The Fabulous Freebirds' wrestling topic
I gave away my complete set of VHS tapes of TYO after the DVD came out. ;)

Motorhead, The Damned, Madness (twice!), and others made that show even more fun to watch.
That's probably my favorite DVD actually. My bestfriend and I have been obsessed with the show since we were very young ones. In fact we just watched Flood & Bomb the other day. Tent. Camp. Gay.

Do you have Bottom too?
Bam Bam & Neidhart? What the hell was THQ thinking? I'd preferred if they put the Legion of Doom back in the game.
Blasphemy indeed, you do realize that with Neidhart in the game you can play as one of the greatest tag team of all time now, don't you?

And I'd imagine a lot of you have got to be pleased that Mr. Perfect finally made the cut.

I'm mildly stunned Brian Pillman didn't get into the game, as everyone else with a WWE dvd released this year seems to be included.

SvR 2007 is one of the greatest wrestling games I've ever played... I'm having so much fun with the demo. I can't wait until the full game comes out, playing on getting this one ASAP at launch.

I cannot wait for this game to come out. I got a whole bag of shit I plan on trading in for credit towards Gears of War and Smackdown. I love how it actually feels like real wrestling. The controls are still going to take a little getting used to, but everything that has been added making getting used to the controls a minor point.

I'm glad Tazz is back in the game... hopefully he'll have a lot of suplexes at his disposal.

Bam Bam will never be as good as he was in WWF: The Arcade Game though :)

The fact that the fans go "woooooooo" at the chops just made me

As Kane, I put Triple H on the announcer table, hit the button for the finisher and Kane jumped from the ring to the announcers table to crush Triple H... awesome.

Demo Man would you expect anything different? They aren't going to end his streak to Raven during an Impact match.

Best part of the show so far has been Cage hating on West.

But did Raven have to job????

I loved the Raven vs Joe match regardless. It was damn fun. The Cage/Rhino stuff was fun too. The LAX vs Styles/Daniels promo has been nice as well. I got my hours worth. :D

There's less talking on the average episode of goddamn Oprah than there was on Impact tonight. Hard sell on BFG! Hard sell!

I thought Team 3D was good on the mic, but Bubba Ray is way the hell out of shape - how you get fat in Japan is beyond me, but he managed to succeed despite expectations to the contrary.

I have to agree. I wish they would set up the show more akin to ECW than to Raw. I know they have to hawk their PPV, but they do it in excess and it hurts their product.

Total agreement on tonight's Impact feeling like an hour long informercial for BFG. Not that the show wasn't fun which believe me - it was fun. But at the end I felt like it was more of an informercial than it was a wrestling show. Oh well.....
so was justin credible fired? that sucks ass if he was.. hes still on the roster page
That's what I'm wondering. I saw the report on wrestling sites, but nothing on WWE.com. That's usually when it's official.

In all likelihood I'm going to go to the October 9th Impact taping (Angle's first Impact appearance) and I need some feedback/suggestions on signs. Here are a few that I've thought up so far:

"TNA Thursday Night Nitro"
"Warrior please pray for my gay soul" - I don't think I'll go through with this one!
"Where's RoboCop?"
"David Arquette held more titles than you"
"Gem Mint 10" - for DW
"OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW! Your career is over
"Marine in theaters Friday!"
"Jarrett is nepotism"
"The drag-on, Xplosions main event, the show staller, Matt Bentley"
"Bubba, no more McGriddles!"
"HEY MAN! It's Alex Wright (the German)!"
"Sign the Boogeyman!"

Random:
"Do a barrel roll! (Z or R twice)"
"MASSIVE DAMAGE"

If anyone can think of a condescending sign to direct towards Vince Russo or Jeff Jarrett (or in general!), I'd really appreciate it!
Yep, Universal Studios.
I might make the drive to see Angle... does it cost anything to get in?
I might make the drive to see Angle... does it cost anything to get in?
Negative, only ten bucks or so to park (after six o'clock).

Admission to Universal Studios is free? OK, well how much are tickets to TNA? And how do they work? General admission or assigned seats? I never know if I'll end up in Florida.

