Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Found 3 copies of Uncharted 3 CE my local Target for half off, which was 49.98, put one on hold, went back later to pick it up, the other 2 were gone. The employees looked pissed off when they saw me picking it up...haha, DCIP for UC3 is - 207240066, oh and I picked up

The Zelda CE sold out in every store here at $69.99 not just Target, of course my stores only got 0-2 copies each. The Mario All Stars CE didn't sell anywhere here at $29.99, in fact there may still be some left over. Still too much for games I own 5 versions of already.
 
Hell yeah. Just picked up the last copy of Zelda CE for $34.98.

Question: It seems like the remote/items inside the box is loose. Is it supposed to be like that? Just wondering (I'm a collector) because there is no major damage on the box whatsoever.

Don't waste your gas. I checked the OKC Targets via PDA at work and didn't see any in OKC, Moore, Quail Springs, Yukon nor Edmond. All show stock level at 0.

I see the photos and am not disputing it but I still don't believe it's real. As others have said, it's sold out at every retailer in 50mi of me and at $70.

Question about the Zelda CE Bundle: Just opened my CE and found out the Music CD is missing. Can someone tell me whether the Music CD is inside the game or not?
 
Pretty sure the music CD is in the game case, as it's included with all first print copies and isn't exclusive to that bundle.

Picked up Heavy Rain, LA Noire and Ninja Storm 2 all on PS3. I really wanted them all (well NS2 and LA Noire) on the 360 but for the price I'll go with the PS3 versions.

Just got back from the IngleHOOD Target, where I picked up the last copy of Zelda Skyward Sword L.E. ($49.98...I will pull a return/rebuy when it inevitably hits 70% - $21.xx!!! - or more off in the system at one of the numerous stores around here), just sitting there in the pile o' clearance games. Seems the homies aren't down with Zelda.

I asked for more copies, but alas, there were no more. Someone had cleaned out the Hawthorne store's supply yesterday or today (glad I checked the online inventory tracker before heading out), so I targeted (pun intended) the Inglewood store first thing this morning slightly out of the way to the office.

Nothing else there of note on clearance (except for maybe Heavy Rain vanilla GH/non-GH copies for $8.98), but as I had entered the store, a bubbly employee was manning a table that said "thank you Target helpers" where there were coupons for $5 of $25 purchases! I asked for and received a couple of them. I did not use one for the Zelda purchase, as I will apply it later when I inevitably return/rebuy it. BTW these coupons were apparently supposed to be for senior citizen customers only :whistle2:#, which I was informed of by another employee when I went back to try to get a few more coupons after my successful MW3 HE price adjustment. Whoops. So, YMMV on your store having these coupons and getting them.

After picking up the lone Zelda copy, I hit a price checker and started scanning. Sure enough MW3 was in the system at $29.98, and with the coupon, I thought I'd give it a shot to get it applied! So I paid for Zelda, threw it in the car, and brought in MW3 HE, its receipt, and one of the $5 off $25 coupons I had just picked up and headed to customer service. Asked to change my payment method on it, she scanned the receipt, scanned the game, and credited me in full. Then scanned the game again, scanned the coupon, did a double take and said, "shoot, must be cheaper here". $24.99 + tax (9.25% :cry:) and I was out the door (after being denied more of the $5 off $25 coupons hehe).

BTW, I had also already used the Spend $50 get a $10 GC coupon against this MW3 purchase in a previous return/rebuy, so I wasn't sure I would need to return that GC for the return or what - turned out I didn't, because I was refunded my entire previous MW3 purchase without any questions asked.

Found a Zelda Skyward Sword Wii Remote Plus bundle at my Oro Valley Target today for $49.98. Snatched that up as quickly as possible. It's in perfect condition other than the box being slightly beat up. No idea why this was on clearance.

Also found LA Noire for both Xbox and PS3 on sale for $11.98. Kind of wished I hadn't just bought it a little while ago for $19.99. I tried finding a receipt to see if I could work some kind of return/rebuy but I can't find the receipt. Oh well, used a giftcard anyway.
 
At the Target in San Dimas, CA, I bought:

LA Noire for $12
Just Cause 2 for $9
Child of Eden for $12
Dragon Age II for $9

There were 3 LA Noire, 2 Just Cause 2, 2 Dragon Age II, and 2 Child or Eden left. I also saw 1 WWE title at $12 (not sure what), about 5 Operation Flashpoint Red River at $9, and 1 MX vs. ATV Alive for $6. These were all XBox but there were also a ton of PS3 games there that I didn't look over.

So...the week before Black Friday I had just finished Batman Arkham City and was weighing the purchase of MW3 vs. AC:Revelations as I con only afford 1 until after Christmas. I was so worried about not having a new game to play and now I have 4! Looks like MW3/AC:Revelations can wait until January/Feb.

