Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

hey haven't been in this thread for a while now, do they still do clearances on mondays? I know every store is different, but majority did them on a certain day iirc....
Wow, I was already looking at targets for a copy of MPT, now if only the website lookup was working right now I'd track down a copy and drive there now.
That inventory checker thing hasn't worked with clearance items ever since I subscribed to this thread.

I was impressed with the selection at a Target I visited recently:

:ps3:
Metal Gear Solid 4 $13.98
InFamous 20.98
Naughty Bear $34.98 (I don't know if this is really a deal, but I thought it funny since it only came out ~2 months ago)

They also had Dark Void and Alpha Protocol on clearance, though Protocol was over 40 yet and I wasn't interested in Dark Void. Eventually decided to pick up this though:

:psp:
Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines 9.97

Too cheap NOT to buy.

:360:
Orange Box platinum hits $13.98
HAWX $20.98
Where the Wild Things Are $13.98
Burnout Paradise platinum hits $13.98
Fairytale Fights $13.98

:ps3:
Ghostbusters $14.98

:psp:
Army of Two 40th Day $20.98
Clone Wars Republic Heroes $13.98
NCAA Football 10 $13.98

:wii:
Island of Dr Frankenstein $9.98
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 $14.98
Fast Food Panic $14.98

:ds:

Bioshock 2 $14.98
Same thing at my local Bay Area Targets. Does anyone know if the employees see the current price when they look up DPCI numbers? Maybe they're stealing all the deals when we ask them to look for DPCI numbers!
LOL you give Target employees way too much credit, for even being interested in Starcraft II!

scored punch out wii w/ nunchuk for $16.xx, smarter than 5th for $4.xx 360, fairytale fighters for $9.xx.. saw wii music for $12.xx, TNA impact for DS for $20.xx

If you look up the item and no DPCI is listed, you won't be able to use the search on that item. You would be better to go to an employee at a register or with a hand held scanner and get them to search for the DPCI in your area. This is on the page for MPT:

ASIN: B002ATY7JE DPCI:

This is on the Ghostbuster :ps3: page:

ASIN: B000ZK7ZK8 DPCI: 207-24-0244

You can search for GB but not for MPT.

Well I checked one target earlier today(before I heard about the new pricepoint) and they didn't have any in stock but said it was clearanced out at their location for $49.99 so it didn't even make it to a discount at that location. Gonna check the other 3 local targets tomorrow.

Picked up Punch-Out on the Wii with a free Wii nunchuck today for $16.48! SCORE! There were 2 left as of this morning at the RW, Texas store.

Saw a bunch of Infamous for $20.xx and Hawx for the 360 about the same price. I also saw Alpha Protocol hit clearance. Still about $40.xx but at least the clearance endcap was back in some force.
picked up dark void (xbox 360) for 4.98
So did I. I know it's not suppose to be a great game, but I'm sure it's decent enough for $5 + massive California sales tax. :)

That MPT was a fluke. I went looking for it in the area 2 months ago and luckily found a copy @$35. I never saw another copy even though I have been to that specific Target two or three times since then. They must have found it in the back and thrown it out. I'm not sure why they sold it for $12.50, that must be the lowest clearance price. I thought that when an item wasn't in their system though that they sold it for the 'last price sold.'

Either way I walked out very happy, especially after finding the Punch Out with nunchuck for $16.48 earlier. Too bad I couldn't find a SCII LE :( One of the best games I've played in a while, I would really like to find a copy of that somewhere on clearance. It was too hard to justify the $100 cost when I just got SC Battlechest a few weeks before for $10, so I just got the basic release.

I've seen alot of the aforementioned clearance at the Target stores around me except for Naughty Bear!!! They are all 49.99 at the 5 stores I checked!!! I want this, but not at full price. The only store that may have clearance them out hasn't had them in weeks.
As a side note, I noticed that Target had certain Trojan and Durex vibrating rings marked down to $5.xx.:bouncy: Also, they reduced the size of their deodorant section with nothing going on clearance as far as I could tell.
Bloodlines is terrible! Return!
I disagree. I picked up :psp: Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines for $9.98 and am enjoying it so far. Admittedly, I am a huge fan of AC 1 and 2. It's not super polished, but worth 10 bucks if you are a fan of the franchise. I also saw :360: Dark Void for $4.98. Is this worth it despite the poor reviews?

I really think you will find Naughty Bear cheap in the very near future... you might consider buying it used at GS as then you would have 7 days to get your $ back...

