Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Pimp car? Please, it's a poor man's Lexus, the bland ES model that grannies drive and is the least expensive Lexus offered. And to think someone would put those on a trunk like that, Lexus paint is soft and will easily scratch from doing that.

haha i feel the same way about people buying the cheapest car of a brand's line up (ie. bmw 1 series, mercedes c class, porsche boxter, etc.) so that they can own that certain brand, but that tidbit about lexus paint is pure hating.

I own Lexus' and can tell you first hand paint is soft. I've worked with dealers and for Lexus. :)

The IS 350 is my daily right now.

I was extremely happy to find the DSLite - I've been meaning to replace the somewhat defective one I got rid of a while back and I really like the color scheme on this one (minus the tacky GH logo, haha).

I also saw some pretty nice surround sound systems, blu ray players, and lots of various PC/Laptop accessories newly on clearance today.
Didn't notice any new games on clearance, oddly enough.

last time i checked, video games on clearance at target aren't there for the benefit of CAG , my daughter, and several kids find games to buy on clearance with their allowance etc (they don't give a shit about flipping them at GS) then there's all the other items like electronics, tools , are we el hoardo for picking up non gaming items?

seriously, what makes us any differen't than "el hoardo". ?? is targets clearance now for CAGs only? sure i'd like to stroll into target and pick over everything but it doesnt work like that.. noone is entitled to the clearance items, why should you get special treatment??

I have to drive to Boston tomorrow, and about 6-7 targets along the way... I can't wait to raid all of the Targets along the way!!! I am hoping for a ds bundle, and some decent games to flip. The Targets here in western mass never have anything, I know there is a slickdealer that lives in Amherst and I have seen some of their flips at BB... But I doubt they can always beat me to the clearance section!!!

Anyways, new car tomorrow and hopefully a dsi!

Sometimes the employees don't re-tag items right away so I'd recommend scanning anything you're interested in on the clearance rack.
I've found lots of stuff that was marked at a higher price but scanned at half or even less.

Not sure why all the hate on his car, except jealous for attention for your IS. And last I checked, the IS was the least expensive model offered.
 
No game drops here, but I did pick up a 25 pack Dual Layer DVD+Rs for $10.48 [056-06-0801]Great for getting all that pron off your hard drive.

Also grabbed a Logitech Z305 laptop sound bar. $11.98 [080-00-1115] The sound is not bad, much better than the factory speakers on my HP.

Did a Quadruple take as I saw VHS tapes on clearance from $21.xx down to $8.xx. The DPCI was 123(ok, not really..but...) because that chit's so fuckcking old!!!!!!!!:dunce:

Finally trading in my '04 grand prix GTP (just hit 88k miles, bought it a couple months old in january '05 with 12k on it)... I have been cross country in the thing so many times, living out of it for a week or so. Anyways, I am getting a Prius C 2. I have been searching for about a month now, and finally found one of the only two black ones in the state. Have to drive 2 hours to pick it up, but I can't wait to aim for 60-80 mpg. I am done with the whole supercharger and getting raped at the pump bs. Just hit 28, and I am wanting to be more practical these days.

Back on topic though, got my route mapped out for tomorrow, and hoping to find a gold mine at one of em!!! If there are any MA people here that could give me a heads up, between Worcester and Plymouth, would be much appreciated!

I used to live in central MA and never found much at the Worcester Target, it was always a poorly managed dump. Most of my better finds were at Westboro and Marlboro.

My stores have been keeping games like space marine at 50% for at least a month now. Something is up.

But the trip wasn't a total waste, since I did score with:
