The Fabulous Freebirds' wrestling topic
Man im still hyped about this angle thing... any word on when he debuts?
No word if he'll appear on Impact, but he's been confirmed for Bound for Glory.

That's freaky. I was just thinking about Eric "Bisquick" (as Hall called him. Thanks for that interview, OTM) today and wondered what he was up to.

I watched RAW for the first time in 6 months, I see they're opening with a womans match and the lights are off.

Back to football.
See what happens when Bischoff is around...
Yes, sign that man to a lifetime contract ASAP

- edit Lights are back on. Party over.

And Cena still sucks

Hardy's such a hardcore wigga, fo sho.

My prediction for the Tag gauntlet. 1st team is Viscera/Haas, 2nd is Cade/Murdoch, 3rd is Nash & Hall w/ Bischoff

Yea, really fat chance, lol.

A statement from Kurt Angle on coming to TNA along with a message regarding the concerns people have been having about his health. It seems like they know they should take it easy on him and only give him light work for the first couple of months with maybe one or two big PPV matches thrown in. I could see him playing a role similar to that of Low Ki where he does not wrestle on Impact all that much, but is still a factor in storylines.

Ah how wonderful, I didn't miss Jeff Hardy's match this week, although I still want to hear what he said to Shelton Benjamin.

wtf...

Fruit, fruity, fruit, FRUITY! skittles... the King is under suspicion

The Cryme Thyme thing.....

I mean, what, Whaaa, what the fuck, what the fuck is that? As if narrow minded white America needs more reasons to hate blacks, they show this white bread gettin robbed while at an ATM, without even a HINT of irony.

i really hope that Kurt is indeed happy and not just putting on a bullshit show for this press release. The guy has enough problems with his family and his health, and hopefully he can overcome those problems that can be fixed and be a great asset to TNA and not a liability.

Vince has done worse...

Wow Raw sucks, I love when Lita said; "John I'm a better wrestler then you" I'm thinking really cause Cena can hit his finishing move. Unlike someone who after 5+ years couldn't hit her finishing moonsault.
bischoff!!!!!

im sold on that book!!! nwo ownz!
fuck, don't tell me something good happened. I switched to MNF and forgot to switch back. What did I miss?

I was doing homework in the other room and totally forgot to check the TV. What was with Bischoff and Booker T being there?

Bischoff was doing nothing, except pimping out his book. No wonder him and Hogan got along so well...

As for Booker he was out there beating down Cena for about 10 minutes straight with Finlay & Regal's help. Edge just watched for some reason. Anyhow they made Cena "humble" (not Sheik humble though) and made him kiss Booker's royal foot. Makes no sense that Lashley & Batista didn't make a run-in save, oh well, who really cares at this point?

Notes: Jeremy Borash announced that Kurt Angle would make his official TNA debut by appearing at the next taping...

FYI,
the next taping in question would be the 10/12 show.

Whoa, the DX vs NWO thing might be real with Bischoff coming out and making a big deal.

If they were just going to have him plug his book, he would have gotten a full time, but by cutting him off, he'll be back

He could not touch him because he would not get to invoke his rematch clause if he touched him. I would have much rather heard Eric pimp out his book than watch 10 minutes of a horrible beatdown. Booker's kicks on Cena were some of the worst kicks I have ever seen in my life. No effort was put out and it was really sad.

I didn't watch RAW but did Bischoff return as GM or was he there just to plug his book?

Edit: Shit... looks like I got an excuse to watch Impact this Thursday. :D

Sadly...

Its obvious that Raven is jobbing to Joe. Oh well.... at least we'll get to see Raven vs Samoa Joe finally!
As much as I don't like seeing Angle go to wrestle before healing, this is what TNA wanted. I never watched before, but with Angle, who is in my top 5 of all time, I will be watching TNA every week. I've wanted to start earlier, but this just gives me that little push towards actually doing it that I wanted/needed.
fuck yes.

This is the main thing TNA has wanted since it came out, since it grabbed Christian, Rhyno, and whoever else the WWE threw away. They finally got their hands on someone who will put viewers in front of the television and asses in the seats.

All TNA has to do now is go to 2 hours at a decent time and WWE will be feeling the hurt.

The 11/16 Impact will be 2 hours. That means its VITAL that we get everyone who even remotely enjoys wrestling to tune their asses in that night.

He might job, but at least it won't be as painful as Liger vs. Joe.

I understand they only had 8 minutes, but having Liger hit Joe with everything didn't help. Liger Bomb, Palm Strike, Koppou Kick, Liger Splash... you name it. At least Liger wasn't pinned and he just got choked out.

That woudl definitely help. With more time to flesh out characters and storylines, and matches that aren't squashes, TNA's stock in the wrestling world will rise.

Even that wasn't as painful as Liger vs Williams from Slammiversary a few months ago when TNA lost the power to their satellite near the end of the match. Nothing worse than missing the end to a match that was going so well up until that point.

Yeah, that sucked. I was bitching out the cable company and then they decide to show the conclusion of the match later.

I didn't like the finish that much, but it's great to see Liger pick up the win.

