Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
My Target's clearance section has been pretty cleaned out for a while now. There used to be an abundance of video game titles (granted, many of them were Wii shovelware), but not so much. Saw a damaged box Bayonetta, Tekken 6 and Red Faction Guerrilla all for the PS3. But that was about it.
I am having the same issue at the Target I work at. I usually wait until games are 75% off but it seems that people think 30% off is a good deal so they buy them up. It's sad, we used to have a lot of good deals but not anymore :(

I finally picked up the Prince of Persia 6 inch figures from one of my Targets. I'm a sucker for McFarlane stuff. I'll probably pull them out of the packaging and put them on a shelf in my video game room. It's not like they're going to go up in value. May as well enjoy them out.

I wish I can find some deals over here in Southern California. Here, there's nothing you can get. I on;y find some crap from PC games but nothing about Xbox, Ps3 or Wii....

Video game section locally was utter crap, though Tekken 6 has dropped to 9.98. I have lost hope of ever sighting a MPT around here, but I saw a used copy for 39.99 at FYE. Ebay seems to be too expensive so maybe I can get one of you chaps to help me out...

Welcome to Southern California.

Found the area in the store where they keep their clearanced video games at one of my local target stores so I'll probably be frequenting that store for now on for good deals. I was on the hunt for Brutal Legend but the four Targets in my northern DFW area were all out so I ended up getting it at BB for $10.XX with the reward zone coupon.

Does anyone know if there is a specific time of week/month that they mark games down? I heard something about first fridays but not sure.
Well its still $9.99 at Gamestop until 8/8
Thanks. Good think I only looked at Dark Void and bought Prince of Persia (The Forgotton Sands)for 19.99.

Dark Void is still a decent buy for $9.99... Game isnt perfect but gets more negativity then it deserves from reviews,etc.... Kinda similar to Dark Sector which I love.

I never saw Tekken 6 below MSRP at my local Targets, and now they're all gone. I was on the fence on the game, but I would have paid $15 or less.

All stores around Fredericksburg, VA have been crap for quite a while now. Was hoping to grab Tekken 6 but they all disappeared before getting low enough.

As a fan of Tekken, I think the game is worth MSRP. As a CAG, given that the game came out last October (not to mention, already having multiple copies for both consoles), I wouldn't bite unless I could get it for less than $10.
Where in Dallas Jankee?
The East Garland store at Garland Rd and 190. Someone pointed out that every gamestop has it for 9.99 until Aug 8th.

Looks like Target Video Game Clearance deals are almost dead.... In Southern California (LA, San Diego), you can't find a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy.... just some crap from PC Games and Wii....
Looks like a lot of cleaning supplies/paper towels went clearance at my store.
haha, any deals from video games to report from your local Target?

I dont even bother anymore, no matter what it is at any store, the employees usually get before it hits the shelves, or the many hoarders get it first, Oh well .....
haha, any deals from video games to report from your local Target?
Earlier post saw Madden 10 was the only new drop. MLB The Show is now 19.98, I think all the Dark Voids are gone, and 5th Grader is still 13.98. I'll keep you guys posted again this Sunday as usual.

was stunned at how incredibly awful the target clearance section was. I hadnt gone on a run in a long time, but I literally saw only 1 copy of Alone in the Dark for 13.98. That was IT for any games on any systems.

I also hate the new video game setup. Seems like they're just trying to fill floor space. Its definitely better than the standard glass case, but its still a drag. Went to one at 8am (open) and was gonna get the new PoP as its 19.99 (non-clearance), but no one was back there and the two people I asked said they'd get someone and never did. Just left. Will grab it tomorrow when Im on the other side of town at another Target.

2010 has been awful for me clearance-wise. (Richmond, VA btw)

It's a graveyard at all the Targets I go to now. On the upside, I saw 400 copies of personal cooking DS so maybe things are looking up :p.

You should go price match at BB and get your reward zone points...anyone who bought POP at Target this week is silly.

So the tour hit your city now.

About two months ago there was a mountain of Personal Cooking games at one store. They sat there for two weeks, then vanished.

Never saw them again anywhere else.

Yeah, it's really worth going out of your way to score 20 RZ points and $20/$150 toward gamer zone. Sure, it adds up, but this definitely fits in the category of waste of time.

Metroid Prime Trilogy only $25
Sticker says $35 but it still rings up as $25
YMMV (took last copy from a Super Target in Tampa)

Haha awesome. I think they're hoping one person buys a copy then it moves on to the next target.
You have to take into account that it was sold on 2 consoles where previous installments in the series were only on one. Companies will always spin the numbers to look better for their stock holders.
What's the difference? A unit sold is still a unit sold. The company doesn't make less money cause there's two consoles. Plus, most people don't buy for both consoles so the fanbase is still huge.

When I went to grab my pre-orded copy of this turd the guy in front of me ordered a version for each system as well as purchased both of the guides.. I had to shake my head at that.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I sometimes buy multiplatform, especially if it's cheap and especially if i know i can trade one in. Then I keep the better one.

But for the most part, people don't do that.

I'm not sure how things are in CA, but in Texas, where there's a Target there's a BB half a mile away at most so in my case it's niether out of the way or a waste of time. But I took advantage of the $15 off gamers club coupon when it was on sale at BB two weeks ago and got it for $15 plus tax.

Picked up a You're In The Movies yesterday at the Alpine GR, MI store for 9.98. I know it is listed in the OP as 13.98 (6-20-10) but I thought it had been listed lower since. I figured for $10 bucks the vision cam was worth it to help me get achievements in some games that requested a Vision Cam.

Picked up 2 copies of MLB09 the show for 9.98 each at Target near Aventura, FL. They were tucked away from the normal video game section next to a pc games display. Looked to me like once those were gone there would be no more clearance. This store had a end cap of clearance and now a portion of a shelf.
