Was your list based solely on wrestling/athletic ability or did you factor in other things like work ethic, mic skills, charisma, etc.?
Was your list based solely on wrestling/athletic ability or did you factor in other things like work ethic, mic skills, charisma, etc.?
My list was based on a lot of things. Things like ability, charisma, mic work, gimmick were all judged. Also i tried to take in concideration on how much i liked someone during a specific gimmick. For example Papa Shango, Kama, Godfather: I loved the Papa Shango gimmick as a kid and thought it was bad ass. hes a terrible wrestler but since i liked his gimmick so much he placed higher on the list. On the other hand i hated the godfather gimmick and the kama gimmick so those also factor in my decision. If that makes any sense.

Updated the list to see if i could make it 200, holy shit was that hard.

JBL has given notice to WWE, and his final TV appearance is scheduled to be the 10/6 Smackdown taping. JBL is doing well as a investment banker, and doesn't want to travel to the weekly Smackdown tapings.
Something tells me that this is also due to WWE telling him to tone it down on his comments.

Also, Zen, from the comments on the last page, it's not Taboo Tuesday, it's Cyber Sunday. At least that's what the email I got from them telling me tickets will go on sale soon said.

It's at the Riverfront Coliseum US Bank Arena this year. When do tickets go on sale?

Have you checked out the Ring of Honor lineup for 10/27? You ought to check it out (and there's a 25% off tickets sale through Sunday).

I would most certainly mark out if JBL suddenly turned up in TNA. Hell have him replace Don West on PBP. That would own. :D

Come on TNA..... Mike Tenay and JBL on PBP..... it just makes too much fucking god damn sense!!!!

September 30. Ticket prices are $175, $75, $50, $35 & $20. I'm guessing the $175 are floor seats, if so I'll go for the $50. I've never been to a WWE event in cincy, I always go to the ones in Dayton or Columbus since the seats were cheaper(plus lately Dayton & Columbus have gotten more TV events).

As for ROH, I might go, if I have any money left after a $280 electric bill.

Also, don't know if it's been mentioned, but Vince Russo going back to TNA's booking committee is not TNA's big surprise this sunday. Speaking of the booking committee
Jarrett has booked Lex Luger & Buff Bagwell in matches during Impact's taping monday

What a great idea. Given who they just rehired, it would make sense to do something stupid like that.

TNA sucked last night. A good match or two, but they just need another hour, and less JJJ. With the talent pool they have, why is Norman fucking Smiley on TV? Is Monty Brown a worse promo than Johnny Nitro? Why do they let wrestlers on TV saying "I won't rest until you're DEAD!!!" when it's just a fucking wrestling show (and you know they'll be teaming together in the next 8-12 months)? Where are Sting and Scott Steiner? AMW? Alex Shelley? How could they let the angle with Nash drop? Jackass 2? Why do LAX try to come across as bad guys when they make so much sense in explaining their frustrations?

God, what a fucking bullshit show. Terrible, terrible, terrible. What wasn't terrible was predictable. Here's hoping the new bookerman has some great ideas. I, for one, won't hold my breath.
wow at that spoiler above.. so we will see them on tv soon?
From the sounds of, yes, we'll see them with the next set of impact tapings meaning sometime within the next 3 weeks.

There was a phrase that was popular about two and a half decades ago, when those fuckers were popular. I feel it's fitting today.

Gag me with a spoon.

What a dumb fucking move. I bet Sting put Jarrett up to it though. Rick Steiner got more of a pop than both of them combined earlier this year so why does TNA think they are going to draw? If you are going to reach to the past, go for someone like Scott Hall who can wrestle and the WWE would like to have. Plus someone like Scott could help out the younger guys and tell them how to cut promos. A lot of the things he mentioned about TNA in his interview are true and with his guidance could be fixed.
That's when Scott isn't drunk.
That hour a week that Hall's sober? Still a better wrestler than either of those two other fucks, and a more worthy investment.

