Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Went to my Huntsville/72 Target the other day and no games were on clearance that I could see. They had also just switched to the new shelving system - didn't bring any UPCs with me to check.

I must say, I kinda like the new system. Seems like it'll do good to help cut down on theft (a couple times I've been there I found an empty case with no game in it there), it looks a lot nicer for browsing, and won't create "bothered employees" since I can see the back cover without getting someone to open the glass. I would think that these factors will make clearance better for all of us down the road, as there will be less theft and "hidden treasures" to cut their profits before they deem a price drop necessary.

I remember someone remarking that the new system made it so that games couldn't be hidden in the glass case behind another title, but they still can be - at least with this system, however, you can have a better peek as to what's behind any title, though.
Bass Ale on clearance, you say? *runs to the car*
Nice! I really get a chuckle out of clearance alcohol. A couple weeks ago I picked up a bottle of riesling wine at 50% off.
LittleBigPlanet GOTY edition had a shelf tag of $14.98. Sticker on game case said $29.99 though. It was in the prison and I did not have it scanned to see if that price is legit or a mismark. But the $14.98 shelf tag was in 2 different LBP spots (end cap and then regular PS3 aisle).

Not sure if this was already posted.
Actually, the 14.98 price was for the regular version of LBP, the GOTY has a different DPCI in the system and is regularly priced at 29.99. Caught my eye too, which is why I had to promptly cover it up with the correct label.

Who makes these label strips at corporate anyway. I feel like I'm always correcting their mistakes. I wish we could make our own shelf layouts without some corporate visitor coming down on us, then most of this stuff wouldn't happen.
Can I ask what store location?
it was the 15-501 store in durham, nc. I grabbed the only one they had.
Oh, don't get me wrong... it was clearanced, but it was still in the cooler. I have some standards... heh.

There were at least 7 or 8 different ones on clearance though. Negro Modelo, Bass, Corona, even some Bud products as I recall.

Now if only they would have clearance games again...
im really hoping that corporate hasnt changed there clearanced mark downs from video games to beer, i dont know whats worse, buying clearanced beer, or buying cheap clearanced games that i'll never play :bomb:

Buying clearanced Boone's Farm...run college kids, it's only $2.50 a bottle!!!
Nope, it's relative to the size, at least in CA. http://www.boe.ca.gov/sptaxprog/ewfaqsgen.htm

And it's a bunch of BS. For the amount paid every year by everyone in CA (and/or any other state with this stupid tax) it's still a pain to figure out a close and easy way to safely recycle any of this stuff. Seems like half of the convenient places charge you to take things (at least when I've looked into it), and then the "free" places are open every 4th Thursday from 8:30-9:15am. I'd love to see how much is collected versus how much is legitimately spent on recycling costs.
Probably LTTP on this, but Best Buy in Washington offers e-recycling. They charge $10 to recycle an item but they give you a BB gift Card for $10 when you do it. So you basically turn $10 into a gift card for your troubles. It is not free, but it could work out if you need to dump something and plan to purchase something at Best Buy.

Edit:
A retailer may retain 3 percent of the eWaste fee it collects as reimbursement for costs associated with the collection of the fee.

Dude, come on, you always pay for convenience.

There are usually free electronics / hazardous waste recycling events in every county about once a quarter. it's not too hard to just wait and take all your stuff at one time.

Picked up :wii: Imagine Party Babies $3.74

And stop all the Target liquor stories.

I live a few miles from the coporate HQ, but thanks to ancient blue laws the local stores aren't allowed to sell alcohol. :bomb:

It always makes me sad when I see Targets that sell booze, from the full aisles at Supers to even small stores placing it by groceries.

:whistle2:(

I was at work the other day and noticed we now have room for beer in the future. No wonder all this wine went on clearance a couple weeks ago.

Saw some new drops all for 360:
Darksiders $27.98
NFS Shift $27.98
GTA Episodes from Liberty City $27.98
Dark Void $20.98

I'm pretty sick, so I only stopped at one Target this week. The only games I saw were

:360: Left 4 Dead GOTY Edition $9.98
:ps3: Red Faction: Guerrilla $13.xx
:ds: Some Hotwheels game $9.98

Seeing the last few posts, I guess I should check my Target soon. I quit having my weekly Target trips a couple months ago as the clearance games seemed to disappear altogether for a long while.

