*THE OFFICIAL 2008 ELECTION RESULTS * -President Obama picking Cabinet now

It's not over yet, Ohio only had 15% when they called it and in 2000 Florida went Bush, Gore, Bush Gore, Bush, Gore, Bush, Me, Gore, Bush. :)
Woo, payday lending passed and casino failed in Ohio.
Sweet. Things I voted on passed the same way I voted. I thought that might happen in my lifetime.

The payday lending bill puts limitations on the interest rates 'ghetto banks' charge for their payday loans. YAY FOR NOT BILKING THE POOR!

EDIT: DAMMIT CNN, I WANT MORE HOLOGRAM!

Guess I'll have to go with the old standby:

In 2000, they called it for Gore when polls closed in the Eastern part of the state, then 2 hours later, they took it back, 4 hours later they called it for Bush, then an hour later they called that back.

I agree and i am worried of something like this....however there are 2 problems.

1. Obama is outperforming the past Dems
2. Gore technically still won the election but was screwed out of Florida

In 10 minutes, the Indecision 2008 Daily Show/Colbert Report live show is coming on. I kind of doubt it can overcome the breadth of comedy being put on by Fox right now though.
Ah good, was hoping it would work out so people didnt get those insane rates. Wasnt sure how I felt on the casino.
The payday lending issue is known as the "job killing bill."

As far as the casino... even if it paid taxes, all of those taxes are earmarked for gambling education and prevention, so there would be a net income of zero. Sure you'd get some new jobs, but that's about it.

At this point he could lose Florida and Colorado and still win (just playing around with CNNs user controlled map). All he needs is the whole west coat and Hawaii that he's favored to win anyway. This is all over. Anybody who has to work tomorrow might as well turn in.

"If Obama wins, don't expect black people to do anything the day after the election."

-Chris Rock

...Or something like that - I'm sure I'm butchering the joke.

This is like Halo 3 all over again, but without the aftertaste of being a rehash from 2 years prior.

The only bright side for Republicans, if you can call it bright, is that, unless some weird stuff happens, there won't be a super majority in Senate.

I'm going to guess that Stevens wins Alaska, he won't resign, and Bush pardons him. He's still got to hand those things out. Then in 6 years, Palin runs for the U.S. Senate in Alaska because Stevens won't run again.

hahahahahaa

I still dont understand the logic behind if Obama is elected we will wake up tomorrow in a 3rd world country.

This fear of Armageddon just because the person you wanted to win didnt is crazy. I voted for Obama but if ol' Johnny boy did get the upset I would be disspointed but I wouldnt be running naked through the streets cry my eyes out and speaking in toughes like sidecage.

Let's cut to the chase - did Obama win Alaska?

That would be the ultimate penis slapdown of the century, and it's only two-thousand-fuckin'-eight.

"If Obama wins, cancel all your black shit. If you have any black shit that needs to get done, it ain't gon' get done."

So Obama is winning by barely 100,000 votes. Sounds tight. Oh the drama.

I'll leave this high entertainment for those of you that care while I go download the newly open-to-all Call of Duty 5 beta.

Even on 360 it's open to d/l?

As a Mac user, the idea of 'computer games' is an alien one.
Anyone think that huge crowd at the Obama park is a bit dangerous?

Anyone think that huge crowd at the Obama park is a bit dangerous?
no. what sort of intellectual numbskullery would you like to display to justify this bit of insight?

If it's going to happen it's going to happen. I have faith in the Secret Service though.

And Joe Biden

ya 360 has open beta now
no. what sort of intellectual numbskullery would you like to display to justify this bit of insight?
Well, let's see...

- Large area open to the public
- In the middle of downtown Chicago (lots of buildings surrounding said park)
- A huge ass crowd (I'm going to guess 125,000 people) that is unpredictable
lol, there's Rumor that Oprah is in the crowd in Chicago
So she's going to give away 125,000 cars, then?
Wow, so it really does look like Obama is winning. This is exciting.
yay! almost ready to party

I know that if you take viagra and the erection lasts for more than four hours, that's a medical emergency, but what if I'm doing that based on pure joy mixed with shadenfreude?
So she's going to give away 125,000 cars, then?
now that would be awesome... and she probably could

then its okay... but still go to the ER to get your penis injected with epi

So did JFK...

too much is currently based on projection when not all the votes are in. People have gone to sleep after being told that they have won and the machines flip the remainder overnight and they wake up having somehow lost. Its not over.
then its okay... but still go to the ER to get your penis injected with epi
Not that epinephrine to the penis doesn't sound like an awesome idea, but how is that going to help Strell?