Honestly, what the fuck are they thinking? I can just see their meetings right now:

Jeff Jarrett: You know who the public wants to see? LASH LEROUX!
Dutch Mantel: (Incomprehensible Blathering Like Yosemite Sam)
Jeff Jarrett: Right. AND Jim Neidhart!
Vince Russo: It's been a couple of years since Arquette's been champ. The crowd would never see that coming.
Jeff Jarrett: (Clutching onto his belt) Hmmm...how's his ring rust?
Vince Russo: Who gives a fuck? It's gonna PUT ASSES IN SEATS! By the way, can you say NWA TAG TEAM CHAMPION TONY SCHIAVONE!?!?!?! Because I can!
Dutch Mantel: (Incomprehensible Blathering Like Yosemite Sam)
Vince Russo: Horace Hogan and Van Hammer you say? I like the way you think.
Jeff Jarrett: So I go over Joe on Sunday, right?
Vince Russo: I know they we're friends, Jeff, but I gotta do what's right for business. Of course you'll go over. And then you can feud with Robocop, Chucky, and Kevin Sullivan.
LOL @ black and whiteing anything with blood.
It's weird cause when Raw & ECW aired it, it was in full color. Maybe it has something to do with it being on cable instead of network TV?

As for the show, it was okay overall. If no one has seen Jimmy Wang Yang in a match yet, prepare to be bored. I saw him in a dark match against Tatanka back at the WWE vs. ECW show back in june. It was a freaking bore fest with Yang winning at the end after 4 minutes of boring chants.
Oh well, JBL may not have been the most tactful guy but his controversial comments and antics were at least entertaining.
Yea, he was a hell of alot better than any other announcer WWE has had in a long time... certainly better than those stupid fuckers King and Lawler.

JBL had a hell of a run in the WWE... he was one person who completely changed his entire gimmick and the fans went for it. Not many people can do a complete 180 like JBL did.

If I was him given the state of WWE, I'd go with investment banking too.

Agreed. JBL was about as far from the APA gimmick as you could get and he pulled it off.

I don't blame him for getting into investment banking either. Why work on the road all your life when you don't have to?

Strange to see him kind of follow his gimmick as a sucessful businessman

I remember when I started watching wrestling again and saw JBL, and someone told me it was Bradshaw, I didn't believe them for the longest time.

I wonder if he's going to blur the two worlds together for a while...

"WHAT?! The Dow Jones is down 20 points?" (clotheslines his secretary)

Isn't TNA's PPV tonight? I'm still on the fence about ordering it.

Actually he's not retiring as commentator, McMahon fixed it to where he fly "Air McMahon" after the taping to make sure he makes it back to NY on wednesday.

As for No Surrender, yeah, I think it's Goldberg. Either that or they're announcing they fired Scott Steiner.:applause:

I don't know if Goldberg is ever going to return to the ring.

If TNA forks over the money, he might. He has a family now, if I'm not mistaken, and the light schedule could work out well for him, as well as keep him in the public eye.

The question is, do we want to see Goldberg in TNA? I don't want him to hog all the TV time like Jeff Jarrett does, and I know that in order to please him, TNA will have him destroy every other heavyweight wrestler.

TNA needs to just let their current roster shine, develop their characters more, and especially keep the X Division strong.

It could be that they fired Scott Steiner. Isn't his contract about up?

Also, in case it wasn't mentioned:

According to Lex Luger's MySpace page, he and Buff Bagwell are supposed to be at the Monday Impact tapings, but they could be on the PPV tonight.

Getting rid of Steiner would be a mistake IMO. He should be used more often and why he is not at JJ's side in this whole fans revenge concept is mind boggling, especially since he just had a fued with Joe.

Well, I will say that I get a lot of laughs out of Scott Steiner's promos.

"Hey, 'Shmo' Joe, I come from a top scholastical institution! I have to dumb myself down because nobody would understand me!"

Wouldn't that be a giant mindfuck if Scott Steiner is really an intellectual in real life? Of course, I know that has a snowball's chance in hell of being true, but wouldn't that be funny?

It's like when you see a wrestler who is an awesome heel and when you meet them in real life, they're one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. Or how Kane comes off as a big brute on TV, but he's a giant gaming nerd in real life?

I think I'm going to order the PPV after all. The Ultimate X match should be pretty good.
I heard the suprise is
an alternate timeslot where they'll be on Monday nights or something

That's possible. I think it's a big name like Goldberg because they haven't been doing very well ratings wise, so there's no incentive for Spike to move them up. If they add a big name that draws a ratings increase, then Spike could be motivated to move them up. In the meantime, I don't see any trend of TNA "growing" into a prime time slot.

I sure don't think that they deserve it, given the "Jackass" booking lately. E-fucking-gads.

Wow... this Ultimate X Tag match has been nothing short but awesomeness. :D

Edit:

AJ just put Homicide thru a table via Styles Clash. fuckING AMAZING!!!!!
