Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

We already know that video games deals on Target are almost dead, but which section is getting better where we can find crazy deals as we did before...???

One of my local Target's has 2 or 3 copies of Tekken6 on clearance for $19.XX on sticker, could be less in system, I may go back and hide one seeing as how they are on a seperate unprotected shelf and wait for the price to fall further before I make my move but I have a couple of questions...

A) is that a shady thing to do and
b) where is a good place to hide

I feel like a sleez just asking

Do they sell puzzles at target? That always seems like a good place to hide things behind, stores rarely reorganize those sections. I hid something at toys r us in the puzzle section, and it was still there 6 months later.

No story behind it, I've just used the word for years. Like confoosious said though, the definition is just a quote from the urban dictonary.

Is Alone in the Dark any good? I picked up a copy this morning and have read some reviews (which have been pretty bad) I think I may end up returning that one, unless someone here changes my mind.

The controls suck ass. Easy gamerscore points though.

if you paid $5, IDK, I say keep it b/c it's an epic fail of a game. I've said somewhere on here before that I couldn't get 10 minutes into it b/c you have to dodge this fire while hanging from a rope in the very first scene, and for some reason I could never dodge the fire. Two factors played into this: it was late at night, and I probably already met my 3-drink minimum for that night..
i played it for PS3, its def. worth $5 dude...keep it
PS3 version is the only version to play since they fixed many of the problems associated with the 360 version.

Nothing new on VG's. Same titles that have already been mentioned.

I did buy a You're in the Movies bundle for 4.xx. I figure I'll try it out for and bit, then sell/trade it unless it actually turns out to be a fun game (doubt it).

Tekken 6 and MLB 09 are sold out everywhere save for one store that still has them ringing up at 19.xx and 27.xx, respectively. All the other stores sold out during the Target sale where those two games qualified for the gift card promo.

Non-gaming, I picked up three Reebok 2.5lb weight plates @ 2.xx each, an Invisible Glass reach and clean tool @ 3.xx (I can finally clean the inside of my windshield w/out some janky stick and towel), and found a Transformers Robot Heroes board Game for 4.xx

By the way, another reason to hate so-cal clearance, NO clearance on BBQ grills:bomb:

EDIT: Saw something funny as well. Stores have been clearing out Fallout Trilogy (PC) for a while. Well a couple of stores now have a new box version Fallout Trilogy and they're priced at 19.xx. Everything looks to be the same, save for the new box art and the higher MSRP.

The new box art is using some darker, blueish colors which immediately reminded me of the Starcraft battlechest colors and iirc, the MSRP on the old box set was originally 14.xx

It's just funny to see them carry a higher priced version of what looks to be the exact same thing they just got done clearing out.

That should tide fans over until Fallout: New Vegas. :'(

lol my Target had 3 copies and they rang up at $19.99 too . Target in Stockton, CA has no clearances worth mentioning in any sort of positive sense. They do have a pair of Bioshock 2 CE for 360 but still ringing up at $70.

I stopped by 1 SF Bay Area Target tonight.

:360: Alone in the Dark $4.xx
:360: Dark Void $13.xx
:wii: Planet 51 $12.xx
:ps3: MLB 09 The Show $9.xx
:ds: Transformers $7.xx
:ds: SpeedRacer $7.xx
PC Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising $4.xx

For me, there hasn't been any clearance games worth picking up recently.

For DS
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen $7.95

for Wii:
Mario Power Play Tennis $7.95 - going back to pick this up tomorrow as I see it's worth 450 goozex points.

for PS2:

Carol Somebody's Sudoku - $2.95. Tempting but not even worth the trouble it would be to get rid of it at that price.

You don't get rid of Carl "Somebody's" Sudoku...

Carl "Somebody's" Sudoku get rid of YOU!:twoguns:

Target at the Waterfront in Pittsburgh... sigh... the games have been all redone, and there were zero games clearance to be found. Hope they were just cleared out temporarily because of the change in the space.

Bought a Super Paper Mario for $12.48 and a Wii remote charger for $7.48. Was pretty surprised to see Super Paper Mario, as it came out of nowhere and went straight to $12.48.

Has anyone used those Psyclone chargers? Do they work as advertised? I normally hate 3rd party chargers and think they're pointless, but I'm also tired of having to drag the remotes out of their WMP+ condoms every time I need to charge them. (edit: read a bunch of issues with their first generation chargers ruining Wii controllers due to overcharging, and were recalled due to fire risks... makes me not necessarily in a rush to try this new one out)

Bummed that the MLB 09's sold out at both my local Targets during the gift card deal; wasn't anything else I was interested in combining it with, though.

The only clearance items I saw were:

PS3 Madden 10 - $20.98 - Probably about 20 some copies
PSP Madden 10 - $10.98 - 1 copy
360 Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader - $13.98 - Probably around 8 copies
Wii Guitar Hero 5 - $27.98 - 3 copies
Wii Sonic and the Secret Rings - 13.98 - 1 copy

All look like beginning 30% off drops, except for the Wii Guitar Hero 5 and possibly PSP Madden 10.
Carol Somebody's Sudoku - $2.95. Tempting but not even worth the trouble it would be to get rid of it at that price.
Carol Vorderman. She's Britain's version of Vanna White, and she's quite brilliant at puzzles and math.

This is exactly where I decided I couldn't continue to play this game. I did keep playing for another 15 minutes though, until I got to fighting bad guys and gave up because of the controls. I just dont have enough patience.
Thanks for the replies guys, I guess for $5 I'll just keep it. If I end up hating it, I'll give it to a friend or something.
Thats right, if its bad enough that you dont want to keep it for $5, give it to your "friend". Must not be a really good friend! :bouncy:

My Target has been pretty slim pickins for the past few months, but I snagged Personal Trainer Cooking DS for $4.9x yesterday.
:bomb:DEALS GET WORSE EVERY MONTH!!!. Never any deals here in So Cal tagets anymore.
Have we pinpointed El Hoardo's home territory?

I ended up seeing:

:360: Alone in the Dark - $4.98
:360: Karaoke Revolution - $9.98
:ps3: Guitar Hero: Smash Hits - $5.04
:ds: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness - $8.48

Picked up Red Faction Guerilla (PS3) for $4.98 today. Was in the aisles in those new setups. Was the only one there and it scanned as $20. However, the employee had seen the sign and gave it to me for $5.

Also saw those Punch Out (Wii) bundles for half off and a few random DS and Xbox 360 games for 30-50% off.
I found Alone in the Dark (360) for 4.98 as well as Bioshock 2 Limited Ed. (360) for 34.99 at my local target.
Not bad.

I found Alone in the Dark (360) for 4.98 (didn't get it, i cant get past the metacritic score)
I picked up Tekken 6 for 9.98 (i had not yet gotten a fighting game for this generation)
I don't even bother to go to any store over here in Southern California... deals looks almost dead...
Yeah almost dead 8-[

Stopped in the Frederick, MD Target yesterday for the hell of it. Saw:

360
Alone in the Dark $4.98
Bioshock 2 SE $34.98

PS3
MLB '09 The Show $9.98
Bioshock 2 SE $48.98

Really bummed the PS3 Bioshock set wasn't cheaper - would've grabbed it in a heartbeat otherwise, regardless of how bad the spider-wrap was mangling the outer box....
