Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
I was at the Poway store and Alone in the Dark and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader (360) are both 13.98.

But there were a bunch of toys for 75% off. I helped myself to an Iron Man 2 bobblehead and some other toy for my nephew. Prince of Persia toys were also 75% off.

Yesterday I found some Lego Racers 75% off at my store for 3.74. The set in question is Chopper Jump 8196. Guess I got lucky since our store just finished inventory and sometimes clearance like that shows up.
Yea, San Diego targets are mostly crappy for drops. I did find my copy of MPT in... either Vista or Encinitas though. Since you're already up north, you should check those.
Oh snap. Holy horrible merchandising ideas, Batman... yet for $3.74, I don't think I'd be able to pass it up. Haha.

It's Tony Starch. How can you go wrong?

The Exton PA target has a copy of GH Smash Hits (PS3) for 9.98. Tried scanning it, but it didn't seem to be eligible for the gift card though.

Also some 360 Tekkens for 20ish, along with some DS games.

That Tony Starch Mr Potato Head aint got shit on Tater of the Lost Ark or Opti-Mash Prime. Id bet on Opti-Mash Prime in a straight up 3 way fight tho.

On Topic - No deals at my 2 local targets......the drought continues

Nice catch today - checked an out of the way Target today and was able to find the 3rd (gray ODST) Halo Mega Blocks figure, so now I have one of each. Weird thing is that 3 of my Targets still have them at full price, and 3 targets had them cleared for 75% off. Go figure.

No game at any of my Targets.
About 7 copies of Super Paper Mario & Pokemon Explorers of Time/Darkness.
i need to get a copyy of Super Paper Mario, that game is not really in stock in many stores here.

may i ask where was this target ?

I stopped by one of the local Target stores again. Most of the open box tv's were gone. The only one left was a piddily Polaroid 15" for $75.

I picked a small speaker set from Vivitar that can be powered by a 6volt adapter or batteries to try and set up some external speakers for my monitor I have my PS3 on for $3.97.

Other than that, they had 2-3 copies of Tekken 6:360: for $27.98, about 15 or so copies of Planet 51:wii: for $13.98 and various other odds and ends.

Those losers couldnt win a fight against Darth Tater. He'd use his starchy force grip on their bitch asses and finish em off with his high-carb lightsaber.

I find it funny that we are talking about Toy Clearances since the gaming clearances have been crappy lately.

However, in the search for Tony Starch, I found some of the McFarlane Prince of Persia figures for $2.49 a piece.

I'm wondering if there will be another Paper Mario drop tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't be able to check until Thursday @ the earliest as I'm optionally working 15-16 hour days this week to catch up on bills (and to bank a few extra $$$ towards this habit most of us here have).

Madden 10 PSP is supposed to drop tomorrow. That was the only thing videogame related that showed up for price changes tonight.

That is the least of my wants on the current group of clearance games, but thanks for the info.

I got Sega Superstars Tennis (360) for 4.98. It was in a plastic prison for about 3 weeks and the sticker price was still 13.98, which is unusual for video games. Luckily, the price scanners allowed for manual input of DPCIs and when it showed up for 4.98 I did my best Marv Albert impression and bit on it. El Hoardo also left a copy of Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader in the toys section but it was still 9.98.

I've seen several copies of Madden 2010 PSP and Super Paper Mario Wii for around 30% off. Not a great price drop, but I definitely recommend Super Paper Mario as a fun game if you've not experienced it yet like games in that genre.

I'd love to find that for $4.98.

I'd love to pick this backyardigans one up for $4.98. maybe we'll head to target on wed my day off.

Picked up Tiger Woods 10 (360) for $7.48. This title counts for the trade 2 in get $40 off Madden 2K11, if you were looking for a filler. Exton, PA.

They also had Dark Void (360) for $13.98 and Tekken 6 (360) for $9.98.

My Target's days of great clearance titles are long gone but I still check from time to time and had to laugh at the stacks of Call of Duty for PS2 they had.

Do you have the DCPI number(s) please?

Saw a few copies of MLB '08 The Show last Saturday.

The game was $9.98 and eligible for $20 GC promo according to the wall mounted price checker. But the free GC deal didn't work when ringing 2 copies of the game up at checkout.

well it turns out when you search for a product on Target.com and click on said product underneath Additional Information it gives you the DPCI along with the ASIN

EDIT: saw op and that DPCI's that begin with 241 cannot be checked in store. Please disregard my post :D
Is Tiger Woods 10 a universal clearance for $7.48 or is it a YMMV? :bouncy:

I don't want to drive out of my way to target if it's a YMMV.
All Target clearance is YMMV. The only way to know for certain is when someone reports it at the store you're going to.

Tekken was reported on clearance in certain places 6 months ago and only recently hit clearance here.

On a sad note, i went out looking for Tony Starch today and did not find it.
Saw 15 copies of MPT today, still at $34.xx. Been there for over a month now :whistle2:(.
Wow! I checked the target online finder for games and not one within 100 miles of me has the game.

Ive even gone out to 4 or 5 targets within my area just to double check and nothing. Most of the stores where I live get sniped rather quickly.

Tekken 6:360: 9.98
Call of duty world at war :wii:9.98
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood :ps3: 9.98

All at Fairfield Nj target

If any one has seen Gran Turismo for the ps3 in the area shoot me a pm

I saw the Resistance 2 LE for PS3 at my local Target today marked $40.98.
I scanned it to see if it would come up cheaper but it said "Item not found"....?

Ended up getting Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for PS3 for about $12 after using 2 $5 gift cards I had saved up.