I haven't been to Target in awhile (especially after the redesign of all the electronic sections at all my local Targets). Here's hoping I find something of substance.

I'm gonna hit up a few stores today hoping that I'll find a Punch-Out!! with the Nunchuk for cheap. Last I saw one was at $32 but haven't seen one since on my side of H-town.
I also saw :360: Dark Void for $4.98. Is this worth it despite the poor reviews?
I've played it before and it's actually not too bad. For $5, I'd take it. I may have to look for that too.

Saw it near Albany New York the other day and it was at $45 with a destroyed box. Good luck on finding a cheap one ...
I've seen Bayonetta PS3 for $14.98 and Dark Void 360 for $4.98 in Chicago Targets.
Buy Bayonetta -- excellent game, regardless which system it's for.

As for Dark Void, I'm interested, but I'd rather add the $5 towards a much better game. That, and given I have less and less time to play now, I want to make sure my gaming time is spent on the best titles.

Have high hopes for Enslaved and Vanquish :)

Didn't have time to search for the target thread, but stopped by to pick up a humidifier filter for my son and saw this box in the clearance end cap. Picked up one was tempted to get another if money weren't so tight. Can't beweave it's this price. Cag it up guys.

Was at the Front Royal, VA Target today...

Are You Smarter... (360) - $4.xx
Bakugan Battle Brawlers Collector's Edition with NAGA Collector Bakugan Ball (DS) - $12.xx

But the hot deal of the day was the adult size beanbag chair (black) for $.9.xx. Bought one for my daughter, who finds them to be both comfortable and hilarious (not sure why... she's 14 months old).
Have high hopes for Enslaved and Vanquish :)
Personally I'm hoping that I Am Alive makes it out before 2012, but the way it's looking I sincerely doubt it. That was my #1 game I was really hyped for and it got pushed back an insane amount of time.

As for Enslaved I'm gonna take a wait and see approach to that, since I almost always end up hating those 'apocalypse/wasteland' games.

Agreed about Bayonetta. And Enslaved looks amazing. I just hope that people actually buy it this time around unlike Heavenly Sword; an outstanding game that not enough people played (fell under the "it's not God of War" curse :whistle2:x)

I found my Punch-Out!! w/ Nunchuk today at the 249 & Jones Rd Location for $16.24. There were 3 more left if ppl wanna snatch them up.

I'm jealous about Punch Outt!! Would totally pick it up @ that price if anyone had it.

As for Heavenly Sword, I never got a chance to play it but have seen others play it and it looks like a great game (and hey, I have a thing for female protagonists who wield giant weapons).

I'm actually sort of glad HS failed, though, because that fact turned Ninja Theory into a 3rd party developer. Otherwise, odds are Enslaved would have been a PS3 exclusive, and I only have a 360 and would be dying to play it :)
Saw Kayne and Lynch 2 on PC for $12.xx. That was quick.
I went to 3 stores in the Dallas area today. One had it at full price, one at 50% off ($24.98) and one for 75% off ($12.28).

I saw Wii Music for 12.48 but passed. Instead I bought 16 Lego Minifigures from the Halloween section. Earlier in the week, I was able to find a 360 version of Naughty Bear for 12.48 to flip to Amazon for 22 something. The TIV is now 18.75 as of this post, so it's still worth an effort if you find one for that cheap.

Wasn't on clearance, but Target had Dragon Age Origins for PS3 and 360 for $30. I picked it up for the PS3. And it's not the expansion pack. Its the actual game.

Saw Dark Void :ps3: $15
Bayonneta :ps3: $15
Tekkan 6 :360: out of system
Wii Vanhalen out of system
Pokemon Dungeon thing for DS out of system
GT 4 Prolog :ps3: $10
Tiger woods Golf $10 for wii
Army of 2 for PSP $20

And a bunch of crap wii and DS games nothing I cared about. This is Central NJ.

Yeah, 201 02 0734 there is your Department class and item number. Last time I had someone ask me for a DPCI was a salesfloor team member when I worked backroom at a Target 4 years ago.

I know this is veering off topic, but which minifigs did they have in the Halloween section? Are they the blind packaged single figures:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/geek-kids/3-7-years/d587/

I picked a couple up at comic con this year, but didn't get the ones I really wanted (zombie or luchadore)

Ive been waiting for the damn Punchout bundles to drop.Theyve been 30 something for 2 weeks and Monday is my local targets clearance day. Im really hoping.Seeing all the talk about them is making me anxious.
