curious if anyone else has seen this.

EVERY target around me has super street fighter 4 in for PS3. None for 360....odd... gonna run by one in the next hour

SSF4 for PS3 seems to be a no go. And I remembered y I ingnore this thread. Tulsa stores never have clearence on games

Hey why doesn't Best Buy do awesome clearance deals like TArget?

I tried to PM the $4.98 Super SF4 at Best Buy off my recipt but it was a no go. They said Ad only.

But another Best Buy manager may have a different opinion since its up to their discretion.

Stores usually don't match competitor's clearance prices.

also at tulsa, athe pc games everyone else finds cheap are still FULL price. Once again why I hate my local targets. Seems everyone beats their prices

Must be going to the wrong ones mate. I've found plenty.

Or someone jumped on it before you did.

Sheng Long is his El Hoardo.

Found a decent haul today in the South Denver area:

Metro 2033 12.48
Kane Lynch 2 12.48
Borderlands 4.98
Prototype 7.48

All PC

The Club 2.54
Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? 2.54

XBOX

This is definitely still YMMV at most Targets, most have those games for 50 % off, not 75% off.

Best buy has more real estate in store for games, so they don't have the incentive to clearance them like Target does. Plus, BB usually buys more copies of a game that Target, so there's more cost for BB to eat for them to discount games. At least that's been my experience.

Well, besides a bunch of misc Wii games, I saw Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for 360 at $13.9something and Prince of Persia '08 for 360 at $13.9something. They didn't have those two weeks ago. I wanted both, but I'm low on funds at the moment and I've got Guitar Hero to pick up tomorrow at Kmart.

Speaking of Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, they had it out already tonight at Target.

RE5GE (PS3) is $39.99 at target I went to. Might check a different target tomorrow. I kinda want to play that game again with the new dlc.

Do you mean you're not seeing the games at all, or they have the games just not on clearance? If they're there, are you having them price checked? Don't mean to be condescending, but I'm just saying, I know a lot of people get discouraged for no reason. Just a couple days ago I saw Burnout Paradise in the normal game section, however there was no price on it. I had it price checked and sure enough it was 13.xx.

Many places just don't update their prices. If you're not finding the games at ALL that's one thing (and probably means you either have a lot of CAGs near you or the employees are jumping on the clearance items), but if the games are there with normal prices always remember to price-check just to be 100% sure.

Some PC Drops around here in Southern California (Today was f...... hot, 110F).

Wolfenstein $9.98
Prototype $7,48
Metro 2033 $12.48
Family Feud Wii $19.98
HAWX Xbox 360 $14.98

Bioshock and Borderlands still 50% off (14.98 and 9.98). I went around Pasadena Stores....

Almost grabbed Madden 10
iconwii.gif
at $7.48 but passed. I remember this being the first version to go with the stylized character models. I figured they may have also thrown in some sort of arcade game mode. But I wasn't interested enough to find out.

Also saw Tiger Woods 10
iconwii.gif
hit $7.48. And that's pretty much the only changes I found for console games.

On the PC, I found Prince of Persia: TFS
iconpcwin.gif
at $9.98 and Splinter Cell: Conviction
iconpcwin.gif
at $12.48.

Depending on your situation, you may want to pass on POP and SC as they require that you always connect to UBI's servers to play (PC versions, that is).

On a side note, the store where I got Mad Dog McCree for $4.xx and DoW II for $7.48 decided to put out more stock of both games. Mad Dog was put in the game case and priced at $19.99 and DoW II was with the other clearance games priced at 20.98:roll:. WTF

I guess I'll never fully understand Target clearance.

I went to the local Target hoping they'd have Super SF4 PS3 on clearance, but they still had it full price. The girl working there was pulling a lot of PS3 games from the shelves though, so maybe they'll get marked down soon.

I did learn that if I use one of the UPC sites in the original post the price check scanner will scan the UPC from my phone's screen. Good to know.

Madden on the Wii is a travesty. Unless all you have is the wii, just pass on it. Madden 10 on the xbox or ps3 is probably going for $10 on ebay.

Got-
360 SW: Clone War Heroes or wtf ever...at 13 and change.
Ps3 MGS4 for 9.98.

Usually Ill buy damn near anything when its 10ish or less. Either of those worth keeping to play?

your kidding right???? msg4 is worth the $59.99 plus tax i payed for it....if your not into metal gear its worth the 9.98

Has anybody else found the Super Street Fighter for $5 deal? Or SSF on clearance at all?

That's one I'm definitely interested in as I'd never even pay close to full price for it since I bought SFIV and feel a little shafted by Capcom.