Picked up :psp: FF Crisis Core and :360: Saints Row $4.98 each.

Wii Speak popped up out of nowhere since it wasn't available in this store before. Picked it up for $7.48.

Probably just a normal clearance drop. Mine has beer and wine, and probably about 30 different wine DPCIs went on clearance last week.
damn really ? Was that in Sundays ad ?
Sorry, a little late for the response, but no it was on clearance. There were about 12 or so 4 packs left when I got mine, I'm gonna try to go back tomorrow and pick up a couple more. Well worth the price.

My friend had a tv like that. The dvd player stopped working after a few months and one day it started smoking. Her's was a 19" Polaroid though so maybe you won't have that problem. I hope yours is a good one.

Hopefully that won't happen, I tried to look up reviews of it but it seems like it might have only been sold at Target. Good thing Target's return policy is 90 days.

DAMN. Their site lists it as $699.99. WTF!?!?! Who is gonna pay $700 for a small LCD tv?

Anyway, I didn't see much in the way of clearance last night at one of my local Target stores. They had 2-3 Blu-Ray players on clearance($170 something), a couple PS2 games and 4 copies of Bioshock 2 LE/CE for $39.98.

Hmm...well the wines used to take up one whole aisle and now it's been cut in half to accommodate the beer. *shrug*

And El Hoardo took my Stouffer's family size enchiladas. I was hoping it would hit 2 bucks or something.

I was hoping the big plastic bottles of margarita mix woulda lasted till 75% off cuz I planned on making virgin margarita with it since I don't drink alcohol. But some El Hoardo swooped in and grabbed up the 20-30 bottles that were on the shelf. Now the only ones that're left are the narrow glass ones and those are still $3-4 something at 50% off.

Who woulda thunk that IATCG was a tee-totaller? :D

There isn't crap at any Target I stop at right now... A couple of games at each.
:ps3: Red Faction - 13.98 is the only one I remember.

No other electronics or anything worth mentioning.

didn't get to go to target, just walmart :( nothing their either

not enough calories. gotta maintain a 6000 calorie a day diet.

I'm going to have to immortalize a virginrita chuggin' earbuds-from-an-original-Gameboy El Hoardo now and put it up on the FB fan page.

Oh man, you kids gotta get out more often. haha.

on more of a CAG note.

stopped by my local boise target (eagle/chinden) and like everyone else. ZERO clearance games other than some PC crapware. Buuuuut.... I did stumble upon 2 shopping carts full of clearanced boozy items. Margareta mix, wine, other drink mixes.

I didn't pick up anything cause margarita's hurt my stomach. but if anyone in boise wants to get some, there ya go!

Stopped by Fairlakes, VA and nothing of note on clearance unless you want Saints Row for $4.98. Did notice an Xbox Arcade for $140.01 as a repackaged deal.
Alcohol killed dad
Well, I think on that note this thread should have a moment of silence. Boys?

So I got this last weekend and I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it. I know ION makes the Drum Rocker for Rock Band, but I also know that it's possible to use other e-drum sets in Rock Band if you have the right equipment. A quick cellphone search said I could use this one for that, though when I actually viewed the website that said so at home, it was for a different model.

Basically I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about these, if they are worth keeping, and if there is indeed some way to get them to work in Rock Band (on 360). They are the ION Sound Session Drums (IED11), and I got them for $49.98. I haven't opened them yet because I'm going to re-buy them with a $40 giftcard; anyone know if it rings up at a lower price when I do, if they will give me it? I assume it's YMMV, but I figured I'd ask

I would check with the Rock Band forums about this. You could have something very awesome here. I wish I had this :D

While not a games deal...a Target not far from me had a shooting INSIDE THE STORE @ 11 am or so last Sunday morning.

They guy walked into the store & shot & killed his ex girlfriend whom was a cashier while she was ringing up customers. He then turned the gun on himself.