I wasn't expecting the major price drop either but seeing how everyone else is having success, I had to make a call and sure enough, prices dropped. Hopefully you're store may have done it today?

Unfortunately no Zelda CE or MW3 Hardened. But I have to say...in the past 4-5 years now for hunting after Target video game clearances...this is probably the best I've seen. Great to see that many of you are taking advantage of the clearance!

The only two I was unable to get in time was the lone Castlevania PS3 and Dragon Age II.
 
man, this last big drop caused a pull in all the stores around here I think. One store last Thursday literally had 40 copies of L.A. Noire, now 3 stores have ZERO copies!! really was hoping to score one at $12 for a gift to a friend. Would love to see Spiderman SD for $9, but I've only seen one lone copy of that at one store anyways..

My Targets are pretty lackluster. Okay deals sometimes if I'm actually looking for something; but very rarely do I splurge on something just because of a low price. Eh, I digress. Good work, man!
 
Picked up the last copy of uncharted 3 ce today for $49.98. The guy at the register started smiling and said "you got the last one..." I think he may have been holding in the pain (sorry dude) nothing else but shovelware. Went to another target out of my area just to see what was there and there were literally nothing but ds and Wii games (I have neither) nothing really stuck out to me to remember
 
Finally got some decent deals last night, good day for drops. Picked up Naruto 2 PS3 for $11.98, RDR 360 for $11.98, and NBA Jam for PS3 for $4.98. (now to return the copy I bought at 9.98 the day before Thanksgiving but never got around to playing anyway ;) )

Also picked up a couple of the hard drives on clearance, the 1.5TB WD for $71.xx and the 1TB WD (laptop size, no power supply needed) for $85. Not entirely sure what I am doing with them but with HD prices going through the roof due to the Thailand floods I figured it was some insurance against any issues with capacity I had in the new few months. ;)
 
The Target at Springfield Mall (Springfield PA) had 4 Zelda bundles left as of a few hours ago, priced at $49.98. Considered grabbing them all and playing Santa to all my Wii owning friends but I stuck with one for myself. I have the game so I'm going to keep the Wii Remote and gift the game to a friend (it's sealed separately from the full package)

Someone cleared out my local target sometime after 7 pm last night (several U3 CEs with wear/tear to the box, and most of the ps3/360 games). I wonder if it was a CAG, slickdealer, employee, el hoardo, or a soccer mom...
 
Finally saw allstars for $15 today. Will pick that up on friday. Also transformers was there. Any one know that price on that? Plus is it a good game? (Not a big transformers fan)

I've got the store right by my office, the Culver City South store (in the mall), showing Zelda Skyward Sword LE, Uncharted 3 CE, and COD MW3 HE all in stock, but they are nowhere to be found in store. I doubt they were hidden somewhere in the store by a customer, at least not Uncharted 3 CE given its size, and suspect an employee is hiding/holding them in the back stockroom for subsequent drops, or perhaps waiting until he/she can afford them. I even had a worker in electronics check the DPCIs on his pda as well as checked a price checker in store, and they listed nada for all of them.

I did find and pick up the 1 of the 3 Uncharted 3 CE's that are allegedly in stock there (Inglewood store checked inventory at local stores for me earlier today) for $69.99 and will get it price adjusted when it hits $29.98 or lower at a store around me.

Not bad at all....ended up getting

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (1 copy for PS3 and 1 for 360), 11.98
2 copies of Top Spin 4 for PS3, 8.98
and a copy of Operation Flashpoint Red River for 11.98

Kept one copy of Top Spin and Naruto for myself, and traded the rest in. Pretty much the end of the epic clearance racks here. I'm surprised how dang fast Naruto sold out, just saw 4 copies yesterday and there was only 1 left today, i think i got the last 2 in the area. (Had to drive to 3 different stores to find the PS3 version
 
For anyone that cares:

Independence, MO: Not worth your time. Everything was the same price as last week. I even scanned some games to double check, and sure enough... same price as what it was stickered. Also, selection was pretty poor.

Blue Springs, MO: Surprisingly decent. $8.98 Top Spin 4 for PS3, some good DS/3DS games, Red River was $13, etc. A few copies of each game. Just everything was a couple dollars more than I wanted to spend. Almost picked up WarioWare DIY for $9; but decided to pass as I didn't think I'd play it any time soon.

Lee's Summit, MO: No idea how true it is, but I ran into a guy who said he just came back from there and that it was pretty picked over. Who knows if he was lying or not.

I found the Skyward Sword bundle for $49.98. I was hoping for $34.98. $50 was a good enough deal for me, so I bought it. They only had one copy.
 
I didn't quite understand one fascet about this.

Is it find the ones going out before they're gone, or is it a "get them price adjusted to this" type thing? I expect the former but hope for the later...

My guess is that someone mistakenly thought its MSRP was $29.99 and the $7.48 is the 75% off clearance mark.
