Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I think you may be too, got my copy from BB and after 15 min had to drop it. Then again I like Naughty bear and can play it for hours. I won mine from a contest, so guess games are better when theyre free right?
 
Got a 9.98 Greatest hits PS3 Assassin's Creed. I've waited a looong time to try this series.

Most everything else I saw was reported here already.

No drops at my Target, all games are holding still at 50% off. I did grab an Orange Box at $14 though, that was new. Waiting for AvP and a bunch of other PC games to drop from $14.
 
I actually went out looking for Naughty Bear PS3 and found someone's Madden 10 PS3 stash a few isles down under a rack, it scanned at $7.48...go get yo shit!

I put it back in the bargain bin with the others, I would have bought it if I didn't own it already.

Naughty Bear was ringing up at $49.99...WTF?!?!
 
picked up Naughty Bear (ps3) and star wars the clone wars (360) for 4.98 each :D sadly someone snagged all the copies of ghostbusters that i've had my eye on, pretty sure they dropped to 9.98 yesterday.
 
Snagged Ghostbusters (PS3) for $7.48, Tiger Woods 10 (Wii) for $7.48, and NCAA Football 10 (PSP) for $4.98. Saw Alpha Protocol for $41.98 and passed until it goes lower. I was on the lookout for Naughty Bear, but didn't see a copy.
 
Target baffles me. How can most stores still have Naughty Bear at $49.99, and then another store marks them down to $5? I understand they are all independently operated, but still...

yeah no clue, went to 2 different targets in my area, one had it for $14 while the other had it for $5. Also one had Alpha Protocol for $41 while the other had it for $30.
 
Finally, the Target on Biscayne Blvd(FL) finally got clearance back! And boy, was there a lot. I only paid attention to PC/PS3 though.

Bioshock(PC) - $13.xx
Call of Juarez(PS3) - $9.xx
Alien Vs Predator(PC) - $14.xx
WD 60 GB HDD - $50.xx

Can't recall the rest, but they were mostly 360 and Wii games.

The only copy I saw was still on the display shelf, with no more behind it, could have been the only copy left.

I used the UPC database and scanned the barcode on my phone before I went on a wild goose chase, told me it was on the shelf.

I was more surprised only one copy was left at such a high price, can't believe people paid full price for this game.

Probably won't drop at my store.

I found someone's stash too, I normally look under the movie racks, all kinds of people were looking at me like I had issues or something, it was the thrill of the hunt. I just put their stash back with the others.

...wait, no, I was getting that Target confused with the other one, for some reason (I am relatively new to living in this area). So the Target A MILE DOWN THE STREET FROM ME had it and I somehow failed to notice... ow.
 
worth getting Madden 10 even if 11 is out now? Havnt played a Madden game this gen, does the online community still have a lot of players or do most jump to the new one?
 
Just got back from trips to the Franklin, TN target, the Hickory Hollow Target, and the Brentwood, TN target (you know, just in case)... no trace of Punch-Out at any of them. And I've been going to these stores EVERY day I've been off. Damn it. :(

I did pick up Alice in Wonderland PC for $4.98 though (Franklin), just to make the lady chuckle I guess.

I havent seen any up here in Rivergate or Hendersonville either.
 
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I was at my local Target last night (Hudson, WI) and saw a bunch of copies of Metro 2033 for the PC clearanced at $12.54 each. I did not pick up a copy, but I think I may go back tonight and grab one.

Anyways, I absolutely LOVED Metro, despite some frustrating flaws, and I'm hoping that it wins something for game of the year because it really deserves some merit and recognition.

Its tied with Darksiders for best new IP, imo. Don't think its as good as some of the GOTY contenders, like mass effect 2, super mario galaxy 2, god of war 3, or any of the great games that will be coming out the rest of the year, but it'll definitely win some awards. At least it sold well enough for a sequel, if nothing else.

I have not played Darksiders, although, I'm assuming based on your comment that it is a very good game! ;) I now plan to pick it up for the PC when it releases tomorrow!

Still $24.98 all around here. I'm hoping to find it at half that, but every store I've been to only has one or two copies, so I'm none too optimistic.
 
Also, I know this doesn't necessarily belong in this thread, but I picked up a brand new copy of Bioshock 2 LE for PC at Best Buy for $20 clearanced! :D I'm not sure if this is something that all the Best Buy's are doing? as I only was at the one. Just a heads up though to anyone to keep their eyes open.

If you're not hardcore into football, then yeah, for a cheap price, go for it. I would miss out on the new players, myself, cause I'm anal about roster additions. The so called "improvements" from year to year are minimal. You'd only be missing features that alot of people have hated. Online, I know EA likes to kill their servers quickly, but I'm pretty sure 10 is still up till around the time 12 is out. No idea if it's active, cause I play mostly franchise.

I saw Naughty Bear for PS3 for $12.48. They have a dozen for Xbox360 for $49.99. I had to have an employee check the 360 price.

Tony Hawk Ride for the Wii for $10.04...not a repackage either. Got 2 for nephew xmas gifts as my kids had a little fun with it. They had a couple of PS3 tagged for $10 also (didn't scan to make sure though), but the 360 version was still $49.99? Why can't I be lucky enough to find a legendary Reach for $10?
