Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I went to Target and took the risk of waiting another week for the PS3 controllers to drop (it was $29.98 before)...but this time after so many positive outcomes of waiting it out, this time it didn't work out as all 2-3 dozen PS3 controllers with the Uncharted pack were sold out :( Also, should of purchased the Undead Nightmare for the PS3 (for $9.98)...the only reason why I didn't purchase it last week is because I have RDR for the XB360 and debated if I wanted to get it for the PS3. But oh well... You snooze, you lose.

All they had today was Skate for the PS3 for $9.98 and some PS3 move game, two baseball MLB games for PSP (which I decided to buy MLB11 The Show for $8.98) and many PC demo packs. But did notice the Nancy Drew Ultimate Dare was $5.06 and Sim City 4 was $2.56. They also had Left 4 Dead on PC for $5.06 but doubt my 2004 laptop can play it..lol.

But this time around the clearance aisle was dominated by Logitech surround sound for laptops for $11.98 and an iPod Jensen DJ turntable, plus Microsoft Lifecams for under $10. Did see the Garmin Forerunner that was over $200 going for $109.

Finally got around to trying this speaker last night... And all I can say is avoid it at all costs. The sound quality was absolutely terrible -- the iPad's built-in speaker sounds way better. I played some piano music on it, and there was so much distortion that it didn't sound like a piano. Needless to say, this is getting returned as soon as I have a chance to make it back to Target. Very disappointed, as I've generally had good luck with Logitech products in the past.

By company policy (supposedly) a clearance item is supposed to stay in the bins behind CS until they do night restock. Meaning that it will have a night count and adjust properly.

Dream Trigger 3d for the 3ds for $.46. It was $.50 with tax. My 8 year old son was excited it was so cheap. He will get my 50 cents worth out of it.

Oh wow. Usually when it drops below 85% off, it usually gets sent back to warehouse/destroyed.

Was that a 90/95% discount? There should be small numbers at the top right of the DCPI/Clearance sticker.

anyone have any luck in the way of xbox headsets lately? I saw a turtle beach one, dont remember which model, but it was about 6 bucks and marked as-is. If I remember correctly as-is items do not show up on the target dcpi tracker

My buddy picked up a Zoom handheld recorder for $29.98 (originally $99.99). That was going to be mine but I couldn't think of a reason to buy it.

Didn't grab the DCPI but can if anyone is interested.

This was at the St. Charles, MO location who also had a bunch of the Jensen turntable iPod things. Maybe I'd be tempted at a very rock bottom price.

Also saw Julie and Julia bluray for $5.06.

Seeing anything here qualifies for excitement. Been such a drought since the store reset the electronics.

Checked the cases and saw Dead Space 2 with a clearance price of 14.99, I bought it but don't know if I made a good decision. Is that a good price for it?

I think she meant not all employees adhere to the policy so maybe they need to have a meeting and hammer it home. I will say that many people across the web have reported that they have employees who allow them to return/rebuy, so it's not a complete waste to ask. Personally, I know it's against their policy so I don't ever try it. I just purchase something at a price I will be happy with no matter what. If I ever see it cheaper I just buy it and return the old copy and leave it at that.

The MSRP for it is $29.99, so that's 50% off, which isn't half bad.

Dead Space 2 is definitely worth it at that price. I paid 20 and liked it. If you got the PS3 LE then you also get Extraction.

I found 1 at that price for the LE w/extraction in my local target. So if you drive a car with a high MPG you can try other targets for the LE.
 
Went to a local Target, today, and decided to check Electronics and what did I find? One lone, beat up, dragged down the street GoW Origins/DS3 box for $41.98 so I grabbed it. I'd never even seen one of those at this location when they were regularly priced at 59.99. It wasn't even tagged so I'm guessing it was a return or something?

This location also had a crap load of new Electronics including a Logitech speaker bar for iPod/iPhone. They were reduced to 49.98 from 99.99. I'll pick one up for my daughter if they're still around at 29.98.

If it's the pure-fi anywhere, its a steal at 50. This is one of the best electronics devices i've ever owned...i bought it at least 3 years ago.

Good sound for a ipod speaker set, but most importantly it's got a built-in rechargeable battery. You can get a legit 5-6 hours at max volume on a full charge.

They were marked down to 50 near me and i picked up two. My old one has been beaten nearly to death (though i had just replaced the dead battery a week earlier). Picked up #2 for dad who had just started inquiring about a rechargeable ipod speaker set.

It also includes a soft case and a remote FWIW.

They do a "Previously, on Dead Space", so you'll be ok if you don't, however, it's a great game that deserves to be played.

In SoCal, the Skate 3's are on clearance everywhere, but I don't think I've seen a single store put DQIX on clearance yet. They haven't even matched their online price of $20, everything's still at $35. Hopefully they get pushed onto clearance soon.
 
I'm looking at the last copy of LA Noire Complete for $19. Should I bite or let it ride to the next markdown? I have doubts it will make it through the weekend. Thoughts?
 
All left at my target is a bunch of warriors of rock copies. Just the game at that and priced at $15 is not much of a clearance for the disc alone. I got warriors of rock with the guitar for $5 dollars long ago....lol
 
Picked up the Gears of War 3 LE the other day, not sure if I want to keep it. I've played the first 2 but just never got the 3rd, is it too good of a price to return?

Depends what you paid for it. Being a gears fan, I would keep it for the swag stuff. I'm still waiting for the epic edition to drop to a reasonable price.
 
Noticed the MW3 360 console in the OP is on clearance for 281. Store trackers are showing some in stock in my state... is the MW3 still on clearance or was that extreme YMMV? Did anyone else have any luck? 360 is not reading discs here and there. Not sure if I should wait till E3, but at the same time $250ish for MW3 console isn't bad.

My store had the GarageBand Voices pack for $0.06. Even then I still didn't want it. lol

I picked it up for $8.98 and man was it terrible. Thankfully it traded in for about that much back then.
 
Do you find the clearance games in a special section? Or are they just on display with the regular games? Also I checked online it says they have a game in stock. But when I called they said they didnt have it. Does that mean that the online is wrong or the target itself? Either way I'm check it out later this weekend.

in my experience it depends how much clearance they have. if its just a few they'll be mixed within the regular games. otherwise there'll be an isle or two at the end. they also sometimes have a few clearance games on a front isle with the discount ones.