With Angle on board anything is possible... I thought Vince would have locked up people like Angle in so many non-compete's it would make his head spin.

Vince will regret this day that Kurt Angle signed with TNA... this is TNA's smartest move yet, certaintly better than Sting, Christian, and whoever else they've tried. If Angle dosen't put asses in the seats than TNA might as well give up.

From what I understand the cause of the outage was due to a lightning storm in the area knocking out the power to their transmitter. Funny this isn't the first time TNA had that happen as they lost power to the transmitter during the 3/05/03 Wednesday PPV. And out of all moments it happened during... you guessed it... a Raven promo.

It was right when Kevin Sullivan cut Raven off during his speech building up towards that night's main event of Raven vs Sandman in the first ever Raven's Clockwork Orange House Of Fun match as seen on both Raven's best of and the Bloodiest Brawls DVD sets.

Vince of all people would know that Angle would end up in TNA because the man can't stop competing. Something would have to be seriously wrong for WWE to just outright release one of their top-tier stars instead of having him sit at home collecting paychecks.

The whole situation has me extremely worried about Angle's health and well-being. I don't care what he or TNA says, his body is broken/breaking down.

I think, like someone else said, he's going to be there as more of a figurehead... he'll make appearances, he'll wrestle at some major PPV's, and maybe the rare impact. Kind of like Sting. That's just a guess of mine though.

Even seeing Angle cut a promo is enough to make me start watching.
Raven promo.
"Blood gushing out of your head!"

I liked that Raven promo with Larry Z. It was so stupid.

Also, Raven needs to go back to the jean shorts. This little skirt thing isn't good for a man his size. Then again, once it all boils down to it...

We're watching grown men in their underpants fighting each other. Scary, isn't it?

Also, I was thinking of some stupid little gimmicks that could be given to certain TNA wrestlers.

I remember thinking that Kazarian has this Randy Orton look to him, and maybe TNA could make him "The Star Crusher" (instead of Legend Killer).

Kazarian: Hey, Sonjay Dutt. Man, I remember seeing you in India promoting TNA. They loved you. That would make you... a star! (hits his finisher, called "The Falling Star")

DW: Oh, my God! He just hit The Falling Star on Dutt! He crushed another star, Tenay!

Also, Maverick Matt could become "The Show Starter," for obvious reasons. His superkick could be "The Curtain Drop."

Matt: Once I hit the kick, the show's over! But it doesn't start without me, The Show Starter!

Of course, those sound like shit gimmicks that the WWE would come up with, but still... it'd be funny to see TNA take more jabs at Vince.

Something I wrote about Kurt Angle on another site:

He had about 250+ matches a year, remember house shows and that stuff

His condition wont be as impacted in that arrangement as much.

2 tapings for 2 weeks of matches, 1 PPV match, thats only 5 matches a month to almost 5 times or more of the same types of matches

TNA Wrestling held their “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV tapings on Monday night in Orlando at Universal Studios following Sunday’s “No Surrender” Pay-Per-View. Here are some news and highlights from the day…

Radio personality Bubba The Love Sponge’s sidekick “25 Cent” was in attendance at the event, watching the action from backstage along with the rest of the TNA stars. Bubba and his crew are huge wrestling fans and regularly discuss the sport on-air.

Kevin Nash and Billy Kidman were backstage at the event. Kidman was also in attendance on Sunday and – prior to the announcement about Kurt Angle – he attempted a last-minute reunion of some members of his old WCW “Hot News!” clique in order to try to uncover the surprise, to no avail.

Speaking of Kurt Angle, one TNA star who is looking forward to seeing the Olympic gold medalist again is fellow Pittsburgh native “The Franchise” Shane Douglas, who would regularly bump into Angle at the airport during their travels. It was also announced during the event that Angle would make his TNA “iMPACT!” debut in Orlando at the next TV tapings on Monday, October 9.

Expect more exciting news on the TNA/SpikeTV relationship in the next week or so – perhaps even sooner!

A host of TNA stars are hooked on YouTube.com, the popular video website and also an online partner of TNA Wrestling. During the downtime backstage in Orlando, several wrestlers surf the site. David Young has recently become a fan and has been adding Diamonds In The Rough fan tribute videos to his MySpace page.

Expect Konnan to become more involved in helping TNA Wrestling gain exposure in Mexico. Following the huge success of last week’s TNA vs. AAA event in Mexico, officials from both companies are interested in holding similar events in the future.

The Six Sides of Steel cage match will be making its return at Bound For Glory – tune into “iMPACT!” this Thursday on SpikeTV for details!

Matt Bentley is sporting a new tribal artwork tattoo on his right arm, with a “B” at the center of the design. He got the ink to compliment the “M” on his left arm.

October 9 Angle debuts!? I'm there!

I wonder what kinda shit entrance theme they're going to give Angle, it won't be the same without his WWE one.

wish i could go.. im thinking about going to the ppv after bound for glory genesis assuming its back in orlando..

nice to see nash at tapings.. wonder whats going on. noticed they updated his roster pic on tna's site