More sign ideas:

"Samoa Joe fears salads"

"Eric Young gets a 2 out of 5" (when he was blonde, he reminded me of Adam Sessler from X-Play)

There is a part of of Universal Studios called "City Walk" that doesn't require admission. It's just a bunch of pricey restaurants, House of Blues, and nestled away in a little corner is the studio where Impact is. Basically, a line starts in front of a far off gate and they let you in when it's time. There are no assigned seats. Think of it as a high school basketball game, but in a smaller gym. You have the option of sitting in bleachers or standing by the ring. The side they show on TV where all the fans are seated is the only place you can sit, the other side is for VIPs and whatnot, there are only fans on one side.

I was thinking of a Joe sign, but couldn't figure out how to condense "Joe's theme music sounds like it's for an elephant." I'm also in the mood to make fun of Matt Bentley for whatever reason.

I might be misunderstanding this... aside from parking and waiting in line, TNA is free? No, I'm definitely misreading something.

Joe as an elephant!

The best reason to make fun of Matt Bentley is because of the person he models himself after. He wasn't even trained by him.

More random ones:

"Alex Wright fears dancing lessons"
"Jeff Jarrett fears La Parka"
"Bubba Ray is Ralphus"
"Jeff Jarrett fears earth tones"
"I want my money back!"
"Angle fears sloth"
"Truth, learn to rap - Randy Savage"

TNA is indeed free. I guess because it's a TV show filmed in the same studio week after week (rather than a sports event that moves around all the time), so like all TV show tapings, it's free!

I'm gonna gitcha Matt Bentley!

Not gonna lie, that made me giggle.

"Matt screwed Bret!"

did anyone see the fucked up lashley entrance they put at ign.. its like all zoomed in.. you cant see shit

Any ways i uploaded the hb kurt video.. just click on my sig

2 fast if you could fit it in sign form, you should put up something along the lines of:

You just got another Bret Hart Russo, don't fuck it up

JBL once again ruled on commentary. "THIS MAN IS NOT MY BOY, HE WEARS CHAPS FOR GOD'S SAKE!" He was better than anything on Impact, which just felt like an hour of nothing with occasional wrestling thrown in.

How much are the PPV events, then?

It'd be awesome to see Impact, though, especially for free.

Thanks, Guyver. I'll grab it later.

"Hands off the merchandise! Whoo!"

I forgot. Did anyone pick up the Brian Pillman set? My brother and I picked it up. It sounded too good to pass up.

I was about to comment on it . It is INCREDIBLE. The documentary is the most emotional one since Eddie's, and does a better job than most of capturing the man's whole career. I've seen all of disc 1 and some of 2 and love it - definitely worth the price so far. I took 200 screens from it and made Pillman in No Mercy to recreate some of his classic matches and have dream matches as well. I've uploaded all of them to youtube. The set is $15 at CC until Saturday, but I bought it at Wal-Mart because I couldn't wait until then to buy it.

Funny. I picked it up at Wal-Mart and my brother picked up Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2-Disc. I didn't want to wait, either, and I was already delivering supplies to Wal-Mart, so I grabbed it on the way out.

Glad to see it's great. I will watch it this weekend.

EDIT:

Apparently this came out this week. I don't know if anyone here watched it (wasn't it before or after Monday Nitro?), but apparently three "movies" of "Thunder in Paradise" with Hulk Hogan are on DVD. It's 3 movies on 3 discs according to the set.

I saw it for $15 at Wal-Mart. Here's the Amazon listing for it.

EDIT 2:

A review for the Thunder set. According to this, if you like really cheesy bad action movies, you'll love the set. Brutus Beefcake in a fake beard, and Jimmy Hart... what other movies have that?

EDIT 3:

Thank you, Guyver. I saw the HBKurt video and it brought back funny memories. Classic. :D
Why not bring a sign that says:

I LOVE JOHN CENA

You're guaranteed to draw some attention.
The "Marine in theaters this Friday" sign sort of has the same effect, and makes me seem like more of an ass for promoting a WWE project on a TNA show without any good reason.

I do believe that PPVs are free, but I'm not 100% on that.

Ok, how about... "I'd LOVE JOHN CENA's cock in my mouth" ???

That'd draw some blank stares!

In further news, it seems as though Justin Credible pretty much quit on WWE, before they fired him... interesting.

haha wow that clip is hilarious. I wasn't paying too much attention to wrestling at that time, so this is my first time seeing it. I miss the days when Angle was a little bit on the "goofy" side...not so damn serious and intense all the time.

Good stuff there. While on the subject of Angle gimmicks:

Edit: Man, watching that reminds me of how much I hate Cena's gimmick. The fact that he transformed from a white rapper to a country-boy marine is beyond me.