Are you sure about it being SUPER Street Fighter IV & nor GH normal SF4?

I saw normal SF4 on clearance @ my Target but not Super.

[quote name='MrYouTube']grabbed 2 copies of Super Street Fighter 4 at Target for $4.98

YMMV of course because as been said Target miles of each other in your same town may not have the same prices.

This was the Miami Target by the way.

Here is the Target inventory look up

Unless he was mistaken...

One of my local Targets is FINALLY starting to clearance a handful of games I want but I'm going to wait til they hit at least 50% off:

PS3 - Prototype -$20.98
PS3 - Green Day Rock Band - $34.98
PS3 - Guitar Hero Van Halen - $20.98 (I'll wait for 75% on this one )

There were a ton of clearance games on the endcap but nothing that hasn't already been mentioned in the thread and nothing unbelievably cheap.

Stopped by this morning, saw a couple things that dropped that caught my attention.

:psp: Army of Two: 40th Day 14.98

And those 320gb portable drives are down to 29.98

I'm still tryin to figure out if the drive actually has a sata drive inside it. Seen a couple reviews on Amazon that said a couple of the larger drives were sata internally, but nothing so far on the 320gb. I'd love to be able to gut 1 and drop that 320gb right into my PS3 and use the original 80gb as a backup, but not sure I'm willing to drop $30 to find out I can't. Can anyone give any further insight?

Edit: Guess it'd help if I specified the drive.

I went to 3 different targets... All of which had both SSF4 for 360 and PS3 none were below the $39.99 price tag. However 2 of the 3 targets had Red Cased GH SF4 PS3 Clearance Marked for $20.XX.

After today, I really don't have much confidence left in Target clearance here in Southern CA. The systems for the stores I go to around here are apparently too slow to keep up with the other area clearances that I've seen posted. These targets also still had PS3 games: Infamous at $29.99, Naughty Bear $49.99 and Prototype at $29.99..bleh...

Absolutely no luck today. Got excited when I heard SSF4 for $5, rushed over to both my Targets and all they had for clearance PS3 was Call of Juarez $13.98 and Lego Rockband (game only) $9.98
They still had everything else at MSRP :(
I never find anything at my stores

I wish Target would allow holding clearance items. One of the stores near me say they have one copy of Burnout Paradise at $9.98 (lower than other Targets' $13.98). Once I go buy it, I'll report back.

Just depends on the worker and how much they "tow the line". I've had plenty of workers hold clearance items for me.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I haven't found it on clearance, anywhere. Even checked the DPCI for both the 360 & PS3, but popped up at MSRP.

I'm thinking it's going to be a one-off, screwball clearance item at that particular store. It's like the PvZ L.E. that I found for 4.98 at one store.

They had a bunch available. Went back after a few days and they were all gone. About a week or so later I decided to punch up the DPCI to see what it would show. The system said they had limited inventory, but the price was showing as 19.99

Never saw PvZ LE at that store again, but now I'm finding the L.E. version at other stores (stores that never had them before). So I'm thinking the inventory was redistributed from that one place to a bunch of other locations.

Oh, I found a new item today... (the UBI fitness game for Wii) I think it's called Your Shape Fitness, at $19.99

Which 'Miami' Target?

There are too many Targets down there you could talking about.

I figured as much. No matter, they still had two copies of Burnout at $9.98 when I got over there tonight. They also had PES 2010 for $5!

This is the Target in Austin, TX on Great Hills Trail. If anyone's interested, for 360 there's one more copy of Burnout Paradise and a bunch of copies of Tom Clancy's HAWX for $15.xx. The rest was mostly Wii junk games, a couple of PSP titles, and that's it. I snagged the last PES 2010.

It's usually against store policy to hold clearance but hey whatever. We're not supposed to give cardboard boxes away to guests but if there's only a couple they want when I'm stocking something then I'll give it to them. I am not gonna go get boxes for them if they come sneaking through the stockroom. The only time I was ever asked to hold clearance by an LOD was when our store had an assload of patio furniture and had nowhere else to put it, but for all other cases I don't generally hold clearance. Of course, it doesn't stop other workers for holding clearance that they want, especially when seasonal merchandise hits 50% or more off.

If there's a game I want for later, I just hide it behind the norton antivirus boxes in the next aisle over, I've left a game there for over 6 months and found it when I came back.

When I went in yesterday, some idiot had bought up all the copies of Saint for Wii. They had been $10.48, and I was only waiting for them to drop because I heard it was a retro-style 2D shooter. Guess I'll have to pick up a used copy once it gets under $5 at Gamestop.
