Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There's a pretty good reason most people don't ... best just to assume that if you look hard enough and do the leg work eventually you'll find a good number of these deals at your local stores.
It would be nice if people would mention the locations of their targets.
I think most people don't post the Target locations in fear of El Hoardos or La Hoardettas going in and cleaning out those stores. If you really want to know where the deals were found, just PM the CAG who posted that particular deal.

Forgot to mention that I also saw:

:psp: Star Wars Clone Wars Republic Heroes $4.xx
:psp: NCAA 10 $9.xx

As many have said, posting locations just means that location gets totally wiped out in a day. Plus, the odds of the location really helping any active member of CAG (versus a random lurker, search engine link, etc) is pretty slim.

The thing with Target is it is SO EXTREMELY YMMV that the best thing this thread is for is seeing a pattern-- I've noticed that weeks that lots of people report drops tend to be weeks my Target has drops, too, and I know to get there early and plan to spend some time. Weeks without a lot of reports tend to be slow for me too. Maybe your Targets are on an opposite schedule or something.

Basically, this thread works best as a "head's up" for when it's a good time to check Target than a specific deal locator thread..

Wow. The MSs around me got cleared out before they hit that price. I got it for $10. I've only seen one NFS: Shift, and it was $20.

BTW, agreed to everyone's comments as to why we don't post our locations. You can thank El Hoardo for that: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=113313752034917

Not sure if this was clearence or if it's already been mentioned, but I saw at a few targets they had a Western Digital 1TB Hard Drive (external) on sale for $69, and no that's not the clearence part, but most seemed to also have a 500gb on "sale" for the same $69 (weird...) but one of the stores had those 500gb drives marked down at $48.xx with a clearence sticker (didn't scan them), so maybe those are or have been something to watch? It was the ones in the mostly white boxes witth the red/green/yellow decoration on the sides at the top. something like that).

Not sure if that's useful or not. :/
One of my target has the Acer monitor on display, rings up 159.99 though. Last one, has been around there for the longest time with none of the new acer or anything for sale. I'd really like to score this but don't think the price is going to change especially when they don't have any of them in stock at all.
You mean they still have the display model out there on the shelf, but none of the newer model in stock? The old model had an HDMI port right on it, so flip that bad boy around on the shelf and see if there's an HDMI port on it to be sure if it's the right one or not.

The main reason it's ringing up as $159.99 is that they probably switched out the shelf tag to the UPC for the newer one, which is still $160.

If you want to know what price the old one is at in the system though, have them check the following DPCI: 080-00-0167(think that's the correct one, not 100% sure though)
It would be nice if people would mention the locations of their targets.
I did that once when Baten Kaitos was super cheap on clearance at a Kmart by me. Every copy disappeared overnight from that store, so anymore when I find a gold mine store I keep the location a secret most times until I'm done cherry picking deals from it.
It would be nice if people would mention the locations of their targets.
It would be nice but the problem is the hoarders. If you need a location you can email/send a message to that member privately asking for the location. This is all "El Hoardo's" fault, damn him!:bomb:

Lego Indy 2 is a new MSRP drop and I can verify my Target had the 360 version for $19.99.

Matter of fact, that was the only thing I saw yesterday...and DJ Hero/Tony Hawk Ride had drops to the new MSRP of $79.99

Sony Blu-ray player dropped from $127 to $105 (30%) in one week...I'll grab one at $75 and cross my fingers it goes to $37!

Typically a few weeks before they release the new Lego game the old one goes to $20. The Sony Blu-Ray for me is still at 15% and one sold leaving one left. I don't see it happening that I get it for $75.

For the people who have the new layout. What is the consensus of the clearance location. Mine seems to have kept it on an end cap where it it used to be, just almost no games. I can't recall seeing a clearance game in the plastic holders, but is that the majority of what people are seeing?
i picked up the Sony MDR-NC22 headphones at my local target for 25 bucks, it finally dropped, but im conflicted on whether to keep them or not. I dont think I need the noise cancelling function very much, Im trying to find out online if they are decent headphones worth having or not, anybody here have an experience with them? Im keeping them still sealed for now...
I picked up these noise cancelling ear buds last year for$25 and thought that they were not very good.

I tried using them while cutting my lawn on a lawn tractor but could not hear the music above the tractor engine noise. I thought I might have a defective pair so I sent them in to Sony for repair/replacement. they replaced them with a refurbished set (I had a white set originally and they replaced them with a black set). No difference. The only benefit was that I liked having a black set instead of white but that is about it. Not terribly impressed w/ the sound when I can hear them. Tried them also on a plane because I read somehwere that they said these were only for indoor use. Did very little to cancel out the jet engine noise.

