Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Its good, but it doesn't have a lot of content actually in the game. Its designed for micro-DLC transactions to add content into the game.

Kind of a rip at full price, but for $6, you could do much worse.
 
The Target I frequent recently moved non apple products to another aisle and it seems they're dedicating one side of an aisle to apple products.

I've been watching THIS for a few weeks. I was hoping it'd drop to 70% today, but it stayed at 50%, and I decided to say why not. It was $84.98 pre-tax, and with the reviews of it, I decided to just jump in and get it. I've been having problems with my left ear lately, so my hearing isn't at it's peak, but so far, this thing is pretty damn fine for my bedroom.
 
Yep electronics is clearing out old inventory and bringing in new models. There was a guy asking the price adjustment crew to check every single model's DPCI on their PDA, lol.

All depends on the store and when they get around to it. Electronics/games etc. is usually on Monday mornings, but it could be anytime really.

If I find something that hasn't dropped further that I'm interested in, I might go find an employee doing clearance pricing in electronics or elsewhere in the store and ask them if they could scan the item and see if it dropped further. Usually they are willing to do so. If so, great. If not, no big deal.
 
a few weeks back, i heard a department manager telling the employees they have to redo the entire electronics department again (employees were like "AGAIN!? we just redid it #-o") i overheard manager saying new spring model tv's are coming, but all their tv are on clearance for only 10% off.

that 55' panasonic plasma tv is $1000 on clearance. i should have picked up the 60' version the same model from amazon for $1000 a few months back.

must be something to do with the manufacturers? i read an article that major manufacturers (samsung, sony, etc. ) are penalizing distributors (bestbuy, walmart, target, etc) for selling prior season models for hundreds/thousands off msrp.

Yes. I loved both Undead Nightmare and RDR. RDR was an amazing game with a great story and Undead Nightmare was just icing on the cake for zombie fans.

One more push for you to get the original. It's a game that makes you want to take your time, which is rare. Also one of the very few games I bothered to 1000/1000 (at least until all of the new MP achievements came along). Heck, save your $8 now and put it towards the goty version next time it's on sale.

These two are already post and mid-remodel for "fresh groceries" so they had both cleared out their stockrooms weeks ago with all sorts of weird ass stuff surfacing "as-is". Picked up a dvd set of The Cape for about $2 just for fun.
 
Odd how weeks after release my Target all of a sudden had three Mass Effect 3 CE's. I checked release day and have been back at least once a week since and they did'nt have these. Now all of a sudden there are three.

Ps3 rage regular edition was $8.98 & psp Madden 12 $11.98 in johnson city, TN

Lots of electronics on clearance about every tv, laptop accesories, apple head phone, digital photo display frams, skull candy, philips, sony head/ear phones, wireless speakers, toshiba wifiblu ray player, and printers. Let me put it this way they had 2 buggies of stuff they was gonna keep lol
 
Grabbed PS3 Ratchet & Clank for $15 as it was starting to dry up around here. Checked Target Azusa and they must have 100 copies of NBA2K11 for PS3 at $11.98. Looks like Dead Space 2 is gone around here. Only saw it twice at $21.
 
there's like ton of ps3 nba 2k11 in most of my local stores also. maybe not a hundred but at least 50 at one of them and at least 10 in most of the other stores i been to.

Eh. I never played the storyline in Undead Nightmare. I only bought it(actually got it for 'free' after returning some games to GS that were part of glitched online orders that came up $.00 after double discount stacking:booty:) for the online poker portion of it.

Otherwise I feel that far too many games nowadays are doing the 'ahhhh zombies' bullshit nowadays. Unless it was originally meant to be a zombie game(Dead Rising/Dead Island) I think it's stupid to add in a 'zombie mode' to games. Although the zombie thing after the credits in BLOPS was pretty damn funny, especially playing as JFK.:rofl:
 
Gainesville, FL has a ton of Sony/Samsung/Panasonic HDTVs at 50% off today. $289 for Sony 40", $189 for Sony 32"

The night shift threw away all the bases and remotes so nobody in the market (inc. myself) will buy one.

I bought a 26" LCD HDTV from Target 3 years ago and it died. Called # on my BoA Visa CC and they covered it, they match the term of the warranty. This was like month 22 out of the 2 years. So I'm not scared to buy floor models. Best Buy or Target store warranties are a rip off, one more reason why right there.
 
Be sure and check DPCIs/scan clearanced items as the clearance sticker prices are often outdated. Just scored a few more of the DS3 bundles because they were either not stickered, or had higher prices than the actual in store price.

Just came back and saw not many games on clearance. just some electric guitars for 30 (which i was thinking about getting) and some digital picture frames. Bunch of easter candies that weren't coming up on the system. I really wanted them.

I think a lot of Target stores did that to stop people from stashing games and other items until they drop to a lower price. I can't say I blame them really. While one person may be waiting till a game drops to $5-6, another person may be willing to buy it at $12 or above. But when someone hides something it not only screws up the stores' inventory, but it also deprives someone else who might've wanted to buy those items at the higher price.
 
My store never had the GoW/Red DS3 on clearance. They must've disappeared the first day or something. There were at least 3 of the Uncharted/Blue bundles on clearance though, but sadly I already have a blue controller. :cry:

A bunch of employees were in the back by the tv's and I heard one of them talking about a TV being only 289 dollars now. I guess they must have had that Sony tv there.

Some stores never stocked the GoW bundle, so that might have been the case with yours. I know one store near me never did, but they had something like 15 UC bundles the last time I was there. Just how Target distributes their inventory.

Also, for anyone in the LA area, the La Cienega Target had around 8 of the UC bundles left at $41.98 when I stopped by yesterday. Don't know if they do electronics drops today or not, but something to keep an eye on this week.

Be happy your store even carries it. My Targets never even carried it at MRSP. I want the game, and a controller though I'd prefer not red, so Best Buy may be the only choice for this bundle for me locally.
