Wanted to leave early last night. My partner in Blood Bank cut me off and went to ask first. He got shut down because two people ahead of him had already asked. At least I got the satisfaction that he had to stay until 11:30 like the rest of us.

I don't know what else to play. Maybe Alan Wake.

Got the Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon in really good shape for $10. The clerk said he put it out just 5 minutes before I walked in. Also picked up an original pressing of the Allman Brothers Band At the Filmore East with a beat up cover for $4.
 
I haven't played video games for like 2 weeks or so, I think. Maybe a little COD. :lol:

TBH I don't really want to drive home this weekend (4 hours on the interstate wtffffff) but there's this girl that I want to hook up with so I mean I might as well go take advantage of that.

I'm probably really late with this since you saw fuck Buttons/Pixies last night, but how early I get there depends on the band and the venue they're playing. For Smashing Pumpkins last week I went an hour early and got to the front easily. Most shows I get there about a half hour before doors open.

How was the show?

I dig the composition and the lighting and the leather inking, but it kinda looks like she's pooping the jewels...

Yeah, on the color version you definitely need more separation between the static color and the highlights, even if it's just a bit of rim lighting.

Yeah, the shitting diamonds thing was one of those things I didn't really notice until it was pointed out to me...now I can't help but notice it.

Pixie says she wants to take a stab at coloring my stuff. (Hell, I'm not even using a mouse, but a trackpoint, so anything has got to be better!)

The major thing with the Pitts is confidence - my lines aren't as smooth as they should be because I'm going too slow with them. Once I get into the flow, that should clean up a little...I hope.

Go get a couple extra of just the brush pens, and try to use those to entirely ink a piece. You'll get a lot more confidence once you can do that.

Good idea. Been thinking about picking up some grey markers, too - but it is so hard for me to take them to the cashier with a straight face because they're labelled as being for manga drawing.

I put it off getting these for so long because I never had the time to stop in Michael's - even though I pass one every day. Wish I had sooner: lot of hot moms in there and I was like the only guy in the store...

I don't think I would get the job if I looked for urine on craigslist. I never thought of posting about it though. I'm sure that'll get some neat responses.
 
It's funny going through old threads; i have no memory of posting this:

I had to go to walmart because our microwave died. (Only to get home to find out it wasn't the mcirowave, just a fuse blew - which was okay, because the mike has been making orange sparks anyway.)

On the way home, there was the funniest thing: A scrawny, pale guy driving a white minivan bumping "Straight Outta Compton" by NWA.
It would have been a lot funnier if it wasn't me.


And now, for the "questionably bad dad" award of the night:
As I was opening the box containing the microwave, Juggerbit asks me what the tool I had in my hand was. I replied, "This is a box-cutter, buddy; you can kill over 3000 people with one of these and a few friends."

Tact and good taste have no place in my home sometimes...