I tried them on the plane side by side with an old RCA set of noise cancelling headphones and the RCA's were much better. Now the RCA's are a medium sized headphone set, not ear buds and even with potential sound leakage due to the headphone contacd over my ears vs. the plugged in ear buds which should have better sound insulation, the RCA's still reduced the noise levels significantly vs. the Sonys.

So overall, I was not pleased with them. In your case, I would take full advantage of the 90 day return policy and try them out while keeping the original packaging saved on the side. See if they work for you. If not then return em.

Good luck.
Holy Shit, these things are still out there!? o_O
My target had two of these on clearance for $40-50 or so.

They also stubbornly refuse to clearance the 3 360 copies they have. It's only a matter of time...

Thanks
Figures. I need the 360 one.
I went by my store (Macon, GA) anyway and they did not have any copies in stock and the price is still $60.

Picked up a copy of :360: Call of Duty 3 for $7.48

Also spotted a non-PH :360: Fable II and :360: GH: Van Halen both for $14.98

The Sony BR player dropped to $104.98 at a few stores, which was encouraging. Also spotted a Sony surround sound system for $174.xx (from $249) on clearance.

Mine still has Fable II PH sitting at $13.98

Waiting for the Transcend USB flash drives to drop in price, my store still has quite a few 4gb-8gb models.

thank you very much for that response! how do they fare as just regular headphones without the noise cancelling function?

Easier way to reduce the outside noise with the headphones: BLAST THE MUSIC!

I've never understood how people can stomach paying more than $5 for a pair of headphones. They all do the same fuckin' thing.

But to each their own. If you think you hear a difference and wanna pay out the wazoo for them, more power to ya and thanks for supporting our economy.
Sounds like you've been blasting the music for far too long if you really think $5 headphones are as good as anything. ;)
Nah. When I'm listening to the little music collection I have, I just play it over my speakers in the car or my pc or stereo. So I really have no need for a pair of headphones at all.

But like I said, if others are ok with spending $100+ for a pair of them, more power to them.
just stopped by a target and they had an acer 21.5 monitor (display only) and it had a big white shelf sticker of 159.99 (with a print date of like 10/04/09!). when i scanned the tag it came up with something about 0.00 price (another target i was at the white tag rang up for 159). i didnt have time to check it attempt to buy it so i dont know whats going on. is there a way to buy it if its been priced out of their system or whatevers happend? thanks!
The monitor displays are not supposed to be sold. They come in as display units, not taken out of box stock. The 0.00 price means the item has gone salvage and won't be back.

An audiophile you are not...
An audiophile you are not...
You understand he doesn't even own a printer... I hope nobody listens to him for tech advice.

you don't even need to be an audiophile to understand that blasting the music does two things on a pair of shitty headphones:

1) distorts the music
2) ruins your ears

I'm a shure in ear person myself. It makes all the difference.

If you don't think there's a difference between a pair of apple ipod buds and a pair of shures, you have hearing problems and bad taste in music. (well, the latter is not logical but I assume anyone too dumb to tell the difference also has bad taste in music.)
Nah. When I'm listening to the little music collection I have, I just play it over my speakers in the car or my pc or stereo. So I really have no need for a pair of headphones at all.
ahhhh, so basically, you're talking out of your ass again.
An audiophile you are not...
Ah, give him a break...he just got his first HD monitor/tv this year. Baby steps.
Has anyone seen this for the 360 at this price?

Holy Shit, these things are still out there!? o_O
I am fairly certain that $19.99 is a universal price drop for Lego Indiana Jones 2. It is this price at all Best Buys now.

Man, not sure how I missed this (checked Amazon and Gamestop and they both show this price).

Guess I'll keep my eye out for a clearanced copy at Target.

I agree. Just because he's not an audiophile doesn't make him a bad person.

Of course, it probably means he's also seen a woman naked.

It's not the fact that he's not an audiophile, I tend to roll my eyes too when people start talking about the warmth of a record vs mp3s and CDs. (And I actually like vinyl.) It's the fact the he just talks out of his ass about stuff just because he's cheap.
Thanks
Figures. I need the 360 one.
I went by my store (Macon, GA) anyway and they did not have any copies in stock and the price is still $60.
I can confirm that some stores have :ps3: Bayonetta on clearance, I believe the 2 copies I saw were 14.98. I haven't yet decided if the flip to Gazelle for $23 per is worth my time (plus, I own the 360 version).
