Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Saw Wii Mario Power Tennis and Wii Madagascar Kart Racerz (w/wheel) for $20.98. Saw PS3 Gran Turismo Prologue for $29.98 I believe. Trying to remember what other Wii title I saw, it was about $29.98 too. Saw Wii Van Halen for $19.98, but there was something else that was newer...
 
Alright, no worries. I didn't expect anyone to buy it here, but I thought that it was listed as rare by some and if somebody wanted it for their collections I would let them know. I didn't mean to spread any ill will. I'll let you guys know if I return it to the store, then you all can go looking for it there.
 
dude its rare at stores that clearanced it. ive seen just about everyone here complain that target is still selling it for full price. my target has a few plastic prison slots packed with copies of the game. just take it back, no one wants it at targets price.

HOLLY HELL $60.00 + Shipping when the game only retails $49.99 at full price and has started to be clearanced for around $34.00. Glad I got my copy at TRU with the 25% clearance and 20% coupon for a total of $26.33. I thought CAGS were suppose to help each other not screw each other over.

Saw my first 85% off game today. It was Motorstorm Arctic Rift or something like that for PS2. Didn't pick it up though since I don't have a BC PS3 or a PS2.

Saw 2-3 copies of Metroid Ptrim Trilogy at the Peachtree City, GA store, $35 on the clearance end cap. Don't have a Wii, not interested in making a buck on it, so they might still be there.

I really do hate used games. (which is why i do love target so much.) One time I bought a game at GS to flip to BBV. I think it might have been like Dragon Ball Z: Tenchai Bukake 3 or something. I take the manual out to check it (not that BBV really cares) and there was a pube in it. WTF PEOPLE.

Now, there -- there's a way to make sure no one buys the copy of MPT that you want.

Aw man...did it actually ring up as that, or did they have to manually enter the price to match the tag? That's the same price I saw it for last week like I mentioned earlier, only it still rang up regular price. I stopped by again this evening just out of curiosity, and the GH5s were restocked, and the tag was corrected to be $39.99.

I don't see a problem with what dug did. He bought it to resell. Ok, good for him. The only issue I see is he has it up on ebay and amazon at the same time. What if he sells them both at the same time. Dude only has one copy. So he risk getting negative feedback from one of those sellers since he only has one copy.

Dude, don't be dumb. Stick to one site for a week and see if it sells.

I saw last night the Fallout collection for PC, and Braid PC in the local clearance. They had 2 Wii games, and the Sponge Bob.

I consider myself lucky to have found one of the $34.98 copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy at my Target today. It was the last copy that was not the display model. I should have picked it up from Best Buy back when they had it for $19.99, but by the time I made it to the local store, they were sold out. This is the next best thing barring that by blind luck I find one of the Toys R Us clearance copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy for $39.98 (with 25% off so actual price is $29.98).

Thanks for the heads' up on the Thermos grill. Got the last one! Also got a bubble mower for the little guy for $13.22.

360 version of Bayonetta was full price. They had a lot of the other 360 games on the clearance list, but they were all locked up in the plastic prisons.

However, i'll reply to your reply. IATCG bases every trade he does at fair market value. As do other cags. So why single this person out? You're telling me if you have a FO3 GOTY guide that recently pennied and is hard to find, you're going to settle for $.1 and shipping cost? No, you're going to trade and get fair market value IN YOUR EYES. So this guy wanted $60 bucks, thats fair market value. MPT may still be easily found with some work, but its going to disappear within the next 6 months. $60 will be a bargain by then. If someone really wants it, find a target that has it for the clearance price and find a target that still has it for full price. Buy it for full price and return to target at clearance price location. Go next day (or try and rebuy right there and then) and rebuy it. Thats what I did. Required 3 trips but I got my $34 Metroid Prime Trilogy game. I'm not going to pay $60 + down the road.

Target in Snellville, GA had a bunch of MLB The Show and Brutal Legend for PS3 for the prices listed in the OP. Also saw a couple copies of GTAIV: Episodes from Liberty City for PC for $20.98.
 
Hit about four targets today two had nothing at the other two I picked up Xbox360 Two Worlds $13.98 and at anonther Xbox360 Ski-Doo Snowmobile challenge $4.98. Also Today I saw Bayonnte and Rogue Warrior both for PS3 for $29.xx
 
Yeah, I was utterly shocked to see a PS3 Bayonetta tagged at $14.98. I only saw one copy and it was a surprise as I had never seen it on clearance at all before that. Plus I was surprised to see anything on clearance since they got rid of all their clearance games when they changed the cabinets. The good news is that they had some other stuff and it was back out on an endcap. The other stuff was garbage that I can't even remember at this point except for Mario Power Tennis at $20.98 I believe...

And yeah, I just did a massive cleanup of this thread. Please stop all the off-topic discussion of flipping and reselling and marking stuff up to sell to CAGs. Thank you ;).

Picked up two copies of Brutal Legend X360 at $5 bucks. Also got NFS Prostreet for $5, but it wasn't clearance marked.

My best grab this year besides the $60 Halo Reach LE, was a big ass 3-piece glass table set clearanced for $50, down from $200. Target is one of the few B&M's still staying on the up-and-up, I'll be checking around more often, and not just the gaming section.

Ridiculous clearance deals in the outdoor section. I always chec in toys, games and outdoor sections now, because I almost always find something good.
